Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared -
Chapter 1090: Replace it
Chapter 1090: Chapter 1090: Replace it
Boss Hong panicked, wanting to call for help, but most of his subordinates were chasing after the enemy’s boss and didn’t realize that Boss Hong was in danger.
Now, there were only about a dozen people beside Boss Hong, while at least fifty surrounded them.
Sister Hong stepped forward and issued her final warning, "Don’t throw your lives away for nothing. We’re only after Boss Hong. You can leave safely."
Hearing this, and seeing the knives in everyone’s hands, those responsible for protecting Boss Hong immediately abandoned the idea of fighting to the death and raised their hands to surrender.
"You bastards!" Boss Hong cursed through clenched teeth. He saw Sister Hong standing with the enemy and instantly understood everything. He was the real one who had been tricked.
Sister Hong cracked a slight smile, opened the car door, yanked Boss Hong out, then threw him to the ground hard, "Sorry, Boss Hong, but tonight might be the last time I call you boss."
Boss Hong, gritting his teeth in hatred, said, "You wretched woman, I truly regret not having finished you off earlier."
"Did you really think I’d give you that chance? Do you think it was an accident that you found out about Lin Yue and me?" Sister Hong’s smile made everyone understand one thing, and Boss Hong felt a chill in his heart.
Sister Hong added, "I’ve been by your side for so long, how could I not understand your personality and temper? Knowing about Lin Yue and me, and having found an opponent you wanted to eliminate, you were bound to exploit it, letting Lin Yue and me face death first, then you’d conveniently deal with the enemy. Unfortunately, your calculations fell through this time; I had already teamed up with them."
Boss Hong felt an inner tremor, realizing he had been duped. His only hope now was that his subordinates would notice something wrong and come back to rescue him.
"Do you know what your biggest flaw is?" Sister Hong pointed at Boss Hong’s heart, then expressed disgust, "I know you too well. You wouldn’t miss the chance to see Lin Yue and me struggling desperately. You’d arrive to revel in your triumph and make sure we understood the consequences of betraying you."
Boss Hong forced a bitter smile, "Yes, you predicted my methods well, but I didn’t anticipate that you were already in cahoots with them and they were just putting on a show. When I showed up, their men followed your directions and targeted me."
"You were too confident, thinking staying close wouldn’t be dangerous, and that even if it was, you could escape in your car. But you didn’t consider that I designed this ambush especially for you, not letting you get away," Sister Hong said with more pride as the man beside her, after removing his beard, sunglasses, and wig, revealed his identity, making Boss Hong realize he had completely lost.
That man was the real enemy boss, who had led his subordinates to feign pursuit of Sister Hong and Lin Yue, all to wait for the moment Boss Hong would appear.
Indeed, according to Boss Hong’s plan, those chasing Sister Hong and Lin Yue were pawns, following orders without thinking capabilities, not considering capturing the king first. They wouldn’t think of dealing with Sister Hong and Lin Yue first. But with the real enemy boss among these pawns, naturally there was someone to direct them against Boss Hong, and that became his biggest miscalculation.
Worse, the enemy’s decoy boss was quite the escape artist, drawing away Boss Hong’s men and leaving none to notice that Boss Hong was in danger. Now, almost no one could save Boss Hong.
At this point, Boss Hong had no choice but to lower his head, "Sister Hong, in light of the many years I’ve looked out for you, spare me this once. How about we split my territory in half?"
Sister Hong shook her head with a slight smirk of triumph, "I know you well enough to understand that if you had the chance to escape, you’d seek revenge. You’re always arrogant and would never forget the humiliation you suffered today."
The enemy’s boss also spoke up, "You can stop trying in vain, Boss Hong. Even if we take you down, Sister Hong will still get her half. I’m not like you. I keep my promises and don’t send my loyal men to their deaths. That’s also why your men weren’t willing to die for you."
"Exactly, that’s why I could cooperate with them, because of trust." After finishing, Sister Hong glanced at the indifferent Lin Yue beside her, then suddenly had an amusing thought, "Lin Yue, you haven’t forgotten what Boss Hong did to Brother Jin, have you? I know Brother Jin was good to you. I’ll leave Boss Hong to you to deal with."
"What, I should kill Boss Hong?" Lin Yue, despite his deep hatred for Boss Hong, felt uneasy at the thought of executing the man himself.
Sister Hong handed the knife to Lin Yue and said indifferently, "You’ve been with Brother Jin for so many years, involved in your fair share of fights and killings, right? Think about what he did to Brother Jin, think about what he wanted to do to us tonight. You should be able to harden your heart, shouldn’t you?"
"I..." Lin Yue’s hand still trembled despite Sister Hong’s words. He indeed followed Brother Jin in many fights, but he was always at the rear, brandishing a weapon, shouting a few times, just for show. Brother Jin had taken great care of Lin Yue, thinking he was too young for serious wrongdoing, which was also why Lin Yue was so willing to follow Brother Jin.
Seeing Lin Yue unable to act, Sister Hong frowned displeasedly, apparently quite disappointed in him.
Seizing a glimmer of hope, Boss Hong pleaded desperately, "Lin Yue, I know I was wrong before, I was at fault, I was just confused. Spare me this once, and I’ll immediately leave this city, I promise not to appear before you again." As he spoke, Boss Hong was on the verge of clinging to Lin Yue’s legs.
By then, Boss Hong’s subordinates had realized something was amiss and rushed back, only to be blocked by a wave of fire. Seeing their boss in peril, they anxiously paced, unable to get through.
"Remember one thing, Lin Yue, you must not let the tiger return to the mountain," Sister Hong said impatiently, grabbing the knife and plunging it into Boss Hong’s chest, ending it all.
Lin Yue stared blankly at Sister Hong’s unemotional face, instantly understanding that the woman he had fallen for was capable of killing without hesitation. How much she must have gone through to be able to act so decisively.
"Let’s go, there’s still a lot to do," Sister Hong said, linking her arm with Lin Yue and lifting the corner of her mouth.
Lin Yue followed Sister Hong like a marionette, still unable to calm his mind, his thoughts still somewhat in disarray.
