This Spiritual Energy is Lethal!
Chapter 533: Infiltration Plan

Chapter 533: Chapter 533: Infiltration Plan

"Wait a minute, Chen Ke... Maybe Lucina can help us buy some time," Diana seemed to have thought of something as she looked towards the two quarreling figures.

"What do you mean by ’buy some time’? How exactly?" Chen Ke asked.

Diana slid an A4 paper across, pointing at a certain room.

"The archive is underground in the Administration Bureau. If we really make it there, it means the Administration Bureau’s special defense unit has already been activated, and our time is limited. Even if you can unlock the door and lead us to evacuate, the archive’s vault door isn’t that easy to open," Diana explained.

"What kind of vault door? Can’t you just burn through it?" Lucina asked.

"I don’t know, I’ve said before that the Administration Bureau’s defense against Spiritual Energy is very comprehensive. What if I can’t burn through the door there?" Diana explained further.

"That makes sense, but what does this have to do with Lucina?" Chen Ke inquired.

"We all have special abilities, and we’d be detected as soon as we enter the Administration Bureau’s yard, but Lucina is different, she’s a normal person and still has a chance to infiltrate..." Diana said.

"Oh... Go on," Lucina gestured with her hand.

"It’s too dangerous. What if they catch her?" Chen Ke asked.

"It’s risky, but it’s much better than us charging in together only to find that we can’t open the door," Diana said, spreading her hands.

"Once Lucina sneaks in, how is she going to open the door?" Chen Ke asked again.

"The archive is divided into three sections. The first one we’d enter would definitely be the Spiritual Power Gun Management Department, where all investigators’ guns are registered, including the one previously owned by Parker. Then you have to take the staff elevator down to the real archive, which is a huge place..." Diana flipped to another A4 paper.

On that paper was a floor plan that looked like a library, with symbols representing shelves filling the page. Chen Ke had no idea what might be on those shelves.

"The archive is as big as a football field, filled with piles of hand-written Holy Relics files. I’ve only been there twice, both times to investigate missing Spiritual Ability Pistols. I know a few colleagues in there," Diana said.

"A football field... Doesn’t the Administration Bureau use computer spreadsheets to store these things?" Chen Ke asked.

"It’s impossible to record these things on electronic devices. Computers are only used to store some simple information. The handwritten documents in the archive are absolutely confidential, detailing every action connected to each Holy Relic, the participants, the time, and the Spiritual Monsters anticipated... The Administration Bureau has long believed that the fall of the Holy Relics is tied to monsters..." Diana said.

"Sounds like playing a game, each monster consistently drops certain items... But is that really the case?" Chen Ke crossed his arms.

"It’s not our concern. What I’m about to say now is the most important part. Inside the archive, there are two elevators, one goes directly to the top floor of the CPA chairman’s office, and the other goes directly to the underground archive. The archive stores paper documents, but the vault is full of those shiny diamonds. However, I’ve never been down there," Diana said.

"After all this time, you yourself have never been in there?" Lucina interjected at this point.

"Each area of the Administration Bureau has strict initial access permissions, and I never had the permission before," Diana explained.

"But didn’t you become a Level 9 agent later?" Chen Ke asked.

"I’m sorry, I had never thought of, and had no need to go downstairs to wander around. How was I to know that one day I’d be robbing the Administration Bureau?" Diana said.

"Alright, but how do we open the vault door? You’re not suggesting Lucina sneaks in to pry it open by hand, are you?" Chen Ke shook his head.

"Of course not. I think even Superman couldn’t pry open the vault door... but it has an electronic control system, on the 12th floor of the CPA building. Specifically for this door, the CPA set up an archive management office... If Lucina can sneak in there, she has a chance to open the door," Diana said.

"Right... Understood. Sneak into the office, then open the door. Chen Ke, I think this plan could work," Lucina looked at Chen Ke.

Chen Ke kept shaking his head.

"This is the safest method," Diana said.

"But you’re asking her to face the agents in the whole building alone. She’s just a normal person and stands no chance against a Spiritual Ability User..." Chen Ke said.

"Because she’s a normal person, she won’t trigger any passive alarms when she enters the building. Of course... you can’t deny that a stranger breaking into the Administration Bureau will be recognized sooner or later..." Diana said.

Chen Ke pinched his chin, contemplating deeply. He absolutely didn’t want Lucina to take such a big risk.

"I think I can handle this," Lucina nudged Chen Ke with her elbow.

"Let me get this straight, Lucina sneaks in to help us open the door... What if it closes again?" Parker chimed in at this time.

"The main door is remotely controlled, with no manual closing and opening mechanism, completely different from a bank. And the opening process won’t be too quick... After all, that door is a bit large, and it might take a few minutes to fully roll open..." Diana explained.

"So, you’re saying after I open the door, even if they want to close it immediately..." Lucina said.

"...then we’ll also have a few minutes’ time," Parker added.

"A few minutes, to find a Holy Diamond in an entire archive..." Chen Ke shook his head.

The four fell into silence. They had been preoccupied with finding a way to open the door but had forgotten about this.

The Administration Bureau stored a large number of Holy Diamonds, and although Opportunity City was just a branch, its Holy Relics reserves were not a small number. If no one could control the door switch, it meant Chen Ke and his team would only have minutes inside.

"That’s just the worst-case scenario. If we can ensure that the door stays open, wouldn’t that solve the problem?" Lucina said.

"It’s easier said than done... No, we don’t have to just let Lucina go to open the door," Chen Ke suddenly had an idea.

"Right, first let Lucina sneak in, and when she’s in position, we’ll break into the Administration Bureau to create a disruption. At that time, she will actually have a lot of opportunities..." Diana also nodded in agreement.

"We need a complete plan. Who goes where, when to open the door, how to narrow down the search for the diamond, and then, we need to regroup," Chen Ke said.

"I can go find her. After she opens the door, you and Parker go looking for stuff in the archive. I’ll go find Lucina alone. If she hasn’t been suspected by then, I’ll create an opportunity for her to escape. If she happens to be being doted on..." Diana glanced at Lucina.

"I certainly won’t be caught and doted on that easily!" Lucina protested angrily.

"I think the idea is good. Chen Ke, perhaps this really is the best solution," Parker nodded.

Chen Ke had nothing else to say. The part about breaking into the Administration Bureau, for now, was settled.
