This Spiritual Energy is Lethal! -
Chapter 381 Iron Shelter
Chapter 381: Chapter 381 Iron Shelter
"Where can I get advanced skill manuals..." Chen Ke thought as he walked.
He gradually realized how different the abilities he possessed were; Time Stop and Future Vision, combined with his series of aggression abilities,
were enough to trap strong enemies till death.
Chen Ke’s lifespan was equivalent to his Spiritual Energy and Life Force; his trait of absorbing aggression to replenish life also allowed him to always be at full state during battles.
However, the enemies he faced seemed to be often far beyond his current range of capabilities.
Enemies who matched Chen Ke’s abilities were simply no match for him, as he could beat them to death with pure brute force exchange.
But when facing things like contract demons and Corrigan, Chen Ke couldn’t always pull out the gun in his heart to handle them; that thing was like a time black hole.
He needed sufficiently powerful Spiritual combat abilities, relying on an endless supply of aggression during battle, to cast powerful moves and finish the opponent quickly.
It was akin to fighting games, where ordinary Spiritual Ability Users read and dismantle moves, executing a sequence of basic combos and a super move to finish the enemy.
But Chen Ke was not like that.
He would start with a super move, one after another. No matter what you were doing, he would keep performing super moves until you were crushed. Whoever dared to face him head-on, had to endure Chen Ke’s ever-full ultimate move gauge.
Currently, Chen Ke only had Explosive Spiritual Energy and Crystal Gun as his moves.
Explosive Spiritual Energy wasn’t a combat skill, and its utility wasn’t very strong, while Crystal Gun didn’t count as an impressive move - its destructive power was actually limited.
These two skills were only at their current levels due to Chen Ke’s life engine enhancement; otherwise, their combat level would probably be comparable to a Level 9 agent from the Administration Bureau.
They not only possessed Holy Relics and skills but also Spiritual Guns, which were the main battle weapons.
Next was An Helei’s Ash; the ash contained An Helei’s Magic Flames, and to exert the strongest power, it had to be paired with the Flame Immunity of the An Helei’s Elegy Knight armor.
Because the material was extremely hot, aside from the releasing hand, other parts of the body would still suffer backlash. After all, Chen Ke was merely utilizing the power of the relics to cast Magic Flames; he himself was not a Flame Witch.
Chen Ke felt that unless he was alone and surrounded by enemies, he would not likely fully unleash the power of An Helei’s Magic Flames.
Suddenly producing a heat source of 3000 degrees Celsius in the air could potentially cause a vacuum explosion, with such high temperatures capable of melting steel, and nearing the melting point of another highly durable metal element called osmium.
Humans were even less to speak of.
Chen Ke certainly did not hope that with a wave of his hand, hundreds of meters of civilians would either turn to ash or suffer third-degree burns...
He needed genuinely powerful Transcendent skills, those that the superhumans of the Administration Bureau regarded as "ultimate moves", strong point-to-point attack methods, preferably with a set of Holy Relic suits that could support these abilities.
"Rookie, what are you daydreaming about?" Harlowin suddenly slapped Chen Ke, pulling him out of his thoughts.
Caught off-guard, Chen Ke then realized they had reached the gate of Warehouse No. 7.
"What were you thinking just now?" asked Harlowin.
"Does it matter?" Chen Ke retorted.
"Daydreaming during a mission is not a good habit; you might end up killing us both, rookie." Harlowin placed her hands on her hips and poked Chen Ke’s chest. Then, she added, "Hmm...quite sturdy...don’t let me down later."
"Let’s go see... see if there is a safe inside," Chen Ke suggested.
The two approached the door, maintaining the same positions, Harlowin in front, Chen Ke behind.
He tapped Harlowin’s shoulder, her hand already on the doorknob.
Future Vision!
"You better not back out this time, I’ll ask you again, do you want to go in..." Harlowin turned to look at Chen Ke, her expression somewhat puzzled.
"..."
"Rookie...why are your eyes...?"
Harlowin suddenly pulled away from Chen Ke and aimed her gun at him.
Future Vision ended!
In the blink of an eye, Chen Ke saw Harlowin turn to look at him.
"You better not back out this time, I’ll ask you again, do you want to go in, or should we check another warehouse?" Harlowin asked, looking at Chen Ke.
This woman wasted one of my Future Vision opportunities!
If Chen Ke hadn’t stopped using his ability just now, the future would have unfolded exactly as seen in the Future Vision.
In other words, what would Chen Ke’s eyes look like when using Future Vision?
"Harlowin... We probably don’t have three chances," Chen Ke sighed, his face showing helplessness.
"Oh, Rookie, you don’t seem very happy?" Harlowin smiled.
"Come on...let’s go in," Chen Ke urged.
Wasting one chance didn’t matter, if Warehouse No. 7 didn’t have it, it definitely had to be in No. 6.
Harlowin grasped the doorknob, twisted it violently, and immediately charged in.
"Hey! Wait a second, fuck!" Chen Ke hadn’t even reacted before the woman dashed straight in, and he immediately activated Future Vision!
He saw himself following Harlowin inside, and in the center of the warehouse, there was no safe on the small table.
Fourteen armed combatants appeared at less than 20 steps away, the firepower from AK47s pouring down on Harlowin, instantly turning her into a sieve.
Future Vision ended!
"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" Chen Ke cursed loudly. If Harlowin died, the space would reset again.
Then, even if Harlowin knew the random location of the safe in the next round, Chen Ke wouldn’t be able to use his Future Vision ability anymore.
He burst into the warehouse just as the fourteen armed combatants had appeared.
Harlowin aimed her gun at one of them, and before she could pull the trigger, she felt an iron hand pulling her backward.
Chen Ke summoned An Helei’s Requiem, clad himself in black knight armor; the helmet’s bent angel wings looked like the horns of a demon.
"Stay outside the door and don’t come in," Chen Ke shouted, throwing a Crystal Gun at the nearest combatant with his right hand.
7.62mm bullets rained down on Chen Ke and Harlowin, Chen Ke shielding her like a barrier.
Bullets struck the black armor, making a crisp and terrifying metallic clashing sound, but thankfully, these were ordinary bullets, and the armor withstood it all.
However, the momentum of the bullets was so fierce that Chen Ke was driven back repeatedly.
"Rookie!" Harlowin exclaimed.
"Stay outside and don’t come in," said Chen Ke, then he pushed Harlowin out the door and closed it. More than 100 guns fired at him, causing sparks to scatter all over his body.
These were emotionless and unthinking drones, who wouldn’t retreat or coordinate; they did not dodge or scream, just stood in their positions continually firing, reloading, and firing...
"They don’t even have a murderous aura; they’re nonexistent things..." Chen Ke said coldly, his right hand’s armor slowly turning red as An Helei’s Ash began to fall.
