Chapter 769: Chapter 625: This is a Game of Strategy_3

The Undead Troop mainly composed of Death Knights had emerged onto a dark, rotting grassland after passing through the Space Gate, the exact layer of The Abyss unknown. As soon as they stepped into this region, countless worm-like creatures resembling silkworms burrowed from underground, trying to climb onto the skeletal horses to feast on their flesh.

But as the Death Knights unleashed their Aura of Fear, these sharp-toothed worms convulsed and rolled on the ground.

As the aura of the Undead spread, these dangerous little worms began to die en masse.

Even though Abyss Creatures were dangerous, the Undead were no less vile; Dark Magic Power was deadly to all living beings.

The reason this area was chosen as the primary offensive target was due to the presence of these Demonic Parasites, which required ordinary Demons to use a tremendous amount of Magic Power to cleanse, making movement incredibly difficult.

However, the Undead’s Dark Magic Power was particularly effective against these creatures with weak life forces. Wherever the Death Knights’ iron hooves trod, the bodies of these silkworms lay strewn about.

"Release the reconnaissance troop, search all nearby demonic settlements, and cleanse them completely..."

With a command from Ange Watson, the bizarre Undead that had appeared alongside the Death Knights started their heavy steps, dispersing in a fan-shaped formation.

These giant Undead had peculiar appearances, with only six thick legs and upper bodies reminiscent of beehive egg sacs.

Lacking arms and mouths, they seemed merely mobile platforms of flesh, intended solely to transport these enormous beehives to the battlefield.

Once these six giant beehives had spread far enough, the legs of these enormous beings plunged deep into the ground. Every hole in the beehives opened automatically, and instantly, countless shadows flew out.

These shadows were strange flying insects the size of an average human palm, streamlined but with bulging abdomens and tiny wings that seemed unsuitable for flight.

Yet when the beehives ejected these insects, their abdomens began emitting high-speed jets, propelling them swiftly in all directions as if they were little jet planes.

This was the new type of Undead fused with miniature jet engine technology, a product of the combination of alchemy and Necromancy Spell, not cheap to produce but very effective.

Each beehive contained tens of thousands of these flying insects, amounting to over sixty thousand. The swarm released just now numbered only ten thousand, but it looked like a cloud darkening the sun, tremendously terrifying.

These flying insects moved extremely fast, capable of nearing the speed of sound, far surpassing the limits of the Flight Spell, and could fly up to 120 kilometers at their maximum.

However, the ’limit’ here implied that they wouldn’t return.

These insects were both scouts and suicidal drones, much like the former Deep Sea ragtag troops, designed to automatically lock onto living beings, charge, and then detonate. The Undead Poison was lethal even to Demons.

This time, Ange Watson was fighting a remarkably well-supplied major battle, so he didn’t need to be stingy with his forces.

All reconnaissance insects were sent out at their limits, on suicidal attacks within a 120-kilometer radius of all Demons. Once these insects died, the insect nests would sense it, marking the direction and distance of the death.

By analyzing the number and location of these insect deaths, Ange Watson could deduce the distribution of Demons within the area.

Soon, the map was marked with dozens of different locations, all places where the reconnaissance insects had died in large numbers.

Ange Watson, sneering, commanded the Death Knights to split and head to those locations, annihilating the remaining Demons.

Ange Watson had no worries about the Death Knights being defeated, for leading the charge this time was none other than the daughter of the Archduke of the Devils—Melina.

Clad in Heavy Armor, Melina led the charge. This time, unlike her usual excited shouts or summoning the Whispering Tree to uphold the Anti-Magic Barrier, she charged silently, effortlessly tearing through the Demons blocking her path.

Even without much effort, those familiar with Melina could tell that she seemed even more powerful than before.

After all, how else do they say Hell toughens one up? In just a short time, this Death Knight had transformed completely.

Amberser didn’t partake in command; he left it to the professionals. Ange Watson’s capability in leading troops far surpassed his own, and he certainly wouldn’t engage in foolish maneuvers like ordering the Death Knights to shift fifty meters.

Amberser’s eyes were fixed on that leading figure.

This was the bait he had thrown out, now just waiting for Hircine to bite.
