Chapter 768: Chapter 625: This is a Game of Strategy_2

Suppose that all the current luck and misfortune were just smokescreens released by the real Goddess of Fate, then why should one rush headlong into them?

The real key still lay within oneself, Amberser could only assume that it was the Goddess of Fate who had pulled him here, but for what purpose?

Goddess Tiamat watched Amberser’s troubled expression and felt somewhat schadenfreude. This guy actually had his moments of pain; she should have poured salt on that wound.

However, Goddess Tiamat wasn’t here to talk about faith with Amberser; she was more concerned about Amberser’s plan.

"Now Hircine has already contacted those Abyssal Demons, but he hasn’t told me how to lure you into The Abyss, and you’re not a fool, you wouldn’t go there yourself."

Amberser nodded and said, "Yes, so Hircine must want to catch something on me, something compelling I cannot reject, and then force me to go to The Abyss in person."

"Is this another bait you’re throwing out?" Goddess Tiamat asked.

"It’s not bait, it’s a wager," Amberser said very seriously. "Hircine is not a fool; he will understand my meaning. I tempt him with my vulnerability to make a move himself. He can gamble with me whether he takes the bait and gets caught, or if he consumes my bait and forces me into The Abyss."

Goddess Tiamat said, "What if he doesn’t bet? No matter what bait you throw, he can easily incite those brainless demons to take action. Hircine’s favorite lies are those that keep him out of the matter; it doesn’t make a difference to him whether they are exposed."

Amberser confidently replied, "Yes, now I even call him the sort who enjoys harming others without benefiting himself. But bait is only useful if it’s alive, right? Those crazy demons will only crush the bait, and in the end, it’ll be useless."

Goddess Tiamat looked puzzled, feeling that Amberser still had many secrets he hadn’t revealed to her. How could this plan, which seemed so rough, be based on mere possibilities, risking the most important things to himself and sending them into a dangerous place? This sounded very unreasonable.

Goddess Tiamat would’ve wagered her two dragon heads that the damned Deceiver definitely had some hidden plan up his sleeve, waiting for Hircine to blunder into it.

However, Goddess Tiamat did not pry further. As Amberser had said, she wasn’t planning to get too involved; now, she had the capital to enjoy the show. But to delve deeper would likely make her part of the bait.

Goddess Tiamat stood up, turned to leave, but finally, she reminded him, "Since you’re ready, I won’t be polite with you. Our cooperation ends here. If Hircine really finds an opportunity, I won’t hesitate to lend a hand, you understand that, right?"

"Of course, I understand because I would do the same. Dragon Mother, you should know if you can’t kill me, I will add your name back to my revenge list."

Goddess Tiamat laughed, "As if you haven’t already written it down, I’ve never believed you could forget the past. By the way, give Zariel a message, if she can’t return to Heaven Mountain, she is welcome at my place; the Dragon Race will save a spot for her."

"Already starting to undermine me? Zariel had just agreed to work for me," Amberser laughed.

Goddess Tiamat said no more and transformed into a blaze, vanishing completely.

The moment Goddess Tiamat left, Amberser’s smile also vanished.

The heavy Necromancy Codex appeared in Amberser’s hands, and as he flicked through it, a message quickly appeared in the group chat: "Friends, I’m ready on my end. Proceed with the plan."

Usually, as soon as Amberser sent a message, someone would reply instantly.

But this time, there was no response from the Necromancy Codex for a long while.

Amberser didn’t wait for a reply, closed the Necromancy Codex, and shut his eyes.

His vast form seemed to quiet down, merging with the entire grand library, and Amberser’s consciousness was now immersed in the Magic Mirror, with all attention focused on the Undead Army about to march.

Ange Watson bombarded him with demands, not at all like a worker, but more like an imposing client. Nonetheless, Amberser still satisfied his demands, even taking the time to discuss in detail with Ange Watson the optimization of different types of troops.

Amberser possessed memories from his past life. Although many things he knew only by their form but not their rationale, just a change in appearance could inspire Ange Watson. This military genius could quickly infer new ideas by analogy.

Amberser had spent a substantial cost to accelerate time and gather such an Undead Army.

As for their actual combat power, that would have to be tested in battle.

The Undead needed no military drills or political officers for morale. They would head into battle at a single command. That was the best weapon of war.

In front of Blood River Fortress, a gigantic Space Gate opened, and Ange Watson, observing through the Magic Mirror, issued orders in an orderly fashion as the vanguard composed mainly of Death Knights charged in.

Hundreds of large Magic Mirrors combined to form a comprehensive view of the battlefield, revealing every detail to Ange Watson.

On the other side of the Space Gate lay the chaotic space deep within Blood River, a strange world composed of countless space shards connected by spiderweb-like roads.

Most demons didn’t know which path led to Hell’s Blood River and simply followed the major forces, assured by their overwhelming numbers that they would eventually "overflow" and find the direction.
