Chapter 701: Chapter 600 Zariel Wants to Go Home_2

After much thought, the only option was to start with Melina.

Compared to her father, Melina was much more naive. After several encounters, Zariel had been very lenient with Melina, offering her many favors. It seemed likely that she harbored favorable feelings for them.

Melina had just made a notable contribution in the Blood War. In fact, providing her with the corresponding rewards, everything would simply be done according to the highest standard.

Whether she desired honors, power, or something else as a reward, the storeroom of Blood River Fortress was opened for her to take whatever she pleased.

As long as they could curry favor with Melina and thus influence the Lich, further cooperation discussions would be much easier.

Zariel comforted itself with optimistic daydreams of the future, unaware that Melina’s participation in the Blood River wasn’t to gain accolades.

After clearing a bunch of weak Demons on the battlefield, Melina casually ordered her subordinates to clean up. They were to only take the most valuable Demon parts, then discard the rest of the corpses.

Such actions were tantamount to squandering more than half the potential honors, but Melina didn’t care. She urged her reluctant subordinates to push forward. There was one more spot on the battlefield allocated to her by Duke Bayer that hadn’t been cleared.

Melina’s task for today was to eliminate all the Demons in that area, ensuring they would not cause disturbances.

This was actually Parurier’s plan. This Succubus of Deity status held a Spell Casting Ability much higher than Amberser’s. She aimed to investigate a tributary of the Nether River Underground, to see if she could find a way to cut it off.

The thought of severing the lifeline of the first layer of hell excited Parurier. Accompanied by her Little Demon underling, she busied herself with the task.

This madwoman, mad as she was, was capable of delivering on her promises.

Having agreed to elevate this Little Demon to a life of privilege in Melina’s territory, Parurier had indeed thrust him into the position of one of Melina’s top three lieutenants. The now power-abusing little fellow brandished his whip, ordering the laborers to move and chop corpses, constructing a Magic Array with their blood and flesh.

Parurier glanced at Melina, who had returned to the distant battlefield, and thought to herself, "Arthas’s daughter is truly nothing like that bastard; such an innocent girl. She does whatever she’s told without a hint of deceit or trickery. It’s a pity, if it weren’t for that bastard, I’d like nothing more than to devour this little girl."

Shaking her head, discarding the cunning plans in her heart, Parurier stood at the center of the nearly complete Magic Array, and began to harness her Magic Power, softly Chanting, "Cage of the guilty, cradle of sin, I, Parurier, offer the flesh of Demons to you, may Hellfire burn eternally..."

As a being recognized by the powers of Hell Law as Class God Power, Parurier’s essence was similar to that of a Deity. Her Magic Power resonated quickly with hell, causing the blood and bones on the Magic Array to dissolve.

The best offerings to a Devil are Souls, while the prime offerings to hell are the corpses of Demons. Of course, a Devil’s corpse is also valuable, especially if the death was particularly gruesome.

This indicated that hell’s will was being executed, using pain and torment to punish the sinners, maintaining balance in All Realms.

Hell and Heaven are inseparably linked; one cannot exist without the other.

As the bloody viscera was sacrificed, the Magic Array glowed, but the effect was by no means grandiose.

Parurier intentionally suppressed the Magic Array’s effects to avoid drawing unnecessary attention—better that not even Zariel or Bayer took notice.

With the demise of the flesh and blood, Parurier’s eyes grew brighter, turning from pitch-black to crimson with golden slits, resembling Melina’s eyes to some extent.

The effect was similar, though akin to a super-enhanced version.

Under its influence, Parurier’s eyes could see through all deceit, pierce every flow of Magic Power, and observe changes in spaces.

The Blood River Battlefield wasn’t just a wide river littered with corpses; it had a variety of terrains: swamps, volcanoes, jungles, and even deserts.

These bizarre regions changed over time, confusing like a labyrinth, otherwise they could not stem the infinite number of Demons.

To locate the Nether River tributary within this labyrinthine battlefield required the use of these eyes.

Regrettably, after sacrificing so many Demons, Parurier only had ten minutes.

"Ten minutes should be enough."

Parurier smirked, and in an instant, she vanished without a trace.

The next second, odd breezes started to continuously appear near the Magic Array, which had no direction; they would suddenly arise and then just as suddenly vanish, with many demons only noticing them as the sound of the wind rushed towards their faces.

But those demons with keen senses all understood that it was the Succubus from before who was moving at extremely high speeds.

She exceeded the dynamic vision and perception of all the demons; she didn’t even disturb the air except when she paused slightly, stirring up a breeze that made her presence known.

But this was only the prelude.

Some clever demons had already started to actively move away from the Magic Array, carefully backing away and then retreating farther and farther.

Some silly fools were still watching the show, thinking to themselves that such a spectacular setup of the Magic Array couldn’t possibly lack any dramatic effect.

But soon, they paid the price for their foolishness.

With a loud bang, the ground exploded, creating a huge crater and shattering nearby demons into pieces.

It wasn’t magic, nor was it any formidable Combat Skill; it was simply the result of ultra-high-speed slicing.

An invisible blade carved the space of that area into fragments, digging out deep craters while simultaneously slicing nearby demons into shreds.

There were no wails of anguish because the very instant they were sliced, they were shattered beyond all repair.

Crevices of varying sizes appeared, and even the sky filled with sounds of rupturing, which was when the audience of demons understood just how foolish they were; this was not a place to watch a spectacle but clearly an execution ground.

Swooshing sounds filled the air as a large group of demons quickly scattered, trying their best to keep away from the area.

Parurier didn’t care about the lives of these demons. She was tracking a constantly flickering spatial rift, very tiny and shifting every second.

In Parurier’s eyes, this rift was the key to reaching the "Underground."

For demons to make it to the Blood River Battlefield, there had to be an entrance. The Nether River wasn’t just a simple river; it was a massive spatial channel that connected All Realms, and this crack seemed to be one of the "entrances" scoured out by the Nether River.

The labyrinth laws of the Blood River Battlefield had enclosed these entrances, forming area after area, and layers of combat zones intertwined with each other, ensuring that the demons wouldn’t all congregate in one place and also ensuring they wouldn’t stray from the Blood River to other parts of Hell.

Therefore, no matter how the rift flickered, it would remain within this area, not venturing too far away.

What Parurier needed to do now was to catch this rift, stabilize it, and then she would be able to enter in reverse and locate the whereabouts of the "Nether River."

This was not a simple task; mortals certainly couldn’t do it.

But fortunately, Parurier was a Deity.

The frenzied woman chased after the constantly Blinking spatial crack at a terrifying speed until the area was bombed with a myriad of pits, and the ground was dug out into thousands of large craters.

Suddenly, a strange noise echoed through the air, like the grating sound of glass being scored.

Parurier reappeared, but this time she was in midair.

Her hands were dripping with blood, but her lips curled into a manic smile, for the twisting transparent object in her hand was that spatial crack.

It had been strenuous work, but ultimately she had found it.

Now, as long as she could stabilize the spatial rift and then expand it, she would be able to enter in reverse into the domain of demons, and then she could go on to seek the Nether River.

But before Parurier could take pleasure in her success, a silver-white substance started flowing out from inside the spatial crack.

Parurier looked at the silver-white liquid before her; she deeply furrowed her brows, brought it to her nose to smell, and rubbed it between her fingers. Parurier spoke with puzzlement, "This is... Mercury? No, that’s not right, it seems there is something else mixed in."
