Chapter 694: Chapter 597: The Trinity Goddess_2
Amberser disliked things that were unreasonable or, to put it in another way, he loathed anything as inexplicable and illogical as fate.
"Ha-ha, I just knew you weren’t qualified, which is why I told you. Just don’t tell anyone else, or Yeg will give me trouble." The Poet drank up his wine and then added, "I’ve heard your Magic Mirror has many users and features, but it seems to me that it lacks a function to listen to music."
Looking at the Poet’s half-smiling face, Amberser got the hint right away.
He recalled the earth-shattering singing of the Poet and initially wanted to refuse, but on second thought, he still owed him a concert. Besides, the Poet’s music often worked wonders at critical moments.
"Alright, I’ll design a music feature for you right now, and not just for you—I’ll make it free for all Bards to upload their songs and let more people hear them. Senior, how about you establish a Bard Council across planes and become the president?"
The Poet’s heart bloomed with joy upon hearing Amberser’s idea, and they immediately started discussing how to establish the Bard Council with various bylaws. Amberser was all too happy to help, and they collectively drafted most of the bylaws.
Amberser didn’t have to worry about lack of participation; no Bard would decline more listeners.
The ownership of the Magic Mirror had surpassed fifty million, a terrifying figure indeed.
Apart from gods like Ogma who governed knowledge, it was doubtful any other deity could disseminate information to tens of millions of beings at once. What Bard would refuse fifty million listeners? Any amount of fame meant both renown and benefits.
The Poet was extremely serious about this and, upon figuring out how to register the accounts, immediately cleared out all his tavern patrons, claiming they needed to recruit friends to join.
Observing the disgruntled patrons, Amberser finally found his answer to his previous doubts; these people really weren’t kidnapped here—why else would they need to be driven out? Was this godforsaken place really that popular? It was the first time Amberser realized business dealings could be beyond his understanding, leaving him shaking his head as he departed.
Whether the Grim Reaper’s attempts would succeed was yet to be seen; Amberser couldn’t put all his eggs in one basket.
The art of crafting lies and deceiving the public needed further exploration, and next was the All Nations Conference. However, with the Lord of the Dawn presiding, Amberser guessed the conference would turn from Laine’s public apology into a chance for Laine to flex his muscles, causing those restless neighbors to hold back their schemes.
With such a conference, Amberser couldn’t be bothered to participate. Under the gaze of the Lord of the Dawn, it was hard for Amberser to make any sneaky moves, so rather than attend, he decided not to go.
Amberser flipped open the brand new Necromancy Codex and posted a new message.
[Diga Ultraman: Friends, it’s Ultraman back again!]
Moments later, the chat group exploded with messages.
[Headless Knight’s Crown: Grim Reaper above! Brother, you’re back from Hell?! When did this happen?!]
[Pale Skeleton: I just knew he wasn’t easy to kill, but what really happened? I heard you stirred up a big storm in Hell.]
[Dislikes Humans: Aren’t you guys too much?! You ignored my messages before, and now you flood the chat when he’s back!]
[Headless Knight’s Crown: Stay out of this, shorty. We’re celebrating Diga brother’s return. What’s it got to do with you!]
[Dislikes Humans: Gareth, from today on, we are through!]
[Headless Knight’s Crown: Then you’ll miss out on next month’s Dragon Blood.]
[Dislikes Humans: Our falling out will last twenty-nine days!]
...
After a tumultuous chatting spree, everyone finally understood Amberser’s current situation.
Amberser had turned into the spirit of the Magic Mirror. Although this was unexpected, it wasn’t too hard for the Undead to accept, considering everyone’s body was bizarre in their own way.
After catching up with friends, Amberser was about to inquire about Aige’s deification plans when unexpectedly, Aige sent him a private message first.
[Mute: Please come to me, there’s important business to discuss, better not to tell Rose for now.]
Amberser responded with confusion: [What’s so secretive? Rose can’t be told?]
[Mute: You better come over first. It can’t be explained in a few words, but it’s extremely important.]
Amberser had never seen Aige so solemn before. It seemed that the matter they were about to discuss was far more serious than he had imagined. But what could make Aige, who was about to become a Deity, take something so seriously?
Amberser didn’t hesitate; he blinked and appeared in the deep sea.
Wherever there was a Magic Mirror, Amberser could appear immediately, even faster than teleportation.
However, the popularity of the Magic Mirror at the seabed was somewhat low. The God of Alchemy had yet to develop a seabed version resistant to high pressure and corrosion. The cost of the available Deep Sea Magic Mirrors was too high for ordinary people to afford.
But for Aige, a Lord of the ocean, such cost was trivial.
The Magic Mirror Amberser appeared at was situated inside Aige’s main vessel’s cabin. The Ghost Ship seemed unchanged, with no visible difference from its original state. However, Amberser could sense that the ship was brimming with vigorous Dark Magic Power, just like the power in the Dragon Tomb.
This was the divinized Dark Magic Power, befitting the status of Aige as the Goddess of Freedom.
Once she completed her elevation, these magic powers would transform into Aige’s Divine Power.
Amberser was not very familiar with the levels of Divine Power, but he considered the faith provided by the Koutoa Murlocs sufficient for Aige to become a Deity with Intermediate Divine Power, certainly no weaker than that lunatic Goddess.
Aige’s spirit appeared in front of Amberser, looking much the same but with an added aura of sacred nobility, clearly distinguishable from mortals.
However, upon seeing Amberser, Aige smiled.
Aige said with a smile, "It seems you really did resolve the trouble in Hell, befitting of you. Even the devils of Hell couldn’t stop you."
Although she was on the verge of deification herself, Aige still held immense respect for Amberser, knowing well that this mortal before her was greater than many Deities; all he lacked was an opportunity for deification.
"There’s no need for formalities between us. Is there some profound matter you need my advice on?" Amberser asked.
Aige nodded, acknowledging their close relationship needed no pretense, and candidly said, "Katherine came by and conveyed the thoughts of the Elven Gods."
"Wait!" exclaimed Amberser, surprised. "Katherine? Isn’t she herself also about to ascend? Why would she come to you? Are the Elven Gods targeting your position as the Goddess of Freedom?"
Amberser was genuinely surprised. Although Aige had been preparing for deification for a long time and could create her Divine Realm at the moment of ascension with protection available in an instant,
The Elven Gods were no ordinary power; who knew if Corellon’s arrow could pierce Aige in that brief moment?
Upon close conjecture, the chances of success were significantly high—that was the skill of the Elven God-King. No one doubted whether His arrows could hit; it was only a question of if He wished to shoot.
Aige shook her head and said, "Rest assured, those Elves did not come with malevolent intentions. But their suggestion was indeed unexpected, so I must hear your advice."
Amberser furrowed his brow and asked, "What exactly do those bean sprouts want to do?"
Aige explained, "The Elven Gods wish for me, Katherine, and the Lady of Mist, Laila, to integrate our Deity positions and become a trinity Goddess."
Amberser’s eyes widened at the preposterous suggestion.
A trinity Goddess meant merging three Deities together?
How did Laila come into the picture?
"Wait, why are you hesitating? Your goal is to resurrect your father. If you merge, can you still maintain your self?" Amberser asked.
Aige could only explain, "No, the so-called trinity is not an actual fusion. There has already been such a precedent among the Elven Gods. It’s a fusion of Divine Power positions only. In reality, the three of us would just share power, able to merge into a new form to wield the power of our positions in critical moments, but fundamentally, we remain independent entities without influencing each other’s thoughts."
Amberser somewhat understood; this was indeed an old Elf tradition.
But why would the Elf Tribe propose such a thing?
Amberser pondered for a long time, then asked, "Is Corellon perhaps looking to form an alliance with Sylvanas?"
