Chapter 1451: Chapter 1451: Why Do You Have Such a Big Prejudice Against Me?

After tidying up, Yang Qingyin left together with Yang Qingye.

The long-distance flight and the need to adjust to the time difference left them both feeling drained.

Yang Qingye was yawning incessantly.

If it weren’t for covering for Yang Qingyin, Yang Qingye wouldn’t have wanted to come out at all.

When parting ways, Yang Qingyin reminded Luo Ziling to wait for her call. She and Yang Qingye planned to rest fully tomorrow, to adjust to the time difference first.

Yang Qingyin brought gifts she’d purchased in America: a set of clothes and several handicrafts Luo Ziling hadn’t seen before. Seeing these meaningful gifts, Luo Ziling felt quite happy.

The next morning, Luo Ziling received a message from Ouyang Feifei, saying she wanted to discuss investing in Qingniao Media with him.

"I’m not going to the company today; I’ll be at home. Come over," Ouyang Feifei said on the phone, her voice rather gentle.

"Alright, I’ll come by," Luo Ziling agreed, as he didn’t have much going on and Ling Ruonan had gone to work.

He didn’t take a car but chose to walk to Ouyang Feifei’s villa instead.

Skipping his morning workout, he figured this walk could serve as exercise.

On the way, he stopped by a well-known snack shop to buy some steamed dumplings and a bowl of wontons.

After eating, he packed another serving, thinking Ouyang Feifei probably hadn’t had breakfast yet.

If she had already eaten, he could have the extra serving himself.

When he walked into Ouyang Feifei’s villa carrying the breakfast, she seemed quite surprised.

"You bought breakfast for me?"

"If you’ve eaten, then I’ll have it myself!"

Ouyang Feifei gave Luo Ziling a sideways glance. "So, you haven’t eaten either?"

"I have. I just didn’t want to go out of my way and get snubbed, so if you’ve eaten, I’ll eat this myself!"

"Hand it over," Ouyang Feifei reached out to Luo Ziling. "Since you bought breakfast for me, I’ll eat it even if I’ve already had some."

"Not worried about gaining weight?" Luo Ziling said, casually glancing at the well-contoured area beneath Ouyang Feifei’s slightly tight sweater.

Ouyang Feifei’s face flushed faintly, but she didn’t shy away from meeting Luo Ziling’s eyes. "You’re hoping I’ll gain weight?"

"If you got a bit fuller, every guy’s eyes would be drawn to you."

"Pervert!" Ouyang Feifei turned and went into the kitchen to fetch bowls and chopsticks, ignoring Luo Ziling.

"So, why did you call me over? What’s up?" While Ouyang Feifei grabbed tableware and prepared to eat the breakfast, Luo Ziling sat down across from her and asked with some curiosity, "Isn’t the Qingniao Media investment already settled?"

"A billion-dollar investment isn’t the kind of thing you finalize so quickly. There are still many critical details that need proper discussion." Ouyang Feifei had returned to her usual demeanor, her clear eyes calmly gazing at Luo Ziling. "I’ve already talked to your mother about some matters, but I wanted to hear your thoughts too."

"My mom’s opinion is my opinion."

"But her approach to dealing with Yuqing certainly differs from yours."

"Oh?" Luo Ziling was a little startled. "You called me over just to talk about my sister?"

"You’ve completely accepted her as your sister?"

"Of course I have," Luo Ziling smiled. "When I first met her, I already felt there was something special about interacting with her."

"Are you sure that’s familial affection, not love at first sight?"

"You’ve been reading too many novels!"

Ouyang Feifei glared at Luo Ziling hatefully and didn’t say anything else, focusing on eating her breakfast instead.

"Is your health better now?" Luo Ziling took the initiative to ask about Ouyang Feifei’s condition.

"I slept well last night, thanks to you." Ouyang Feifei paused, looked up at Luo Ziling, and continued, "After you massaged me, I felt significantly better."

"So, does that mean you want me to massage you again today?"

"Would you not be willing?"

"Massages are only effective before bed."

"Then come tonight and give me a massage!"

"Aren’t you worried about being alone with a guy late at night and something... happening?"

Ouyang Feifei’s pretty face tinted pink, but she didn’t respond to that question from Luo Ziling.

After elegantly finishing her breakfast, Ouyang Feifei added, "Let’s discuss Qingniao Media, and how you plan to arrange Luo Yuqing’s role."

Luo Ziling replied directly, "Fang Dongxun plans to let Chu Ming manage things. I want Luo Yuqing to represent me. How about you?"

Ouyang Feifei furrowed her brows lightly. "That’s too vague. Which area do you think Yuqing should be responsible for?"

"Then tell me your suggestion, and what you discussed with my mom."

"Has your mom not talked to you about this?"

"You tell me!"

"Your mom hopes I’ll appoint someone reliable to directly oversee the management of Qingniao Media," Ouyang Feifei stated without reservation, relaying Ling Ruonan’s thoughts to Luo Ziling. "She thinks sending Wang Qing to handle the matter would be suitable, but I can’t spare Wang Qing right now. Therefore, I’ve suggested taking someone from her team to oversee those management affairs first. Neither Chu Ming nor Luo Yuqing is capable of handling such a large company’s management. Don’t you agree?"

"Makes sense," Luo Ziling nodded in agreement. "Did my mom approve your suggestion?"

"She didn’t mention it to you?" Ouyang Feifei seemed a little surprised.

"She went out for a social engagement last night and returned late. She thought I was asleep and didn’t disturb me. She left early this morning, so we haven’t had a chance to discuss this."

Ouyang Feifei looked at Luo Ziling strangely, seeming to grasp Ling Ruonan’s reasoning behind not discussing it with him, but chose not to elaborate further. Instead, she bluntly asked Luo Ziling, "Who would you prefer your mom send to take charge? Wuyue or Li Jing?"

"Why mention those two specifically?"

"Aren’t those the two you’re most familiar with?"

"True," Luo Ziling nodded. "My mom also can’t spare Wuyue, so maybe Li Jing is the better option!"

"In that case, it’s up to you to propose this to your mom, and also inform Fang Dongxun and Luo Yuqing, to avoid misunderstandings." Ouyang Feifei offered her advice, then added, "I also hope that Yuqing ultimately takes responsibility. With her handling things, you all can rest assured."

Luo Ziling smiled cryptically. "So, you’re saying you’d still be uneasy?"

Ouyang Feifei didn’t deny it. "I’m not familiar with Li Jing, and her intentions aren’t clear to me. If I interact with her more, I’ll form my own evaluation."

"You lack warmth sometimes!"

"Oftentimes, I have to suppress warmth. Some decisions affect significant matters, even the fate of many people."

Luo Ziling unhappily mocked her, "You’re talking like you’re an empress!"

"Your mom feels the same way," Ouyang Feifei replied, not taking his sarcasm personally, and sighed. "Sometimes, even family ties are disregarded—let alone sentiments."

"Alright, I’ll remember your words!"

Ouyang Feifei gazed at Luo Ziling silently for a while before speaking softly, "Why do you have such deep-seated resentment toward me?"
