Chapter 723: Chapter 723: The Iceberg Female Professor’s Super Strong Student_1
As the director of the First Hospital, he had many acquaintances in the legitimate world, but even more in the underworld.
Many doctor-patient relationships required some underhanded methods to resolve.
Meanwhile, Ning Fan and Su Qingcheng followed Liu Qingye to her laboratory.
The laboratory wasn’t far from the hospital, about two or three kilometers away, inside East Sea First Medical University.
"This is my independent lab, where most of the students who follow my research work. They are all basically familiar with the situation here."
Liu Qingye led a few people into the lab, where several individuals greeted them in groups of twos and threes.
Seeing Liu Xia didn’t raise too much interest; they all knew that their professor had a sister who looked very much like her.
However, the sight of Ning Fan caused quite a few of them to show a look of surprise, as if they had seen some rare animal.
Once they entered the inner lab, they all gathered together and started to whisper.
"What’s going on?"
"I don’t know, but this is the first time I’ve seen the professor bring a man to the lab."
"Could it be that he’s the professor’s partner?"
Besides being an attending doctor at the First Hospital, Liu Qingye was also a professor at East Sea First Medical University, often giving lectures to students.
Because of this, she had a very famous nickname in the school—the Ice-Queen Professor.
She always carried a cold demeanor towards everyone.
Especially in the presence of men, she never showed a smile.
Such an ice-queen bringing a man into her lab?
"Here is all the data, ask me if there’s anything you don’t understand."
Liu Qingye, without any reservation, turned on her main data computer and showed Ning Fan all the data.
Ning Fan rubbed his temples, sat down in front of the computer, and began reviewing the data.
He had done his homework before coming, reviewing all the data provided by Chen Donglai.
After beginning his cultivation, his learning ability increased daily, now reaching an almost supernatural level.
Although he hadn’t undergone systematic study, he had forcibly learned the research related to Xu Yourong with his current learning abilities.
Now, looking at the material Liu Qingye provided, although it was a bit difficult, he could barely understand it.
Whenever he encountered something he didn’t understand, Ning Fan would ask Liu Qingye.
Liu Xia, seeing this, tactfully exited, not wanting to interrupt their discussion.
Su Qingcheng, however, had no such self-awareness and stared straight at the two, like a supervisor.
"I’m just here to supervise this woman, to see if she has any ulterior motives!" Su Qingcheng said in her heart.
The research took up the entire morning.
When Ning Fan looked up again, it was already noon.
"You actually spent the whole morning on this, the students I have would have started begging for a break after just ten minutes," Liu Qingye said, looking at Ning Fan’s previous data records with a surprised expression.
Ning Fan had reviewed a hundred experiment reports, noting down the key points.
Many details he marked, even the best students she taught, might not notice.
"I’ve pretty much gotten the gist of your experiment now, let’s go take a look this afternoon," Ning Fan said.
With his extraordinary memory and comprehension, Ning Fan had forcefully understood all of the experiments, surprising even himself.
"It seems that cultivating enhances not only my strength but other abilities as well."
He wanted to continue his research, but Liu Qingye insisted he take a break.
"You can’t keep such high intensity for so long in research; moderation is key."
A student who came to deliver materials heard this and stuck out their tongue, thinking they must have misheard.
Everyone knew their professor was a research maniac, capable of working non-stop on something of interest, at the school and the hospital alike.
To think she would actually advise someone else to take a break?
Ning Fan wanted to say he was not tired, but Liu Qingye insisted, and he relented to rest as she suggested.
Outside in the lab, only Su Qingcheng and a group of students remained.
"Where’s Liu Xia?"
Su Qingcheng got up, "She said she had some matters to deal with at the company, so she went back first. How did your research go?"
Ning Fan nodded, "It’s almost done. I have an idea about where the problem lies in her experiment. If we hurry to solve it, we can probably go back in a few days."
After the two left, a student who was on good terms with Liu Qingye approached her, curious, "Professor, is this the academic expert you invited? What is he here to help with the research? He looks so young, truly knows how to take care of himself."
Liu Qingye rarely showed a smile, "He might even be younger than you. He’s here to help me solve problems with the porphyrin agents."
"Really?"
"So he’s not just well-preserved?"
"My god, so young and already so accomplished academically, why bother studying at all."
Watching the exaggerated reactions of her students, Liu Qingye thought to herself that if she told them that Ning Fan had known nothing about the research into porphyrin agents until today, they would probably be scared to death.
