Chapter 917: Chapter 474: A Head-On Confrontation with Jalen

The Knight Marquis within the monastery forced himself to calm down and sneered coldly at Ivita. "You actually dare to venture alone deep into our kingdom, don’t even think about entering here, this is the monastery of the wife of the God of All Things, do you dare to be so presumptuous here?"

Ivita did not spare him a glance, for when a knight has forgotten how to combat his enemies with the sword in his hand, then that knight’s strength is all too feeble.

With the arrival of Ivita, the name of the Holy Mother Monastery was erased and altered by the Soul of Darkness, and suddenly, all within the monastery felt a jarring sensation in their hearts, for they had forgotten the name of the Holy Mother Monastery.

As the monastery lost its name, the statue worshiped within, that of the wife of the God of All Things, also lost its faint glow. If mortals cannot remember the name of the Holy Mother’s abode, then how can the Holy Mother protect them?

The Knight Marquis opened his mouth, wanting to invoke the name of the Holy Mother and pray for her divine power to descend upon the monastery, but as soon as he began to speak, he was horrified to find that he had forgotten the Holy Mother’s name as well.

Being both a knight and a priest, he found himself utterly unable to exercise his priestly powers in front of Ivita. His holy prayers to the Holy Mother were aborted midway and seemingly angered the wife of the God of All Things, and thereafter, he completely lost the channel to connect with the Holy Mother.

Moreover, having forgotten the Holy Mother’s name, he naturally could not pray.

The Knight Marquis glared at Ivita with fury, his Evil Qi Domain unfolding and enveloping Ivita as he drew his weapon. On the other hand, a tall, skinny witch tried to counter Ivita with magic; she produced a shriveled severed hand, and with redundant, complex, and evil spells, she invoked the curse on that hand and aimed it at Ivita.

Ivita raised an eyebrow in response.

As a high-ranked wizard, he had been able to match the most powerful Witch Marquis already, and having become a Minor God with just a hint of divine power, he was no longer someone ordinary Witch Marquises could stop.

Having created the Soul of Darkness, his strength had enhanced by untold times, and behind him was the Two Souls Three Realms that not even a regular Witch Marquis had.

Behind Ivita rose an endless void, vast and empty, which seemed to have the capacity to contain all the power in the world, absorbing every illusion of all things around it.

In the refraction of that void’s power, lines of text appeared on the surface of the skin of the Knight Marquis and the witch. Ivita read their names out loud, "Knight Ix, Witch Levinair..."

The witch’s expression changed drastically. "Knight Ix, quickly ignite the Dragon Flame within the monastery."

"We never told him our names. Yet, he knows them, which is simply inconceivable."

Ivita remained composed and, with a casual wave of his hand, turned Levinair witch’s left arm into solid stone; Ivita’s Light Soul altered the definition of her flesh and blood, and fixed this new existence with his Dark Soul.

Witch Levinair’s Light Soul automatically created a philosophically idealistic world no larger than a pathetic circle just wide enough for one person to barely stand in, which was easily breached by Ivita’s Super Light Soul and suppressed. Her Dark Soul, like a lonely and unsupported vessel under Ivita’s cosmos-like Dark Soul, plummeted straight into the void behind him.

Ivita used his Dark Soul to pin the two in place, and accessed the Magic Network to gather magic, casting a Group Paralysis Spell upon the entire monastery, immobilizing the more than a hundred guards within.

The noblewomen trapped here did not understand the current situation and therefore stood still, not daring to move, all observing the situation closely.

Ivita said to Witch Levinair and the Knight Marquis, "Both of you are considered pivotal ministers of the Alsace Kingdom, do not partake in our internal conflict, and even if you do not join my side. it doesn’t hinder you from standing aside, quietly waiting for the outcome."

"I truly do not have the heart to kill you and weaken the Alsace Kingdom."

Witch Levinair’s gaze flickered, as she had already considered surrendering. She was a witch, not an obstinate knight; did it really make a difference to her whether Ivita or Jalen reigned as the King of Alsace?

However, upon hearing this, the Knight Marquis’s eyes reddened. "You traitorous rebel, His Majesty Henry VII, the father of Prince Jalen, promoted me all the way from a lowly slave to my current status. I must repay this kindness, you will not corrupt me."

"Abandon all hope of that!"

He prided himself on his high principles, yet did not notice the strange look in Ivita’s eyes as he faced him.

The Knight Marquis began to sneer. "To the victor belong the spoils; you and your son have already been defeated, why do you return? You will never earn my allegiance..."

Before he could finish speaking, a point appeared on his forehead, from which the Death God Breath emerged, signifying utter death. In that very instant, it swept across his flesh, his soul, his Star Spirit World, and his Ether Realm existence, utterly killing him on the spot.

Ivita had but to extend his hand and touch him slightly, as a Book of Death materialized behind him.

With the creation of the Soul of Darkness, Ivita’s high-level magic automatically upgraded to a point where he only needed to know the age of his adversary; he didn’t even need to know the exact date, month, or year of birth to directly kill them.
