Chapter 918: Chapter 474: Head-to-Head Confrontation with Jalen_2
Moreover, without even using a name or any other ritual, she could cast "Death’s Finger" anytime, bringing forth pure death to the point where Ivita was pointing, summoning death upon her enemy’s forehead.
By now, the Knight Marquis had been taken away by the real death summoned by Ivita, with no chance for relief.
"I... won’t you struggle a bit more?" the Knight Marquis exclaimed in surprise, his eyes widening as he faced death, thinking Ivita was desperately seeking wisdom, but he was killed before he could finish his sentence.
In fact, he had some intentions of surrendering but merely wanted to hold out a little longer, to bargain for a better deal.
Ivita said coldly, "Since you refused me, only death can follow. If you were a steadfastly loyal servant, no persuasion from me would be useful, and if you were a person full of lies, your surrender would be worthless to me."
Ivita looked at Witch Levinair. "So what sort of person are you, Witch?"
Witch Levinair, witnessing the Knight Marquis’s death, was in a daze. She had never before seen such a powerful wizard; the Knight Marquis at her same level had just died like that.
It was terrifying.
Witch Levinair noticed that the forehead of the Knight Marquis was now empty, a force having corroded all the matter inside his skull—this was the death Ivita had summoned with a single finger, the death that devoured his life’s substance, eroding his brain and killing him forever.
Witch Levinair repeatedly said to Ivita, "I am willing to serve you."
"That traitor Jalen, it was merely some money that bribed me."
"He and I, our paths do not align."
Ivita nodded, saying, "At least you know your place."
Suddenly, a swirling sword of flames pierced through the Holy Mother Monastery, and then the monastery walls glowed with fire, as if torn by magma, with streams of Dragon Flame and magma erupting from the walls of the Holy Mother Monastery.
This power was enough to break through Ivita’s Dark Soul suppression.
Ivita watched with interest the changes inside the monastery as a flame burst through, then that same flame transformed into a young face in the sky, now filled with rage.
Through Dragon Fire Law, Jalen faced Ivita directly for the first time. "Ivita, you damned sinner, bursting into the Royal Capital, causing destruction..."
Unable to recall the name of the monastery, he said, "destroying the monastery, do you realize how many laws you’ve violated along your way?"
"The boiling Dragon Flame has awakened me, and only then did I realize you had penetrated deep into my kingdom. This is my territory, and you must obey my laws."
Even through Phase Space, Alsace’s Law Power still descended here, and upon its arrival, it countered Ivita’s Dark Soul.
Ivita raised an eyebrow, truly, Law Power at the kingdom level was formidable; it would be even more powerful at its peak.
Inside the monastery’s furnace, flames surged, accompanied by dragon-like breaths. A powerful Red Dragon appeared in this Phase Space, its first target not Ivita but the Boundary-breaking Bronze Boat enclosing the monastery, the Spatial Magic enveloping it.
Ivita manipulated the Spatial Magic, moving the entire Holy Mother Monastery to a deeper inner plane of existence as the Red Dragon damaged the Phase Space, plunging the entire monastery into the cosmic core.
The so-called cosmic core is where, even in the same spatial coordinates, due to different phases, one could be in different planes of existence at the same location, such as an outer plane or a deeper plane.
Ivita and the Dragon Fire Law contended over the Holy Mother Monastery, one side trying to bring the monastery back to the main material plane, the other trying to drag it into a deeper plane, then leave with all the noble ladies inside the monastery.
Eventually, Ivita could use these ladies as leverage to demand loyalty from the nation’s nobles.
Unlike Jalen’s manner, which bred hatred, Ivita was still the benefactor of the nobles, requiring only a bit of support from those needing help.
Jalen, clearly aware of this, had the Ancient Red Dragon, transformed through Dragon Fire Law, grasp the monastery with its claws, attempting to pull it back to reality.
Ivita watched coldly. "Lord Jalen, these guests have stayed too long at your place. Their husbands have entrusted me to bring them home, please do not obstruct."
"These women are of no use to you; you are about to be killed by me. Do you want to make them widows?"
Behind Ivita appeared both the Light Soul and the Dark Soul.
The Ancient Red Dragon was filled with unmatched fury; it gradually realized that no matter how much it tried to regain control, the monastery kept delving deeper into more profound domains. And now, there were no Marquis-level witches left within the Royal Capital who could help him.
Overcome with anger, Jalen suddenly devised a malevolent plan. "If I can’t have it, neither can you. Go to hell, all of you," he sneered.
Jalen manipulated the Ancient Red Dragon, suddenly releasing his hold on the monastery, and with lightning speed, descended above the group of noble ladies, summoning the Dragon Flame’s power, intent on killing all the nobles below with one breath of dragon fire.
If they were to be rescued by Ivita, she would gain the loyalty of nobles nationwide, Jalen thought. He might as well kill all the noblewomen in the monastery here and now and then push the blame onto Ivita. After all, no one could clarify the specifics.
Their reputations, both his and Ivita’s, would be affected, which, paradoxically, was beneficial for him.
The noblewomen were filled with terror, and the children were shaking in fear.
The terrible Dragon Breath was about to burn each of them alive.
At their most desperate moment, Ivita used the Boundary-breaking Bronze Boat magic and suddenly appeared above the noble ladies.
The Dragon Breath blasted Ivita instead.
The noblewomen were shocked; now seeing Jalen as a tyrant, they naturally missed Ivita, the legitimate King.
Now that Ivita had come to their rescue, they were even more grateful and moved.
The noblewomen cried out with concern, "Your Majesty!"
"Your Majesty, don’t shield us from the Fire of Law!"
Jalen, initially caught in a wave of elation, hadn’t expected Ivita to act so foolishly, but his expression changed the next moment.
He was the one staying in the Royal Capital of Alsace, sitting on the king’s throne, wearing the crown of King Alsace. And now, these damned women were calling Ivita "Your Majesty."
What did that make him?
They were all treacherous rebels.
All of them, treacherous rebels!
Jalen sneered, "Then all of you might as well die, go accompany Ivita, hahaha... ah..."
It was as if someone had suddenly choked him.
The Dragon Flame scattered, and behind Ivita, Two Souls Three Realms appeared. Within those realms manifested the Divine Immortal Spark, which neutralized the Fire of Law with all its might, providing Ivita with an undying strength of life.
Meanwhile, beyond the three realms, the Cloak of Destruction transformed into a destructive barrier that weakened the power of the Dragon Flame. Under these combined forces, Ivita actually managed to withstand the full force of the Dragon Fire Law.
Ivita’s hair was merely singed, otherwise completely unscathed.
Jalen exclaimed, "How is this possible!"
Ivita, however, remained silent; while fully resisting the power of Law earlier, she suddenly sensed a potent force behind the Two Souls Three Realms.
That force, like a germinating sprout about to emerge, swayed her spirit, seemingly on the cusp of understanding something, yet she ultimately failed.
She only grasped that combining the power of divine and magic, the Divine Immortal Spark coupled with the potential transforming Two Souls Three Realms, could alter the real world on a divine level, further strengthening her magic.
Ivita pointed at the monastery’s furnace, extinguished the Dragon Fire, preventing the Dragon Fire Law from tracking her, then activated the Boundary-breaking Bronze Boat, delving deeper into the inner layers of the dimensional plane with the monastery, escaping Jalen. "Mr. Jalen, we will meet again soon, so I’ll skip the pleasantries for now," she said.
Jalen wanted to pursue, but it was already too late.
Within the palace, his face as somber as the deep waters, he ordered the guards to light the beacon fires and declare martial law throughout the Royal Capital; after all, he did not know whether Ivita had truly left or not.
