Chapter 388: Chapter 239 Voodoo Zombie, Cursed Gold, and Terrible Downcasting_3

Ivita threw the Magic Whip to the Hand of Mana. Instantly, the Magic Whip extended fifty meters and whipped those five sailors.

With terror in their eyes, the five sailors stared at Ivita and the giant arm, already materializing behind him.

"You...are you trying to steal our gold? That’s a crime, you know. You’ll be hanged!!!"

"Well..."

A whip strokes down like a gust of wind. The one who had just accused Ivita of committing a crime and stealing their gold, threatening to hang him, had been whipped far away by the gigantic arm. His body became an afterimage, smashed into a house in the next instant, causing the house to eventually collapse.

The remaining four sailors were about to accuse Ivita, but each swallowed their words.

Because what they just witnessed was too horrifying.

They didn’t dare to speak out at all.

Ivita stared at them coldly. "The gold doesn’t belong to you, does it? It belongs to the pirate ship that attacked the port, am I right?"

The four sailors remained deadly silent.

They’d lost the courage to speak.

The most honest one amongst them said slowly, "Yes."

Ivita said in curiosity, "What puzzles me is how you five good-for-nothing managed to steal the gold from that ship."

As some of the four sailors tried to speak up, the most cunning one said to Ivita, "Sir, if I tell you willingly, will you set me free?"

"As long as you let me go, the other three are not my concern."

Ivita frowned. "Who says I want you guys to tell me anything? There’s absolutely no necessity for that."

"I have a much easier way to learn the truth."

"Huh?" The so-called cunning sailor was in disbelief.

"How can you know without asking...?"

Ivita turned to Vampire Wilson, and said, "Use Mental Coercion on them."

Wilson nodded to Ivita. "Yes."

Then, Wilson went in front of the four sailors, grabbed one of them by his collar, lifted him up, and stared him down. "Tell me, how did you get that bag of gold?"

In front of the horrified eyes of the other sailors, the grabbed sailor said with a vacant look, "We usually work at the port at night, unloading goods at the dock while others are sleeping."

"But two weeks ago, we found a man floating in the water at the dock. He was struggling to swim with a bag of gold in his hand, completely exhausted, and heavily injured."

"He barely made it to the shore."

"We originally intended to save the man in the water, but upon seeing the bag of gold, we had ill intentions. So, we threw the man we pulled ashore back into the water, with a large rock tied to his ankle."

Ivita was speechless after listening to the story.

So, that’s what happened.

The remaining three sailors looked at Vampire Wilson, filled with fear. They never thought that secrets and information could be obtained in such a way.

For Ivita, there was really no need for them to willingly disclose information to him.

They didn’t even have a chance to surrender.

Vampire Wilson then asked the sailor who was still held aloft by his collar, "Do you know who that man in the water was?"

The sailor replied in a daze, "We only knew that he was a pirate."

"Looking back, he must have been a pirate who stole the spoils from his own ship, but who would have thought that he was from that terrifying ghost ship."

Ivita understood.

It was quite normal for pirates to steal spoils and escape to shore.

Wilson picked another sailor and asked his story again. The answers were similar, confirming the truth of the matter.

Wilson then asked Ivita, "What should we do with these four scumbags?"

The four sailors immediately knelt on the ground, wailing and putting on a pitiful display, claiming that they had sincerely repented.

Ivita asked him with a sly smile, "What’s your take on this? What would you do?"

Wilson tentatively suggested, "Should we throw them into that black fog?"

After contemplating, Ivita said, "Excellent."

Wilson looked pleased. He was happy because Ivita showed trust and respect.

Next, he lifted one frightened sailor after another into the air, and casually threw them into the black fog. The overbearing power of death immediately corroded their bodies.

By the time they fell to the ground again, they were four white skeletons.

Upon the sailor’s death, Ivita was prepared to find the person in charge of the port. But when he picked up the bag of gold, a knight in captain’s attire, looking expressionless, came around the corner.

The knight was one of the Voodoo Zombies from the Black Friday.

As the Voodoo Zombie stumbled over, his eyes were fixed on the bag of gold.

Ivita and Wilson exchanged glances, a grim look on both their faces.

They hadn’t expected the ship’s crew of Black Friday to show up now.

The Voodoo Zombie stretched out its hand to Ivita, who was holding the bag of gold.

Ivita asked, "If I give this gold to you, will you all leave? Or can you give me something in return, to thank me for helping retrieve your lost gold?"

The Voodoo Zombie drew its sword from its waist, swung it around, and made a diagonal swipe in front of it—the clear power in the swing cleaved the bricks in half.

It couldn’t be clearer what the zombie meant.

No matter what, retrieving the gold wasn’t going to make the crew of Black Friday leave.

Ivita nodded, raised the bag of gold to the zombie, and said, "Now I understand."

"So, I can’t give you the gold."

"I am going to give the gold to the person in charge of this port. If you want the gold, please wait."

"You can ask him for it."

The Voodoo Zombie became furious, or perhaps the puppet master behind it did. The Voodoo Zombie let out a loud cry.
