Chapter 1026: Volume 33 Where to Go Chapter 14 Sparring
Miss Shatima’s hefty Dragon Spear whipped up tumbling Cold Waves, its white trail creating phantoms in the air as it followed the swift, Ghost-like figure.
"Vladimir Koff, did you learn nothing but evasion on your trip to the south?"
Shatima, furious to the point of madness, had finally awaited the return of the Black Flame Knights, and found an opponent she could vent her anger on. Yet, this cunning fellow was fighting a guerrilla battle against her. How could she not feel angered when she had always hoped to use her opponents to measure the improvement of her own Level?
"Miss Shatima, dodging is for a better counterattack. Haven’t you ever heard this saying?" Vladimir Koff’s lips curled into a faint smile. Dealing with this fierce and strange woman was truly amusing. He enjoyed her straightforward and rugged style, but that didn’t mean he had to act according to her wishes.
Vladimir Koff’s Knight Spear gently tapped the ground, and the dust that roared up emitted a piercing whistle, like countless locusts attacking the furiously pursuing Shatima, while his body deftly twisted in the air and slid to another side.
After spending one month in the Mist Flower Hills, Vladimir Koff felt he had not made much progress in both strength and memory, but he had improved significantly in reaction speed and the Flight Technique. The agile movements and lightning-fast attacks of the Elf Swordsmen forced him to adapt to their style of combat, and the slightest inattention could lead to lethal danger.
The Elf Swordsmen fully embodied the essence of swordsmanship in being fast, agile, and clever. The relentless Sword Qi, combined with explosive attack power, often left Vladimir Koff returning from fights with the Dark Elf Swordsmen wounded.
Fortunately, the Elf Swordsmen were not as strong as mortal Swordsmen. Vladimir Koff’s armor and body, specially reinforced, were barely able to endure such Attacks, but even so, he had twice faced mortal peril.
However, as Vladimir Koff gradually adapted to the Elf Swordsmen’s combat methods, they could no longer pose a substantial threat to him. Even when faced with three or five formidable Elf Swordsmen, he managed with ease. Furthermore, Vladimir Koff often used the Elves’ lack of attack power to counterattack with his own high defensive strength, leaving him responsible for the deaths of more than a dozen Elf Swordsmen.
Shatima cursed Vladimir Koff’s shamelessness loudly. The flying sand splatter, purely infused with Fighting Qi, was extremely troublesome to deal with; the force was uneven, the angles scattered, and despite Shatima pushing her Ice Dragon Force to the extreme, she still dared not ignore it.
Her Dragon Spear, thick as an arm, performed a wild shield move, and the curtain of Fighting Qi it whipped up solidified into an ice-blue energy screen in an instant due to the peak of speed and strength. The oncoming flying sand splatter collided with the energy screen, causing thunderous roars and the rebounded sand blasted in all directions, forcing the spectators to heighten their own Fighting Qi to defend themselves, lest they become collateral damage.
"Arise!"
Accompanied by Shatima’s piercing roar, three spiral-shaped conical ice mists suddenly formed, creating a triangular formation that blocked Vladimir Koff’s escape route.
At this point, Shatima decided to reveal her true identity by unleashing the unique Mana of the Ice Dragon, a cold so intense from the Ice Essence Crystal that it could instantly encase someone in ice. Even a Dark Master like Vladimir Koff wouldn’t dare to take it lightly.
Vladimir Koff’s brow furrowed slightly as his agile figure, like a swift hawk, weaved through the air. It wasn’t easy for the three conical ice mists to lock onto him, but this time, Shatima was truly enraged. The conical ice mists didn’t just whirl and sweep around; they also expanded in all directions. The Air, too, was filled with white Mist due to the rapid drop in temperature, which even affected visibility.
If it was just this expanse of ice mist, it wouldn’t have been enough to put Vladimir Koff under pressure. As Shatima’s roar echoed, the Dragon Spear already swept across with an incomparable momentum. It was evident that she had anticipated that Vladimir Koff wouldn’t dare to break through the mist’s blockade lightly and would have to confront the onslaught of Shatima’s Dragon Spear head-on.
"Vladimir Koff, let’s see where you can hide this time!"
"Miss Shatima, do you really think I’m afraid of you? What a joke!"
Vladimir Koff was also somewhat annoyed. This somewhat unreasonable woman was just too much. He had only intended to use her to test his progress from his cultivation in Mist Flower Hills. It seemed that matters wouldn’t end amicably. Without showing her a lesson, she would truly believe that he was fearful of her.
The Knight Spear, which he had been casually holding, suddenly soared up like a roaring black dragon tracing a dark trajectory in the air, colliding with the Ice Blue Spearblade that had reached its peak explosion.
"Good! That’s more like it!" Shatima couldn’t help but lightly lick her red lips with her delicate tongue. She wanted to measure just how much progress Vladimir Koff had made during his time in the Mist Flower Hills. If he had only improved his Flight Technique, it would be seriously disappointing.
"Clang!"
The clear sound of collision was accompanied by the release of two cold and dark streams of air, both with similar properties. Even the onlookers who had moved over ten meters away could still feel the rush of the Yin energy flow hitting their faces.
"Where do you think you’re going!"
"I’m not going anywhere!"
A series of clashes followed, and Shatima became more excited. The hefty Dragon Spear in her hands was like a child’s toy, with a chain of spear blossoms that spiraled and expanded with the quivering Spearblade, the Ice Blue light and shadow due to the external release of Fighting Qi power spreading into a series of dazzling circular barriers, layer upon layer, advancing as they enveloped ahead.
Vladimir Koff had long anticipated that his opponent would not easily let go of such an opportunity. Shatima was not a rational person who would let things slide when she had the upper hand. It was in her nature to push her advantage. His Knight Spear traced shadows after shadows, but his own figure was hidden among them. Clashing head-on with Shatima was undoubtedly what she wanted to see, and of course, he wouldn’t be foolish enough to act entirely according to her intentions.
Countless fan-shaped arcs created an eerie attacking surface, and his dark Fighting Qi fully burst forth with an erosive power at this moment, forcing Shatima to exert all her strength to cope with what seemed like Vladimir Koff’s desperate counterattack.
When a series of fan-shaped shadows shattered amid the thunderous sound of Shatima’s Dragon Spear Fighting Qi, Shatima realized she had been playfully outmaneuvered by Vladimir Koff once again. By then, he had already quietly slipped away to a lower position, using the ghostly cover of the fan-shaped shadows to prepare for Shatima’s second wave of furious attacks. (To be continued.
