The Vampire King's Possession -
Chapter 287. Another Lesson
Chapter 287: 287. Another Lesson
"Are you sure about that?" Jael asked in her ear. "I am absolutely comfortable with an audience but I don’t think you are." As he spoke, he wrapped his palms across her chest, cupping her bosom.
Mauve’s eyes widened as the door slowly opened, she tried to get out of his legs but he held her still, his hands pressing her against his body. His lips rested on her neck and his fangs lightly touched her skin.
"Jael," she cried and tried hard to pull away but he wouldn’t let go of her.
Yasmin walked in and turned around to close the door. She approached the bed with her head slowly rising to look at Mauve.
"I wasn’t sure if we needed more yarn so I wanted to confirm with..." As soon as her eyes rested on Mauve, the words died in her throat and she became rooted to the spot. A look of horror on her passed across her face, nevertheless, she recovered quickly and bent her head forward.
"I apologize, Sire. I didn’t know you were here, I will leave immediately." She turned on her heel, looking ready to fly out of the room.
"No, wait. I was just about to leave,’" he replied.
Yasmin stopped but she did not turn around. "I can come back, Your Grace," she said without turning around. It was obvious that Jael’s order was the only reason wasn’t bolting out the door.
"No, stay."
"Yes, Sire." Yasmin immediately responded, her tone sounded frantic. Her body was stiff as her hands were placed unmoving by her side.
Even though Jael said he was about to leave, he did not attempt to rise from the bed and his hand remained where they were and his lips teased her neck. Mauve knew she was red by the way her face was burning up, all her blood was in her face.
He slowly took a palm away from her chest and made to put his hand down the front of her dress.
"Jael," Mauve cried again, grabbing his hand.
"Tch," he said and reluctantly pulled his hands away. He then stood up from the bed, "I guess I will leave you, ladies, to it."
Mauve nodded and lifted her head to look at his face. His black hair was in disarray and his blue eyes shone slightly.
She didn’t understand why he enjoyed teasing her; however, she would be lying if she said she wasn’t disappointed that he had to leave but she also did not want to keep him here.
"I will come to get you when it is time for the second meal," he said.
"Okay, I will wait for you." She mumbled.
He smirked and bent his frame, lifting her chin, he gave her a loud kiss that caused Yasmin to turn around. She immediately turned back around without making a sound.
Mauve kept her gaze down as he broke the kiss, for some reason it was a little hard to look him in the eye. He moved his lips to her ears and whispered, "We will continue this later."
Mauve nodded, at this point, she wanted him out of the room before he embarrassed her further and she feared that if she fought, it would only end up dragging out and she wanted him out of here.
"I am glad we are on the same page," he said and pulled away from her.
He headed for the door passing by Yasmin who was standing as still as a tree. "I expect to see some results soon," he called to her and with that, he was gone.
Mauve heard Yasmin expel a breath, it echoed in the room. She turned around and Mauve flinched a little and looked down.
"The next time the Primus is with you, please tell me to wait," Yasmin said sternly, stomping toward her.
Mauve looked at her face, the vampire looked somewhere between pissed and troubled. "I am sorry for putting you through that," she said, not knowing how to apologize.
Yasmin did not reply to this, instead, she said, "Let me see what you have done since the last time I was here."
Mauve nodded and rushed to her feet, she skipped to the drawer attached to her dresser and pulled out the first one. She pulled out the ball of yarn and the needle attached to it. With a glum look on her face, she turned around and handed it to Yasmin.
The vampire tried to put up a blank expression but Mauve could clearly see her failing. Yasmin studied the progress of the knit job attached to this. She spun it around, trying to make sense of what she was looking at.
Mauve saw her give up and the question followed, "What is this?"
"A scarf," Mauve replied dejectedly.
"Ah," she said and stared at it again but Mauve could tell she didn’t see a scarf. It didn’t look like anything remotely close. It looked more like a tangled mess than anything else.
"I will go get some more yarn then, I doubt we can use this again." She said and handed it back to Mauve.
"I can loosen it," she offered, accepting it readily.
"Good, do that while I try to get more wool so I can show you on my end," Yasmin said.
Mauve nodded and stared at her work. She was glad Yasmin didn’t sound snappish but the vampire looked like she would rather be elsewhere.
"Okay, thank you for your help," Mauve said timidly.
"Hopefully, you’ll get it right."
Mauve nodded immediately understanding, she wanted to pick up as soon as possible. These were the most words Yasmin had spoken to her in such a short time and it was because of Jael.
She didn’t want to put Yasmin in this situation again so she’d make sure she got it right this time. Hopefully, she could get it done on time to give it to Jael. He was the only reason she was trying hard at this, well, aside from boredom.
