Chapter 366: Their Naughty Baby

With the baby starting to take much of their attention, Nathan asked his Aunt Sanya, Aspen’s mother, to assist Raine with their baby while the latter was recovering for the first month after childbirth. But as soon as Raine had fully recovered, she quickly became a very hands-on mother to Aire.

Of course, being a first-time mother was far from an easy task. Still, she took it very seriously and even studied up on the subject just to make sure she was doing it properly.

Raine was currently nursing Aire that night when Nathan arrived home from work. He had come home late due to some hiccups that their group was experiencing, and Nathan looked surprised to see that she was still awake.

"You’re still up?" Nathan murmured in surprise as he walked towards her, giving her a loving kiss before then kissing Aire who was still feeding on her. "How could you tempt me like this..."

Raine simply chuckled as her dear husband stared at at their daughter. Aire was eagerly latching onto one of her nipples, and it would seem that he was getting a few ideas just looking at her.

"Stop ogling!" Raine teased. "How can you even act that envious of your own daughter?"

"Can you blame me?" Nathan chuckled. "I can’t wait to latch my mouth onto you too..."

Raine blushed as she felt feel the burning desire for her coming off of her husband.

"Then again, I guess I have to give way for my little Princess to grow healthy and strong," Nathan grinned as he started removing his shirt. "She’s the baby here, after all."

Seeing Raine yawn, he offered, "I’ll go ahead and clean up. Let me put her to bed while you rest."

Raine sluggishly nodded. Right, she needed more rest since Aire could be a handful at times, especially during the night when she would often stay awake and cry more often than not.

Raine was done feeding Aire when Nathan grabbed their baby from her hands and cradled her in his arms. Sitting on the couch, he played with Aire while his wife went on to get ready for some much needed rest.

"How are you today, baby Aire?" Nathan cooed with a grin at his daughter. "Did you have a lot of fun with Mommy? Or did you just sleep all day so that you’ll have lots of energy later to not let Mommy sleep again?"

Still smiling, Raine watched the father and daughter pair for some time before she felt her lids become too heavy for her to ignore. Another yawn came to her, and she instantly crawled up on their bed to get what was hopefully a nap that was longer than three hours.

Seeing his wife get some rest, Nathan took one last look at Raine before then turning to Aire. Silently, he murmured, "Mommy’s sleeping now, so let’s behave, okay? No crying in Daddy’s watch... Okay, Aire?"

Aire simply cooed at him, and Nathan smiled as he nodded at the best answer he was going to get out of his daughter.

He stared at her adorable daughter Aire and couldn’t help but smiled lovingly. His wife and daughter were his stress reliever as always. He was honestly tired from work today but seeing his wife and daughter as he reached home like this simply energized him more than anything.

Indeed, time passed by so quickly, and things were still going smoothly throughout their lives. Yes, he still had some problems with the family’s legal businesses, but it wasn’t really something that he couldn’t handle easily.

No, what concerned him the most was the current state of the Moonlight Squad.

Sure, Raine’s twin, Mara, was doing a great job on behalf of her sister in managing the squad, but it was still a far cry from how Raine would usually handle things on a normal day. Then again, Raine did say that they needed to give Mara some time to get a hang of it before she got better at the job.

Still on babysitting duty, Nathan frowned when baby Aire returned his expression to him. His eyes widened, realizing exactly what that expression meant.

"Oh no, Aire... Why now? Seriously?"

Nathan murmured to himself as he quickly put Aire back in her crib and checked on her diaper. Just as he thought, her little Princess had soiled herself. Of course, she then frowned some more, signaling the beginning of something that he really didn’t want to happen.

"Oh no..."

On cue, Aire’s loud cries resonated within the room. Moving quickly, Nathan did his best clean both his daughter and her dirty diapers, hoping that Aire would calm down and stop crying as soon as he was done. Raine had just begun sleeping, and he really didn’t want his wife to wake up just yet.

"Shhhh... Hush now, my dear. Daddy’s cleaning you up now, see?" Nathan cooed with an awkward smile. "Keep your voice down, okay? Hushhhh... We don’t want Mommy waking up."

Hoping that he had done enough, Nathan let out a sigh of relief as he finished cleaning her from her poop. Unfortunately, he was just about to put on another clean diaper for baby Aire when she suddenly peed herself.

Almost immediately, Nathan cursed his stupidity for forgetting to put on the flat absorbent diaper immediately as soon as he was finished cleaning her up. As a result, Aire’s bed ended up getting wet.

As expected, Aire’s loud cries once more echoed across the room.

"What happened?" Raine asked with a yawn.

"She peed on the bed," Nathan murmured, feeling helpless at the fact that he couldn’t handle such a trivial matter quietly.

"Is that so?" Raine asked with a smile. "Oh, come here, baby Aire... Did Daddy not clean you well enough? Or was he just too slow in making you feel comfortable?"

Carrying Aire to their bed, Raine went ahead to clean and put on a diaper and some baby clothes for her daughter.

"Darling, please clean out Aire’s crib and replace the sheets with new ones," Raine instructed.

Nathan quickly followed her instructions, quietly watching Raine put Aire to sleep as soon as he was finished. As soon as Aire was put to sleep, Nathan then prepared some hot chocolate for Raine along with some snacks, knowing full well that it would probably take some time before his wife became sleepy again.

"Thanks," Raine gratefully nodded.

Smiling, Nathan simply gave his wife a hug before then pulling her outside onto the balcony. With the weather cooperating with them for once, it was a nice time for them to look upon the beautiful stars in the skies.

Getting themselves situated, Nathan pulled out a blanket for the two of them as they sat on the nearest couch. Meanwhile, Raine sipped on her hot chocolate as she comfortably leaned against his shoulder, the two of them looking up at the sky as they relished each other’s presence.

"Carlos has invited us for dinner tomorrow," Nathan informed her.

"Hmm... I guess he can finally enjoy his much-anticipated retirement now that Gavin is back..." Raine hummed in amusement.

"Indeed... Ah, this feels nice," Nathan murmured as he turned to kiss Raine’s head. "Still, how long do I need to wait?"

"Hmm, maybe a month more will do, darling," Raine naughtily chuckled. "But if you want, I can give you pleasure using other means..."

"Why do I feel like I’ll only end up suffering if I say yes?" Nathan humorously chuckled.

"What are you saying?" Raine seductively asked, moving herself closer so that she could kiss him. "Come now. Let’s go back inside so that I can give you the full service."

It was the least she could do, after all. Her husband had been very considerate of her, behaving himself knowing just how tired she was more often than not due to her taking good care of their baby Aire. Knowing that she should reward him tonight for being such a wonderful husband. Hopefully, they’d be finished before their naughty baby woke up and started crying again.
