Chapter 363: His Undying Love for Her

The weekend came, and Nathan and Raine, together with the other Moonlight Squad members, suddenly received an invitation from Lyne for a small gathering inside Boris’s Silver Crescent Moon Territory.

"Are they all ready?" Raine asked Nathan as she put her hair up in a bun.

"Take your time my sweet vixen," Nathan lovingly chuckled. "We can let them all wait..."

Raine shook her head at how her husband had already mastered all kinds of flowery words to use on her. Fixing herself, she stood up and did one last twirl before she asked, "How do I look?"

"Perfect," Nathan whispered in her ear as he hugged her from behind.

Raine couldn’t help but laugh when she cuddled up into Nathan’s embrace, amusedly noting the fact that he could no longer clasp his hands together over her swollen belly.

"We should be going!" she suddenly burst out as soon as she felt Nathan’s growing emotions through their bond. Oh, heck, if he pulled her with into their bed this instant, then the people waiting downstairs would’ve ended up waiting for them for just a little bit longer.

She could hear Nathan’s amused chuckle as she quickly pulled herself out of his embrace, dragging him downstairs that instant.

Raine smiled as she saw her friends and squadmate waiting for them. "Let’s go, guys!" she said to her group as soon as she saw them.

Moving as one, Mara and Lark were also with them as they all went inside the one van together with the rest of their inner circle. Mia and Levi were with them, of course, while Dan along with the rest of their squad members went to ride on the other vans behind them in convoy.

"I’m excited," Mia chortled. "How come Lyne isn’t saying anything about the reason for this sudden dinner party is?"

"She’s probably pregnant," Raine casually grinned.

Mia excitedly gasped. "Oh gosh, if that’s truly the case, then I can’t wait to confirm it!"

Raine shook her head as Mia kept on talking inside their rover. She was glad that they could now enter the Convel Society Territory without so much as worrying about any sort of attempts on their lives.

Ever since Sasha and her father Lucio faced their demise once Aspen decided to open a case against them, life has been quiet at this end of their lives. With the help of the evidence her squad gathered, all of those loose ends were neatly tied up.

Well, it was honestly Nathan’s request to Aspen. Her protective husband simply couldn’t take any risks that could possibly bring harm to her and their family in the future. Likewise, Aspen also agreed to file the case since the latter was truly a just ruler, one who wouldn’t blink an eye if he ever saw injustice and corruption being perpetrating by any member of their society.

"This will be your first time entering the Convel Society, right?" Raine reassuringly asked. "Don’t worry, they’re good werewolves like Decan, Aspen, and Boris..."

Mara simply nodded with a smile. Her twin already knew about Aspen, Decan, and Boris. After all, those three were the ones who helped Raine out in giving Mara her test involving rogue werewolves.

Soon enough, they arrived at their location. Walking inside, it was indeed a big party with the number of attendees being more than enough to fill the area. Making their way deeper into the compound, Lyne immediately greeted them and assisted them to their respective seats.

They talked a bit, and the twins tried their best not to tease Lyne and spoil the event. The two of them already knew what was the cause of this big event... It was too obvious, what with the glow Lyne was sporting along with her sudden weight gain.

"Boss... I feel pressured..." Mia awkwardly whispered once they’re on their table.

Raine chuckled and teasingly said, "I already approved your request for a vacation with Levi, so take that time to create something wonderful."

Before the party, Levi and Mia had already requested a two-week vacation. Of course, Raine approved it since Wena was already doing a great job in taking over Mia’s work. Dan too was already superbly leading her Moonlight Squad in Levi’s absence. The two definitely needed this vacation. They deserved it, and Raine even suggested that they make it longer...

Mia blushed hard at the innuendo. Soon, their table was filled with teasing and banter as they waited for the events to proceed. Soon enough, they got interrupted when Boris and Lyne went to the makeshift stage to speak.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we asked for your presence here so that all of you can celebrate with us this wonderful news that we recently received," Boris proudly announced. "Lyne and I are having a baby!"

Immediately, the guests erupted into cheers. Raine and the rest of her group quickly stood up from their chairs to congratulate Lyne and Boris for the wonderful news.

Before long dinner was served, and Raine truly enjoyed the dishes her friends had prepared for them. There were even live bands playing in the background that sang lively music, urging some of the attendees to dance on the open floor.

When the music turned into a serenade, Nathan looked at Raine and asked, "Would you like to dance with me, my sweet vixen?"

Raine had a pout and mumbled, "How can we dance with my baby bump being this big?"

Ignoring her sulking, Nathan pulled her in with him to the dance floor, where he led her to turn and twirl along with the music until he could hug her from behind.

"We can dance like this," Nathan whispered as he brushed his cheek against the side of Raine’s head, slowly swaying to the music’s beat.

Raine smiled as she enjoyed the warm embrace of her husband. Nathan never failed to make her fall in love with him over and over again. Even with the smallest gestures he did towards her, she could feel his undying love for her.

After a bit of shuffling on their feet, Raine felt tired, so Nathan walked her right back to their seats. The evening had been fun, and she couldn’t help but eat more sweets since all the desserts offered to them were delicious.

"Please watch your sugar intake, Daughter..." Lark suddenly reminded.

Raine rolled her eyes at the reminder. Her Father would like for her to watch out for all the do’s and dont;s for pregnant women, acting as if she already didn’t know what to do. Looking at Nathan, she scoffed as he looked so pleased with his father-in-law’s scolding.

’These two...’ Raine inwardly scoffed as she stopped her eating.

"Father, you’re doing great on being a good father!" Nathan praised her father, giving him a thumbs up.

With a pout, Raine scoffed, "I want to go to the restroom."

Nathan chuckled as he quickly stood up from his seat and grabbed her hand. "Hmm, Father is just worried about you. The Doctor told you to lessen your eating, remember?" he reminded as he led her inside the part of the venue going to the restroom.

Raine was about to throw a tantrum when they heard a boy sobbing around the corner... Giving each other a nod, the two of them made their way towards the direction of the voice. Rounding a corner near the restroom, they saw a boy slumped onto the ground, hugging his bended knees.

"Regan?" Nathan called out.

Raine blinked in worry. She also recognized the ten year old boy who was Decan’s son.
