Chapter 340: Boss’s Beloved Pet
After all was said and done, Mia and Levi signed the dotted line, and the state officially recognized them as husband and wife without any fanfare in front of a judge. Smiling wickedly, Mia chuckled as Levi drove them both back to the Moon Clan Territory.
"What’s so funny?" Levi asked her.
"Nothing," she brightly smiled. "Just thinking about how great their faces would look once they realize we’re married already."
It took a bit of convincing, but Mia somehow managed to rope her newly-wedded husband into her scheme of hiding their whirlwind marriage. The best part was that they wouldn’t even try and hide it. They’ll both wear their wedding rings in broad daylight, and it would be up to their friends to recognize the symbolism regarding the massive rock sitting over her finger.
"Yeah... And the fact that we’re actually married comes second to that?" Levi chuckled.
"Of course not," Mia denied. "The fact that we’re married now is the best thing that ever happened to me in my life!"
And wasn’t that the truth? Even now, her cheeks were starting to hurt with how long she had been smiling ever since Levi proposed to her. It was one of her dreams come true, after all. Sure, the birth of her inevitable child might supplant this moment as the best thing that happened to her life, but right now, she just wanted to bask in the glory of the present.
Although, speaking of birthing her inevitable child...
"Say, once we get back, can we fvck?"
Almost instantly, the car lurched to a stop. Mia almost yelped as she felt the seat belt dig into her skin, Levi’s response almost making her regret what she just said. To her surprise, the car then continued to move forward, their current location making it impossible to truly stop. Though looking at the road, it almost looked like they were swaying back and forth like drunk drivers.
"M-Mia, d-did you seriously just tell that to me like that?!" Levi incredulously asked, though his cheeks were practically glowing with how red they were. "T-That’s-"
"The road, Levi!"
Practically screaming, Mia watched in fear as Levi frantically corrected their course. Her new husband was screaming with her, his grip on the wheel almost looking like it was about to come off with how tightly he was grabbing onto it.
"What’re you doing?!" Mia yelled out, nervously laughing as a sense of thrill began building up within her. "Are you-"
"Shut up and let me concentrate!"
Promptly shutting her mouth, Mia held her breath as Levi corrected their course. Inevitably, they were back on the straight and narrow, their breaths coming out as pants as they held onto each other’s hands after the fact.
"That was... That was something," Mia whispered, a mad grin spreading across her face.
"Y-Yeah..." Levi breathed out. "I hope nobody reports us for that..."
A silence of relief settled between the two of them after that. They both unanimously decided that keeping quiet would be safer for both of their sakes. Mia’s earlier question still lingered, however, and even the one who forwarded the question was regretting how crass her words were.
Seriously, she was only thankful that the conversation had been utterly derailed like that.
Arriving back home, the two of them quickly made their way back to the control room. The silence between them was heavy, but it was one filled with a good kind of tension as Mia awkwardly stared at her husband.
"So... Uhm..." she whispered out, hesitation uncharacteristically gripping her heart. "About that question..."
"Yes," Levi turned to stare at her. "The answer is yes."
"W-What?"
Before she knew it, Mia was already being pinned down, Levi hovering on top of him as his loving gaze almost made her melt beneath him.
"Did you really expect me to not say yes there?" he asked, his voice oozing with desire for her. "This is it... We’re married. And you did say that you didn’t like wasting time."
Mia blinked, bits of her courage coming back to her as she was reminded of her own words. "So now you want us to move quickly?" she teased.
"No," Levi shook his head. "I want us to take this nice and slow. We know that we both love each other, and we want us to take this chance to truly get to know each other."
Beneath him, Mia flushed red, his words ringing in her ears as she stammered, "S-Sure? I guess we can do that..."
"Mia..." he whispered into her ear. "Not everything needs to be rushed..."
At that, she practically felt herself melting as she felt the undying love oozing off of her husband. His hands roamed lovingly across her body, his hands slipping right underneath her clothes as they occupied the couch.
"O-Okay..."
Nodding, Mia closed her eyes as she pursed her lips. Almost instantly, Levi kissed her deeply, occupying her empty lips and making electricity shoot up her body. They both melted into each other’s embrace, both of them breathing deeply as they relished each other’s presence.
"Mia..." Levi breathed out, his lips lingering on hers as he kept uttering his beloved’s name. "Mia..."
"Levi..." she whispered out, her hot breaths mixing with his own. "I love you so much..."
Mia reciprocated his love, placing her hands on the side of his face as she fought desperately to try and match his intensity. All the emotions... All the tension within them... It just kept growing and growing, and the burning need to show them to her beloved was starting to overwhelm her.
"C-Can you... Can we..."
"What is it, Mia?"
She did her best to summon her courage. "C-Can you... Please make-"
*WOOF!*
The two of them froze, the presence of the ever-present wolf once more making himself known as it stood right in front of them. Draki was staring at them both, the wolf almost smiling as it clearly waited for something to happen.
"D-Draki..." Mia chuckled, the mood in the room rapidly diffusing into the air as she sighed. "When did you get here?"
"Err... We did kind of leave him here when we went out," Levi sighed. "I suppose he’s just looking for attention?"
Shaking her head, Mia kicked down the building tension in her loins as she sat up and gave the wolf a loving pat. With a smile, she said, "I’m sorry for locking you in here then, Draki."
The wolf wagged its tail, and the two shared a laugh at what almost happened between them. While they had been interrupted, it wasn’t like they were being urgent with their love.
They had all the time in the world. For now, they would relish in each other’s presence along with their Boss’s beloved pet.
