Chapter 203: Randall
Chapter 203: Randall
Mia was trembling as she monitored the barrier installed around the whole territory of the Convel Society. She was inside Control Room One of the Moon Clan’s underground facility with the rest of the Clan members that she personally chose to assist her in the situation.
"Dammit, Levi. Drive faster! All of you! The barrier won’t hold for long, and they’re actually keeping up with you guys!" Mia anxiously reminded, her body shaking in cold sweats. She was trying her best to keep her cool and not burst into tears.
"We’re trying, Mia. Please make sure it can hold till we reach the safe zone," Levi responded with a worried tone. "How about the Boss and Lyne? Did you reach them? Are they at the back? I still can’t contact those two, Mia." It was nerve-wracking. The last contact he had with the Boss was back when they were pulling out.
All of them felt so disheartened. No one could even think straight from how the situation spiraled out of control. None of them had lost their lives and it was a miracle, but most of them had been injured, with Dylan already quarantining the casualties to the other van. They would be escorted to the safe facility that the Boss prepared for them should such things happen. It was a facility that would keep them safe and train them should they become infected and turn into a mutant along the process. The Boss didn’t want to eradicate any of her Moonlight Squad members if they ever turned to mutants. She wanted all of them to be safe.
Mia bit her lower lip and murmured, "She and Lyne... together with Boris... They’re still inside, Levi."
"What?!" Levi and the others still active in the other line burst out in disbelief.
"She purposely cut off her line and destroyed it. Lyne and Boris also did the same, Levi, so I can only assume that they’re still inside the Convel Society compound. They did it so that you and the rest won’t be traced while escaping," Mia dishearteningly relayed. She then bit her lip and added, "The Boss left a letter to me and told me to read it to everyone in case something like this ever happens. I didn’t dare to peek because I insisted that nothing would go wrong, that I won’t have to read her letter since you all, with her, will definitely come back..."
"This is too much... We should get back in there! Who cares if we all die?! She’s our Princess!" Levi barked out, tears starting to roll down his eyes as he stopped the car along with Dylan and the rest.
"Standby teams can return, but we’ll need more ammunition," Dylan reminded.
"No, why would we return? We’ll come with you," the head of Moon Clan fighters declared as he instructed his men to distribute the ammunition to the Moonlight Squad members behind them.
"Mia, we’re coming back, and we need a clear visual. We need drones inside. Ask the base for more men to deploy along with more weapons..." Levi instructed.
The door suddenly swung open inside the control room.
"All men! Come back to the headquarters this instant!" the powerful voice roared.
Mia’s face paled, Levi and the rest gasping as they heard the voice from the other line.
"King Marcus," Mia murmured in terror.
The man walked inside the control room with a grim expression, Dr. Janus walking behind him as he ordered, "Dylan, lead the men back to the headquarters right now!"
"But, the Princess..." Dylan gasped.
"They won’t dare lay a hand on my daughter if they’re smart enough, so come back this instant," Marcus bellowed with a dim expression. "This attack you did was a careless move!!! We will get my daughter back after careful planning!" He then looked at Mia and said, "Connect me to Randall!"
Mia gulped... Randall was the King’s right-hand man, and none had known his whereabouts ever since the King fell into a coma. Even Princess Raine didn’t bother to look for Randall, saying that they should simply let the man off and enjoy a vacation since he deserved it. He was a terrifying man that no one should dare mess with.
"Welcome back, King Marcus," Randall greeted from the other line, his voice heard by everyone since he was on speaker.
"Status?"
"They’re already in my custody; Decan’s daughter and Lucio’s son..." Randall reported.
"Send word to those monsters that if they dare lay a finger on my daughter and her men, then they should expect me not to show mercy on these precious heirs of them!"

At the Convel Society Territory
Inside the King’s Hall, Lucio, one of the lucky Elders not present during the meeting where the battle happened, shook his head as he looked around.
"What a total mess..." he growled as he looked at how damaged the hall had become.
Everyone hurt in the battle was immediately rushed to the infirmary. Four Elders were injured, and three had already died while three alphas and a few betas lost their lives. And what’s worse, those bastards managed to all get out alive because the Bloody-Eyed Hunter held his daughter, Sasha, hostage.
He balled his fists as he growled in annoyance. One of his men rushed to him and informed, "Elder Lucio... The King asked for a meeting."
"The King?" he scoffed menacingly. "Where was he when all this happened?!" he grunted.
"The King was outside at the time, Elder Lucio and the committee was still holding a meeting by the King’s order with Elder Decan leading along with Alpha Aspen, also by the King’s order..." His men reported.
"Where are those bastards now?" Lucio snarled, referring to the three that they captured; Boris, and the two humans.
"The King’s men have them detained at the Blue Moon Pack residence. He also sent some of our doctors to tend to their wounds..."
There was another displeased scoff from the old man before he walked and rushed to the King’s study, only to get interrupted as Decan approached him with a pale face.
"Have you seen this?" Decan asked as he weakly showed Lucio the video.
The old man’s face turned white as he whispered, "Cole... No..."
"He’s awake... Marcus," Decan ground out with a grunt.
