Chapter 89: Searching For Intelligent Life

With that, I bolted into a full sprint, pushing myself to the maximum speed, eager to explore this entire planet as fast as I could.

...

...

A few months later...

Regrettably, this massive planet, which I believed to be multiple times larger than Earth, lay barren; there was no trace of intelligent life or civilization here—only a world teeming with prehistoric monsters or animals.

ROAAARRR!!!

Out of nowhere, a gigantic black ape the size of King Kong appeared and lunged at me.

PUNCH!

"Oh, shut the fuck up!" I yelled.

One punch was all it took to send the massive 50-foot Giant Gorilla flying away. It crashed through tree after tree, tumbling for several hundred meters before finally slamming into the ground and dying on the spot.

Ding!

[You have slain a Colossal Black Gorilla!]

Just as I thought it was over, out of nowhere, another massive monster appeared. This time, it was an enormous 35-foot Red Spider Queen.

HISSSS!!!

"Ugh, seriously, I’m not in the mood for this! So do me a favor and just die!" I yelled. Once again, a single punch was all it took to send the Gigantic Red Spider Queen flying. It crashed through tree after tree, tumbling for several hundred meters before finally coming to a stop and collapsing to the ground, where it eventually died.

BOOOMMM!!!

Jeez, that was quite annoying... Welp, I guess that’ll do it for now. Hopefully, the other monsters nearby—after witnessing my power—will fear me and stop bothering me for a while.

Anyway, it’s really unfortunate that this planet has no intelligent life or civilization. Nevertheless, I shouldn’t give up hope just yet—there are still plenty more planets left to explore within this solar system. Until then, let’s stay positive and continue to explore.

With that said, before leaving this planet, I figured I might as well enjoy one last big hearty meal first. After all, I wouldn’t know when I’d get the chance to eat again, especially before heading off on my next long journey to another planet.

Alright, let’s eat seafood today. Just thinking about it already had me drooling. I couldn’t help but get hungry at the thought of chowing down on some fresh seafood. Plus, the monsters in this world are gigantic—just one colossal lobster alone would be enough to keep me fed for days.

Ah, I can’t wait! Let’s eat!

Without delay, I set to work collecting wood for a giant campfire. Today’s plan was simple: feast on a colossal lobster from the sea, which would require a fire big enough to match. Once I had gathered enough wood, I ignited the fire, its flames crackling to life.

Alright, done! Now it’s time to catch the giant lobster.

Living near the beach area made accessing fresh seafood remarkably easy. Wasting no time, I dove into the sea, determined to catch a colossal lobster. It didn’t take long to spot one lurking on the ocean floor. With a swift grab, I captured my prize and quickly swam back up to the water surface, bringing my prized catch ashore.

Just like that, I began the cooking process by boiling the Colossal Lobster in a large stone pot. With my current strength, I’m more than capable of turning any massive rock into a cube, like the ones in Minecraft. So, if I could turn a giant rock into a square block easily, therefore crafting a stone pot was hardly a challenge. It was nothing more than a simple task, requiring just a little focus and a flick of my hand to shape it into whatever I desired.

...

...

After a short while, the cooking was finished, and with that, I wasted no time digging in right away.

MUNCH! MUNCH! MUNCH! NOM! NOM! NOM!

The Colossal Lobster was an absolute delight—exceedingly tender, bursting with juiciness, and perfectly complemented by a rich, flavorful soup that seemed to enhance the lobster’s natural taste. The meat itself was so delicate that each bite melted in my mouth.

Fortunately, the seawater, with its natural saltiness, added the perfect seasoning to the dish, giving it just the right balance of flavor without the need for any extra salt.

"Mmm! Yum! Delicious!"

Shortly after relishing the delightful meal, I rose to my feet, dusting off the remnants of sand from my clothes. Gazing at the vast blue sky and searching for the next neighboring planet to explore, the daytime glare made it difficult to see. So, I decided to put off my celestial observations for now and wait until nightfall when the sky would be clearer to see.

...

...

Roughly twelve hours later...

Finally, as nightfall descended, the nearby planets became easier to observe.

"Alright, time to leave!" With a determined expression, I took a deep breath and braced myself for another massive leap into space.

"Ready, set, let’s go!" I said as I shot off toward the sky. "Woohoo!"

LEAP!

WHOOSH!

My jump was so powerful that it left a massive crater in the ground as I soared through the sky, feeling the rush of air around me. I could already sense the distance between me and this planet growing, the world below becoming smaller and smaller until it was just a speck.

...

...

About two and a half weeks later...

I finally arrived on this new planet. It was a vibrant blue, covered mostly in water, with a few scattered islands breaking up the vast expanse of ocean.

I explored for a few weeks, scanning every inch of this planet, searching for something—anything—that could resemble intelligent life. Every corner I turned, every new stretch of islands I covered, I held onto a slim hope for a sign.

But as always, my search proved fruitless. This planet was empty, no cities, no signs of civilization, just countless sea monsters lurking beneath the waves and a few island beasts roaming the islands.

I took a deep breath, the familiar weight of disappointment settling in. There was nothing here—nothing but giant monsters, just like all the other planets I had visited previously.

Welp, this really sucks. I guess no luck again.

Currently, I stood on this small island for a while, watching the horizon, but deep down, I knew what had to be done. There was no reason to stay here any longer. With a resigned sigh, I glanced up at the vast sky once more, preparing to leave.

Another search, another planet. Maybe I’d get lucky on the next one. Or at least, I hoped so...

"Alright, time to get out here!" Without wasting any time, I launched myself into space once more, heading toward the next set of nearby planets.

LEAP!!!

I swear! I better get lucky this time! This next new planet better have something!
