Chapter 90: Unknown Object
...
...
A year and a half later...
By this point, I had already explored all 17 planets within this solar system. Each journey had been a mix of hope and disappointment, and yet, despite my efforts, I still hadn’t found any sign of intelligent life.
Now, I found myself seated on the icy ground of the most recent or latest planet that I had discovered just a few weeks ago. This frozen world, blanketed in endless sheets of ice and snow, was the farthest planet from the sun within this solar system.
I’m not sure how cold it is here—maybe around -387°F (-232°C)? Honestly, I can’t really tell. I guess I’m just too strong for it. To me, it feels more like a mild spring day than anything else. Of course, I’m sure an ordinary human would’ve been frozen to death by now, without a doubt but not me.
Anyway, given the absence of intelligent life in this solar system, my only option now was to depart and venture to another solar system. It would be a long trip for sure—likely taking hundreds of thousands or if not millions of years just to reach the nearest solar system from here. I let out a sigh, uncertain of what to do next. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to endure such a long journey either.
Ah, if only I could figure out how to hibernate. That would make space travel a lot less boring and lonely. Time would pass so much faster if I could just sleep my way through until I reached whatever neighboring solar systems I ended up in. It would feel like a single day, since waking up would mean I’d have reached my destination.

As I strolled around and continued to explore this barren, icy world, a massive Colossal Ice Dragon suddenly appeared in the sky.
ROAAARRR!!!
In an instant, the Colossal Ice Dragon unleashed multiple giant ice cannons at me. Being at the SSS-Rank level and having SSS-Rank stats, this type of attack no longer posed any threat to me. There was no need for me to dodge; I could simply stand still and withstand the onslaught without any issue.
However, lately I’ve been in a really bad mood and frustrated due to the lack of intelligent life in this solar system. So, I decided to unleash all of my frustration on this Colossal Ice Dragon.
"Ugh, how annoying! Just die!" I yelled as I leaped into the sky and delivered a powerful punch to the Colossal Ice Dragon.
BOOOMMM!!!
A single punch was all it took to utterly annihilate it.
Ding!
[You have slain a Colossal Ice Dragon!]
With nothing left to do on this icy planet, I decided it was time to return to the first planet and check up on the portals one last time before leaving this solar system for good. Who knows? If I’m lucky, those portals in those floating islands might start working again.
Without wasting another second, I leaped into the sky right away, soaring as I made my way toward space.
LEAP!
WHOOSH!

...
Approximately a year and a half later...
It had been a long journey, but I finally made it back to Porion planet, the very first planet where my journey began.
Currently, high in the sky on one of the floating islands, I scanned the surroundings for any signs of activity. Unfortunately, as I had anticipated, these floating islands were empty as usual. I didn’t see any portals working or active, let alone glowing brightly.
I had already double-checked by jumping from one floating island to another multiple times over the past few hours, yet the portals still seemed to be inactive. I couldn’t help but feel upset and disappointed as I had come all the way back here for nothing.
Welp, it’s been pretty nice staying in this solar system for all these years. I’ve seen so much, experienced even more, but I guess it’s time to say goodbye. As I gazed up at the vast, beautiful blue sky, a twinge of sadness and anger gnawed at me. The feeling was almost physical, like a weight pressing down on my chest.
My desire for revenge still burned heavily inside me, and no matter how much time passed, it refused to fade. If anything, it only grew stronger over time. I couldn’t shake the thought that I had unfinished business, and leaving here now didn’t feel like an option.
It was hard to put it into words—like someone hanging up on me without offering any proper explanation. Oh well, it is what it is. Not like I can do anything about it now.
After a short time of enjoying the view from up here, I eventually left the floating island.
LEAP! WHOOSH!
A little while later, I stood by the lakeside, skillfully capturing Giant Fishes to prepare for my lunch. You might be wondering why I’m still on this planet. Well, since I’m about to leave soon, I figured I might as well have one last big meal before venturing to another solar system.
After all, it’s going to be a very long journey, and I might never get the chance to eat again after this, so I figured I should eat as much as I can now before it’s too late, as an opportunity like this might not come again. And even if it does, I don’t think I could wait that long.
Not long later, I found myself sitting next to a massive campfire, the warmth from the flames providing a comforting contrast to the midday sun. The smell of the fishes roasting over the fire made my stomach growl. With a satisfied smile, I looked down at the fishes I had just caught with my bare hands. I wiped my hands on my pants and grinned to myself.
"Alright, let’s eat!" I said aloud, eager to dig in. Without wasting any time, I tore into the fishes, savoring the taste of the meal after such a long journey.
MUNCH! MUNCH! MUNCH! NOM! NOM! NOM!
"Mmm! Yum! Delicious!"
It had been so long since I last ate, and with an upcoming journey to another solar system, I knew I couldn’t waste this chance. I dug in, eating as if there was no tomorrow.
Out of nowhere:
BOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
"W-What the hell is going on?!!!"
RUMBLE!!!
The unknown impact unleashed powerful shockwaves that rippled through the ground, causing it to tremble violently beneath my feet while the trees swayed with an almost unnatural ferocity. It felt as though the earth itself had been struck by the force of a massive earthquake—or perhaps even an asteroid—but it was impossible to say for sure, as I had no idea what in the world was happening.
Ding!
