Chapter 84: Minecraft Base
Once the cooking was done, I started eating the Sarcosuchus’s meat right away.
MUNCH! MUNCH! MUNCH! NOM! NOM! NOM!
"Mmm! Yum! This is delicious!"
After a hearty meal, I got up, fueled and ready to delve deeper and explore this mysterious, unknown prehistoric world.
"Alright, let’s get moving!"
...
...
A few months later...
A few months have passed, yet I still haven’t encountered any people or any trace of civilization—just gigantic prehistoric monsters. At this point, I’m getting so sick and tired of dealing with these damn monsters every day. Ah, I just want to talk to someone, anyone! I long for human interaction, yearning to ease my loneliness.
Seriously... just where on earth is everyone? Am I the only intelligent species that exists in this world or what? I couldn’t help but wonder.
Dammit, whether humans, elves, aliens, or any other beings, I’m fine with anything as long as I can interact with people. And that’s enough to ease my loneliness and bring me some sense of satisfaction.
...
...
Another several months passed...
By now, it’s been roughly six months since I started exploring this world, and I’ve seen a lot—some of it amazing, some downright bizarre. Along the way, I decided this planet deserved a name, so I went with the name "Porion." No deep meaning behind it; I just thought it sounded cool that’s all.
And even after so much time passed, I had only managed to explore roughly about 65% of this entire world. That left a substantial 35% still unexplored, its mysteries still waiting to be uncovered.
Of course, these numbers were only rough estimates, since the scope of the world was so vast, and my progress was more about what I experienced than about precise measurements.
Currently, I’m gathering wood to construct a larger house. With little else to occupy my time in this world, I’ve dedicated most of my hours to building homes for myself. Thanks to my current strength, I can easily shape or turn any wood into perfect squares—essentially crafting "Minecraft"-style wood blocks for building my temporary base.
Right, I know it might sound a little weird, but I’m basically playing Minecraft in real life right now to pass the time. I mean, when you’re stuck in a world like this with nothing but endless wilderness, what else is there to do besides killing monsters and surviving? The days blend together, and eventually, you find yourself just looking for something else to keep busy.
So, building a wooden house seemed like the perfect way to fill the hours. I mean, it’s not like I had much else to do anyway. That’s why I’ve dedicated most of my time to constructing a bigger, better place for myself—something to call a temporary home in this strange and mysterious world.
KARATE CHOP!
Most people use tools like axes or other equipment to shape their wood into squares, but I just use my bare hands. I mean, I could destroy a small mountain with just one punch, so turning wood into square shapes shouldn’t be much of a problem. In fact, I actually find it quite enjoyable.
CHOP! CHOP! CHOP!
As of now, I’ve already built two massive square houses. The reason I built two was simple: I wanted to make sure I had a backup base in case the monsters decided to wreak havoc and destroy one of them.
After all, this world can be very unpredictable, and who knows when a horde of creatures might show up, so it’s nice to always have an additional house as backup just in case.
"Ah, what a beautiful day," I said to myself, looking up at the bright blue sky and taking in the calm peaceful nature around me.
...
...
A few years later...
By now, I had already completed my exploration of this entire planet. It became evident that this world harbored no humans, no civilizations—only powerful colossal monsters. It was a planet devoid of any form of intelligent life.
Every now and then, I would jump up to those floating islands just to see if the portal was working. But, just like all the other times, there was no light, no glow, nothing at all. It was pretty much clear it wasn’t working, like always, but I couldn’t help but check anyway, just in case you know if it somehow does work.
Ugh, this is frustrating! Furthermore, I have no idea how to operate this portal or even how to activate or make it work again!
To preserve my sanity during these past few years of solitude, I immersed myself in construction projects—building houses, mansions, furniture, and various other creations to fill my time. And yes, most of them were square-shaped designs. Sadly, it was the easiest way to build things, well, at least for me, since I had no knowledge of how to build a proper house using modern methods.
After all, the square-shaped style was very easy, as you don’t really need to go to school for that—especially since I had played a lot of Minecraft before, so I knew how to do it. Haha, who would’ve thought the skills I picked up from Minecraft would actually come in handy in real life? I can’t help but be a little proud of it.
Out of nowhere:
ROAAARRR!!!
A deafening roar shattered the silence as a group of seven colossal T-Rexes with scales of blue and red mixed together popped out of nowhere. They thundered toward my mansion, their gigantic feet shaking the ground with each step. Before I could process what was happening, they began tearing into the walls, knocking over furniture, smashing windows, and toppling everything in their path.
RUMBLE!
"Aaaaaghhh!!! Stop it, you son of a bitch!!! I just finished building that!!! Fuck!!!" I screamed in frustration, watching my beautiful mansion falling apart in front of me.
Without wasting another second, I threw aside whatever I had been working on and sprinted toward the chaos. The sight of these monstrous T-Rexes destroying everything I had worked so hard for fueled a burning rage inside me.
"Fucking T-Rexes!!! That’s it, you’re gonna be on my fucking menu tonight!!!" I shouted, barely holding back my frustration and anger.
T-Rex soup, T-Rex stew, whatever it is, I’m definitely eating these motherfuckers for sure! Oh, that’s right! I could even use their bones for decoration or to upgrade and build my mansion! Bahaha! Sounds like a great idea!
