Chapter 83: Exploring Unknown World

DESCENDING!

...

...

After a short while, I landed on the beach where I had jumped earlier.

THUD!

The force of my powerful landing formed a small crater beneath my feet. I couldn’t help but be impressed by my current strength. It seemed that having SSS-Rank stats really made things a lot more convenient. Even defeating those sea monsters was no issue.

As soon as I landed here, I wasted no time and started moving immediately. The dense forest ahead called to me, its enigmatic allure stoking my curiosity and determination to uncover the unknown.

As I pushed through the thick, lush undergrowth, I couldn’t help but marvel at the vibrant tapestry of flora that surrounded me. The air was alive with the melodic chirping of birds and the soft rustling of leaves, while streaks of sunlight fought to pierce the thick canopy overhead.

CHIRP!

Hmm, if there was one word to describe this beautiful, lively forest, it would be "prehistoric and ancient." At least, that’s what it felt like—like stepping into a forest from Earth’s prehistoric era.

As I ventured deeper into the forest, the landscape transformed into an enchanting realm of towering trees, vibrant flowers, and mysterious sounds. I couldn’t help but feel awestruck by the beauty and diversity of this new world. But my peaceful moment didn’t last long—soon, a rumble echoed through the woods.

A shadow fell over me as these massive creatures, unlike anything I’d ever seen before, started emerging from the thick foliage. Dinosaurs type monsters, big and small, of all shapes and sizes, were prowling the forest like it was their own turf. Their primal roars echoed through the trees, and I could feel the ground shaking beneath me as they moved.

THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!

"Whoa, what the hell? Land dinosaurs?" I said, my eyes wide as I took in the sight before me.

ROAAARRR!!!

Without warning, a pack of smaller, more agile dinosaurs charged at me, their teeth bared and claws poised to strike. Reacting instinctively, I dropped into a defensive stance, my combat skills honed through countless challenges on the open sea. The first Velociraptor lunged at me, but I intercepted its attack with a swift kick, sending it sprawling.

Yet, the battle was far from over. Soon, I was surrounded by a relentless wave of prehistoric predators. My punches and kicks blurred in a constant stream of motion, each one aimed at fending off these agile attackers closing in from all sides.

PUNCH! DODGE! KICK!

My survival instincts kicked in as I adapted to the unique challenges of battling land monsters. My movements became a dance of agility and strength, each strike carefully calculated to exploit these creatures’ vulnerabilities.

Despite the ferocity of these monsters, my resolve held firm. I skillfully sidestepped razor-sharp teeth, deftly countered powerful tail swipes, and delivered precise blows to my enemies. The forest reverberated with the symphony of our intense battle—a clash between my tenacity and the primal force of these dinosaurs.

...

...

"Huff! Huff! Huff!" After a long and grueling battle, I emerged victorious, panting and drenched in sweat. The defeated monsters retreated into the shadows, leaving me to catch my breath amidst the ancient trees.

"Phew... that was tougher than I expected..." I muttered, wiping the sweat from my forehead. The weight of the encounter lingered as I took in the aftermath. These monsters were unlike anything I’d faced before—there was a brutal, raw strength to them that far surpassed the sea creatures I’d battled in the depths of the ocean. It didn’t make sense. Those creatures in the sea were no pushovers, but these land monsters? They were on a whole new level.

This is absolutely baffling. How could land monsters possibly be stronger than sea monsters? If I were to compare their sizes, the sea monsters were undoubtedly many times larger than their land counterparts. Yet, for some reason, these land monsters turned out to be the far more formidable ones.

Welp, then again, I can’t exactly rely on human logic to judge these things, so that’s that.

Now, you might be wondering what their levels are. Well, after using my "Level Scan" skill, I discovered that their levels weren’t much different from the sea monsters. But then again, a monster’s level alone doesn’t really tell the whole story. Stats can vary from individual to individual, and they might have hidden passive skills or other abilities I’m unaware of that make them stronger.

Who knows? After all, levels are just numbers. The only way to get an accurate sense of their power would be to check their stats, but sadly, I don’t have a skill for that.

...

...

After resting for a few minutes, I stood up and started moving again. Hmm... now that I think about it, being stuck in this world isn’t so bad after all. At least I have freedom here, instead of being forced and ordered around by those aliens.

But too bad, no matter how much freedom I have now, I won’t truly be satisfied with my life until I get my revenge. I have to; it’s a must, or else I just won’t have peace of mind.

A week later...

Sitting next to a campfire, I’m currently cooking some Sarcosuchus’s meat. Sarcosuchus, a type of dinosaur related to crocodiles.

I had been exploring this world for quite a while now, yet I still hadn’t come across a single person. It was starting to feel as though I might be the only one here.

At this point, I couldn’t help but think this planet might not have any humans or any civilization at all. The thought was unsettling, but I couldn’t be certain just yet. After all, I still had a lot left to explore. There were vast stretches of land and biomes I hadn’t even touched yet. I estimated I’d covered about 25% of this entire world, with plenty more to go before I could truly say I’d seen it all and figured out what kind of planet this really was.

Welp, no point in thinking too much right now. First, I’ll cook up this Sarcosuchus meat, eat, and then figure out what to do next. One step at a time, no rush.

Mmm, it smells so good! Ah, I can’t wait to dig in already!
