Right away, I allocated all 14 of my stat points to strength. After all, the higher my strength, the stronger I’d become, allowing me to deal more damage and be more useful to the party.

After a few hours of rest, the enormous portal made an appearance once again, indicating that it was time for the next trial.

In the blink of an eye, the alien soldiers emerged from the portal, and without wasting any time, one of the alien soldiers at the front raised his hand. Immediately, the entire colosseum began to shake.

RUMBLE!

At first, it was just a low rumble, like distant thunder. Then cracks started forming in the ground beneath us, glowing with this weird, green light. Before we could even process what was happening, the floor suddenly just... collapsed.

"W-What the hell is going on?!!" Everyone was in a panic, all of us wondering the same thing—just what on earth was happening?!

Next thing I knew, I was falling. The others were falling as well, all of us going down together.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghhh!!!"

We all screamed as we descended.

WHOOSH!

The wind roared past me, my stomach doing somersaults as I plummeted into God-knows-where. I reached out, grabbing for something—anything—but there was nothing to hold onto. Dammit! What in the world is going on?!

Eventually, we passed through the white clouds, and what we saw below was a vast, beautiful blue ocean. The bright sunlight bathed the seawater’s surface, causing it to shimmer with a radiant, sparkling reflection.

Whoa! So beautiful! I couldn’t help but be mesmerized by the beauty of the ocean. It was simply breathtaking. Oh, wait! What the hell am I thinking at a time like this?! Nevermind how beautiful the ocean is—the real question is, why are the aliens dropping us here?! Especially in an ocean teeming with dangerous sea monsters! Fuck! Are the aliens trying to kill us this time?! But why?!

Then—WHAM!

I hit the ground hard, pain shooting through my legs as I scanned my surroundings. Confusion washed over me—no more falling, and the ocean had suddenly vanished. It seemed we had been transported to an entirely new place in the blink of an eye. Hmm, what the hell is this? Is this the new location for the third trial?

The environment we found ourselves in was a bright, empty white room. The room wasn’t exactly small, but it wasn’t overwhelmingly large either—just big enough to accommodate both us humans and the giant aliens.

Looking around, I noticed there were no windows, no doors, no exit—nothing. Just an empty, spacious white room. I couldn’t even figure out where the light was coming from, since there weren’t any visible light bulbs here.

In any case, I couldn’t help but wonder what we were supposed to do next. I just hoped the third trial would go smoothly for all of us, and that no one would die before reaching the final trial or 5th trial.

BLINK!

At this very moment, a portal materialized right in front of us, its edges shimmering as it came into existence. Shortly afterward, two alien soldiers stepped through, their presence adding an eerie tension to the room. Without a word, one of the aliens immediately moved toward the wall on the north side, placing his hand upon it. In an instant, the wall seemed to ripple, and not long afterward, an enormous red portal manifested before us.

Whoa... what struck me as truly remarkable about this red portal wasn’t its size or color, but its unique feature—through its glowing surface, we could clearly see the other side, as if it were a window into another world.

A new type of portal, I suppose? Damn, these aliens really have an impressive array of technology.

Glancing at my party members, I could tell they were just as curious about the portal. Still, shouldn’t they have portals in their own worlds? Given that they came from magical, fantasy worlds, I would expect the concept of portals to be fairly common to them. After all, with magic, the possibilities are endless.

The alien soldiers didn’t waste any time and said, "The portal is ready. To begin the third trial, simply step through it."

With that, the two alien soldiers stepped aside, careful not to block our way as we approached the glowing red portal. "Very well, I wish you all the best of luck," they said, their tone carrying a hint of finality. There was no further explanation—only the silent expectation that we would step forward and face whatever awaited us on the other side.

Well, it’s not like we have a choice anyway. We gotta keep moving forward, whether we like it or not, or there will be consequences.

...

...

Once we all entered the portal, we were instantly transported to the vast emptiness of space, where we hovered for a moment before descending toward a planet.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhh!!!"

Once again, we all screamed as we descended.

As we were falling, I couldn’t help but be blown away by what I saw. Whoa! Is this what a planet looks like from space?! Now that I think about it, this planet’s colors look strikingly similar to Earth’s—blue and green.

Eventually, we passed through the white clouds, and below us appeared a floating island, isolated in the vast blue sky. The island itself seemed to hover effortlessly, bathed in the bright light of the sun. At the center of this floating island stood a charming, cute medieval-style city, its cobbled streets lined with colorful houses and teeming with vibrant flowers. The air seemed to be filled with the scent of blossoms, and everything about this city felt peaceful and serene.

But what stood out the most was the massive "Blue Crystal Altar" located directly at the center of this city, its radiant glow casting an otherworldly yet awe-inspiring light across the surroundings. The city was also surrounded by towering walls, giving it an air of protection and mystery, as if it were preventing outsiders from entering or its people from venturing out to the outside world.

Upon seeing the Blue Crystal Altar and the gigantic city walls, a thought immediately crossed my mind: T-This must be a tower defense challenge! At least, that’s what I figured the third trial might actually be!
