Chapter 105: 5th Floor Clone Boss

"Bahahaha!!! This is it!!! The amazing feeling of raw power!!! Hahaha!!!" Nebulon laughed, his voice full of excitement and satisfaction. The surge of strength spread through him, sending a thrill down his spine. It felt incredible—almost addictive—as if he could do anything.

After a short while, Nebulon finally calmed down, exhaling as the excitement faded. "Oh well, I guess I’ll have to wait another month again for the cooldown to reset... Alright, I’m gonna take a bath. Make sure to clean this place up."

Without another word, Nebulon turned and strolled out of the dining hall, leaving the alien soldiers to clean up the mess.

"Yes, your majesty! Leave it to us!" the alien soldiers replied in perfect unison, their voices filled with a mix of respect and urgency.

Without hesitation, they sprang into action, moving quickly to clean up the mess left behind in the dining hall. Some gathered the broken dishes, while others wiped down the tables and floors, all working together to restore the space to its pristine condition. The once-disorderly room slowly began to take shape, as if nothing had ever happened here.

Within the small personal world Sona had created, she paced back and forth in the bedroom where Gaseo had left through the mysterious portal earlier. Though Gaseo had been gone for quite a while, time moves differently in her private world.

The truth was, initially, Sona had planned to let Gaseo go after drinking his blood. Thanks to him, her internal injuries had healed pretty quickly. However, the taste of blood was simply too delicious to resist, which was why she couldn’t help herself and wanted to keep Gaseo with her, so she could continue drinking it.

In short, Sona was an incredibly selfish and greedy person. Even back in the world of Demigod, she had stolen numerous rare artifacts and killed a few people, making her a target for many. To escape the wrath of those seeking revenge, she fled to the Mortal World. Basically, you could say that she was a wanted criminal back in the Demigod Realm.

Right now, Sona was seething with frustration over her own stupid mistakes. She couldn’t believe that Gaseo had managed to escape so easily. The thought of losing her precious food source only fueled her anger. If she had been a lot stricter, she wouldn’t have lost Gaseo and would still be enjoying drinking that delicious human blood by now.

BAAAMMM!!!

"Aaaaaaahhh!!! Fuck my life!!! Why didn’t I lock him up?!!" Sona slammed the bedroom table in frustration, breaking it instantly. "If only I had chained up his hands and feet, he wouldn’t have been able to escape! Ugh, goddammit! I can’t believe I went too easy on him!"

"Y-You!!! Who the hell are you?!! Why do you look like me?!!" I said, totally shocked.

The figure on the throne chuckled, its sinister grin never fading. "I’m you, but not the you you think you know," he said, his voice sounding exactly like mine, but with a twisted, mocking edge.

That’s when it hit me—I suddenly remembered something I should have considered earlier. Oh, right, how could I have forgotten? This is the Tower of Self. So, the word "self" probably meant that I had to overcome this 5th Floor Quest by defeating myself. Yeah, that had to be it. That explained why this guy looked exactly like me, which made perfect sense.

"Kekeke! What’s wrong? Why so quiet all of a sudden?" he said with a grin. "Before we fight, if you have any questions, feel free to ask now. Because once we start, I won’t be able to hold myself back. Ah, and just so you know, you’re probably gonna be stuck here for a really long, long time." He smirked with confidence.

He continued, "Well, unless you can defeat me that is—but that’s a whole different story, because I doubt you’ll ever be able to do it." He laughed sinisterly. "Hahaha!"

I’m not sure why, but somehow, that laugh of his made me feel uncomfortable. Yeah, I have a bad feeling about this, but it’s too early to jump to conclusions yet, so we’ll see how it plays out.

"Such confidence!" I replied. "I’m curious, what makes you say that? I mean, even though we’re both technically the same, it doesn’t mean we’re exactly alike. Well, unless, of course, you share all my memories. But I doubt you do. From what I can tell, you’re just a clone—nothing really special."

"Bahahahahaha!!!" Out of nowhere, he burst into laughter at my words. After about five seconds, he finally calmed down and said, "Oh, really? You really think I’m just a clone, huh? Well, you’re not entirely wrong, but I think you’re forgetting something very important. Wanna try to guess what it is?" He said, his tone mocking.

"No idea. Also, I’m too lazy to think, so just tell me quickly," I said, trying to keep the conversation short. I was lowkey itching to start fighting right away and get this over with—finish this 5th-Floor Quest so that I could quickly get out of here. Still, I couldn’t help but be curious about what he was going to say.

"Haha. Well, before I tell you the answer, I’ll just say that the only parts you’re correct about are, yes, I’m indeed a clone—well, sort of. And as for the second point, yes, I don’t have your memories either, so I have no idea about your personal life or what you’ve been through up until now. However!"

He paused, suddenly becoming serious. "However, I do share the same stats as you, such as agility, strength, magic power, and even levels. In short, everything is pretty much the same. So, wanna take a guess now? It shouldn’t be that hard to figure out what I’m about to say next. Anyway, I’ll give you some time to think about it, so don’t disappoint me. Alright, if you understand, start trying to figure it out now," he said.

I’m not sure what he’s trying to say, but it seems like he keeps insisting I try to guess it.
