And that was not all. She was in immense pain and suffering already and she learned of another thing.

His secret obsession!

Just until a year ago, she knew that her husband had condemnably sinful intentions towards a woman. And she could do nothing about it. She was terrified of talking about it to Rory.

Also, she didn’t know why, but she despised Rory. Every time he mentioned Rory to her, she’d always be in pain, and she associated Rory’s name with pain and suffering. She was in so much pain physically and emotionally, that she thought that if her husband takes Rory, she might be free.

And she waited for the day her husband lets her go and got together with Rory. She wanted to be free of pain.

She waited for a chance to get away.

It was then that the dreaded day came. She could see the change in his attitude lately. He was more and more brazen. She feared meeting his eyes and his attitude at home became more belligerent.

She saw him walking inside the house wearing a blue shirt not belonging to him. He was soaked in blood. She was terrified by how casual he was. He walked to the kitchen, poured himself a bottle of whiskey and savored it.

He looked pleased.

That night he came to her. She was terrified of all the pain she will have to go through. But she remembered that night. She was sitting on the bed hugging the pillow. She knew not to shout in case she woke up Skyla. She didn’t want her daughter to get scared. Her daughter still thinks that her father is the best father in the whole world.

The room that was painted red to his preference was dark as he preferred. "Only a little more," he said. "I won’t need you for long. Once I open the door, I can throw away the key!"

The dim lights reflected on the walls painting a demonic contour on his face. She pissed out of fear. And he laughed, mocking her, and reveling in the "success" of his training.

"I’ve trained you well, haven’t I?" he growled right in front of her face. And then he pushed her down and made her lick her urine.

As she was on the floor with her tears dried up, he walked out of the room singing a happy tune. He didn’t return to that room for a long time after that. She didn’t know why. But from the rumors she heard from the Roberts family, she could now infer that Rory and Liam had applied for divorce back then.

She liked the way her husband treated her like air. She wanted it to stay that way. But then he came home very angry one night.

’He’s still sneaking behind her!’

He shouted. That day he hit her with his leather belt. She was hurt so badly and since she didn’t receive any medical treatment, she ended up getting a fever.

She didn’t want to stay with him anymore. She wanted to leave. But she knew the influence of her husband was so great that it would be very hard for her to stay hidden. She dreaded the idea of doing something against him lest she gets caught.

In that case, she would die a terrible death.

At that time, she started receiving private messages from a guy. He was just this silly young guy who was besotted with her. He gave her what she wanted most at that time.

He told her that she is lovely.

Seriously, that’s all it took for her to continue her conversation with that guy. She was not in the headspace to accept the confession of that guy. But she wanted out.

And so, she pretended to accept his love.

Was she wrong? Absolutely. She was using another person not telling him the truth. There was every possibility that her husband will find out about that guy and he will kill that guy and her for sure. But she didn’t want to give up.

That guy was so serious about her, and he formulated a lot of plans for her to get away from her husband.

She seriously looked for a way out. But to survive without her husband and to hide from him, she needed money. She tried to withdraw the money she earned before she was married. She was the Miss Universe, and she endorsed a lot of brands which made her a millionaire.

But she was stupefied to learn that all her accounts had been turned to joint accounts. She couldn’t withdraw the money she earned without alerting her psychopathic husband.

She was left with no choice but to stay for a little longer.

She started documenting everything her husband was doing. Everything. From when he leaves home, what he wears when he returns and what he wears then, what he eats, how long he stays in the toilet...Everything!

She knew he will be caught. She hoped he will be caught.

She hardened her heart to leave with or without Skyla. Honestly, she didn’t want to leave without Skyla and that’s why she had to stay a little bit more. She just said the excuse of saving money so that the other guy would find a way for her to leave with Skyla.

That guy was smart. And that is why she trusted him. He gave her ideas on how to save money.

She started to secretly stash money. She "lost" her jewelry at times. Her husband barely noticed her then and one lost jewelry was nothing to him. Those expensive "lost" pieces of jewelry which were gifts from her husband turned into money in a secret account she opened.

It was then that happened. One night, her husband came home with Liam. Liam was drunk and throughout dinner, he was mumbling how much he missed Rory and that he wanted to get back with her. He said he was going to get back with her before childbirth.

But Sidney watched as her husband manipulated Liam into thinking that Rory would be so mad at him for not being at her side when she was pregnant. He said it would be better for him to wait till she gives birth.

Liam left convinced by his uncle’s words although Sidney knew that if Liam wants to get together with Rory, the best way is to not lose time.

She did not say a word as always. It was not her place in the house to speak.

That night, he covered her face with the pillow, and as usual, used her. He didn’t use a condom that day. She wanted to use the morning-after pill, but she couldn’t get one. He stopped her from getting it.

He wanted her pregnant. And despite trying all the methods she knew to avoid pregnancy, she got pregnant as he wished.

She doubted that he learned of her plans to leave him. She decided to be careful and laid low.
