Eric strapped himself in and dropped his bag on his lap. The heavy bag smashed at his balls. "oh lord..." he tossed the bag to the side and hugged his poor limp cucumber.

"What is it? did you zip it up wrong?"

"no.... I just dropped my bag on my lap."

"I forgot to remind you, its heavy. since it’s your first day I had packed all the books. You can leave the unimportant books in your locker."

"Thanks for the early reminder dear brother," Eric mumbled, wiping his sweaty forehead. The pain had reduced exponentially.

"Does it hurt too much? Shall we go to the hospital?" Haolei worriedly peered at him.

"No..." Eric gazed at his lap. "it’s no use. This is just a limp cucumber without seeds." He whimpered, remembering his sad situation.

"Huh?"

Little shadow in the backseat laughed out loud. "Jung, no Eric, I forgot to remind you of something. Your situation can be resolved."

"Really?" Eric glanced back hopefully.

"What?" Haolei glanced at him.

"Nothing I’m talking to little shadow." Eric peered at the young boy with a glistening gaze. "How do I solve this situation?"

"Its...." The little ghost blushed slightly. "it’s not something I can reveal to a kid. Sorry,"

"Ah!! I’m not a kid, okay. Just spit it out. How can I make my limp cucumber into a firmer one."

The car swerved slightly. Haolei cussed under his breath. "What is this about your cucumber?"

"I’ll tell you later brother. First, let me beat this ghost up."

gulping, little ghost moved back and hid under the seat. "I was trying to tell you this earlier! It was in the yang cultivation book. If you had read a few papers, you would have known,"

Eric glared at him ferociously. "Say it out loud, how can I solve my impotence!"

the car swerved again.

Haolei hurriedly steadied ye car and peered at him with his eyes wide open. "I-impotent....."

the ghost boy blushed and shook his head. "Who can I say that with my mouth... I’m too shy."

Bai Yuri had immense yang energy, he felt it the first time he met him in reality. so, it was much more convenient for him.

Eric gazed at his brother with a small smile. "No... it’s something related to a spell... nothing much."

"so, you’re not impotent?"

The car rolled up in front of his school. Eric glanced at the students who rushed to the gates. There was a teacher who was whistling loudly as he was halfway in closing the door.

"Bye see you later,’ he shouted and jumped out of the car. The school gate was about to close.

He slid between the small gap in between the gates and ran in.

The teacher gave him a slight glare. "where’s your id card? Didn’t you know that you have to wear your id card before entering the campus?" the man said with his hand on his hips.

Eric grinned up at him. "I’m new."

"oh.."

"yea, sorry can you tell me where class ten is?"

The teacher’s face relaxed slightly. "You have to go to the faculty building to get your id card. Your class is also in the same building. the second building, the first-floor third class to the right. Hurry along, the class will start in ten minutes."

"Thanks!" he ran to the second building. It was not that hard to find.

The fellow students gave him a few looks.

But Eric had no time to even consider them. The bell rang loudly alerting him that the first class had already started.

Panting Eric ran to the administrator’s department. A middle-aged lady sitting behind the desk gave him a weird look. "you’re late."

"yes, I’m aware of that." he walked in wiping the sweat off his forehead. "I’m here to get my id card."

"Did you lose it?" the lady opened an old drawer full of id cards.

"No m new. I was told to get my id card before heading to my class."

"Oh," she handed his card to him with a kind smile. "Work hard kid,"

Returning her smile Eric dashed out of there to his class. By now the hallways were all empty and the whole school had an eerie quietness to it.

His class had also started. From outside, he could hear a strong male voice talking about some theory.

Standing out the door, he took a deep breath. "God, I hope I don’t get scolded."

The ghost boy who had always been with him gave him a reassuring smile. "Good luck,"

"Yeah, I’m going to need that." he opened the door slightly and poked his head in.

The teacher instantly stopped his lecture and peered at him with his brows scrunched up. "Ten minutes. You are ten minutes late."

Eric opened the door fully and walked in. "I’m sorry... I kind of got lost." he smiled sheepishly.

The teacher gave him a look. "You’re the new kid, huh... seat next top Yuna is free. Don’t just loiter in front of me wasting my time." He grumbled.

Eric awkwardly nodded as he was not sure who this Yuna was.

But looking at the class students he knew exactly who he was talking about.

It was that weird girl he met in front of the school. The spot next to her was the only free seat.

The girl gave him an enthusiastic wave and gestured to the empty seat.

Sighing Eric sat down.

"What a coincidence I never thought we will meet again." She said with a flirty smile.

Eric nodded wordlessly.

"Here, we are on page twenty." She gestured to the physics book.

Eric took out his book and silently spread it out on his table. Looking at the unfamiliar words and theories he was quite apprehensive about his decision.

’Maybe I should consider homeschooling. this is all to new...’

’relativity theory? quantum theory? oh my god... what have I done.. why is this so hard to understand?’

All of a sudden, His head started aching so badly. Groaning, he laid his head on the table.

’Just reading a few lines gave me a headache... fuck I’m going to be an academic failure for sure....’

A fine layer of sweat covered his face.

The pain was intensifying as each minute passed.

’What is going on...’ he tightly closed his eyes.

Suddenly a vision appeared. in that, he was walking through a clear white hallway following kids who looked about ten years old. everyone was made to sit in a separate classroom.

the vision flickered and he saw himself reading something about quantum theory on an advance looking device.

’what is this?...’ Eric groaned loudly holding his pounding head.

{’warning, warning system malfunction.}

The system kept beeping showing red warning signs.

The pain didn’t get any better. it progressively got worse until he started to feel faint.

"Hey..." a cool hand touched his cheeks. "Why are you burning up like that? teacher! Something is wrong with him!" A panicked voice was the last thing he heard before he lost consciousness.

{warning... warning.. war.. ning....}

The system’s overwhelming beeping voice started to crack giving off a crackling sound.

All of a sudden it all disappeared.

It was silent

{’Eric...’} a soft voice whispered in his mind.

Eric woke up instantly. His panicked eyed looked around to see that he was in a small bed.

A beautiful young girl was beside him.

Yuna, he remembered her name.

"Whoa lay down. The nurse said that you had a concussion and that you need rest. Your brother is coming over to pick you up."

Eric could not focus at all. That crackling sound of the system was overwhelming his senses.

Eric gently held his own head. ’System... what the hell is wrong with you man?’

{’Eric...’} the soft voice came along with that crackling sound.

Eric froze. ’Who?’

{’Eric.....’} the voice repeated.

It sounded so familiar.

So... human.

’System?’

{’Eric....’}

’Shut up!!! it hurts...’ he held his aching head.

As soon as he shouted that in his mind, the voice and that crackling sound disappeared.

{host!’ are you okay?’} the system said hurriedly.

’Do I look okay? My head is pounding! What the hell was that? Who was that person? Are you pulling a prank on me? I will smack the shit out of you if you try that again, I swear..’
