Till the crack of dawn, Eric stayed up and read through the yin cultivation book. The exorcism was only explained in a few pages so he had to find them all by reading it through. It was not that complicated. The first and only rule was that an exorcist can’t defeat a ghost or an evil entity that is more powerful than them without the use of specific yang-powered tools.

Technically speaking ghosts and evil entities are all powered by very strong yin energy. Yang energy which is the opposite of it can easily weaken them. That’s why ghost boy would never come out in the direct sunlight.

But right now Eric did not have any yang-powered articles. He did not wish to spend any coin on the marketplace before he could confirm whether kai’s girlfriend was indeed possessed or she was just being coerced by her family.

He pulled his small bag close and took out the calming crystal and life-saving vial of serum. With his tight fist, he crushed up the calming crustal and poured it into the vial, mixing two completely. ’cure is prepared. Today is the day Bai Yuri wakes up..’

He was so tempted to astral connect with Bai Yuri again, but it was not ideal. His brother had been awake for a while and had been observing him now and then.

’we will meet in the hospital, anyway. There is no rush.’ Humming a cheerful song, he changed into a fresh pair of clothes. Combed his untamable hair down and tied it up in a half ponytail. A few small wisps of hair were still not able to be tied up, so they fell on his face. He applied a bit of water and made sure that they were out of his face.

Looking at his own reflection he smiled brightly. He looked fifty percent similar to his original form. This body of his had a childish charm to it and it was not that developed. Even though he dressed up so well it only looked like a child playing with their parent’s makeup.

’I need years to mature.... in about three or four years i’ll be the most handsome boy..’ he confidently flicked his hair and walked out of the room.

Looking at the sofa, he saw that the quilt was neatly folded. His brother was roaming around the kitchen, cooking breakfast early at six in the morning. as for brother Lai, he was snoring loudly on the ground.

His quilt had already scattered away from him and he was slightly shivering from the cold now and then.

Walking close, Eric gently nudged him with his toe. "brother, its morning. Wake up,"

But that person was sleeping like a log.

Eric once again kicked his shin. "Brother Lai... don’t you want to meet your girlfriend?"

"You shouldn’t wake him up like that," Haolei came out of the kitchen with a fresh plate of pancakes and handed it to him.

Just the smell of tantalizing sweet treats made Eric even happier. He left the task of walking up that log to his brother and sat on the sofa, relishing the food.

Haolei stepped up to Lai and with a single kick hit him right in the stomach.

Gasping out loud, Lai woke up. "huh... where? Why..." he confusedly looked up at him.

"Get up you bozo. Didn’t you promise to take Jung to the hospital?"

Eri paused mid chew. Upon careful look, he noticed that his brother was wearing his police uniform. It was obvious he was heading off to work. ’so he won’t come with me to the hospital....’ He thought with a pout.

Brother Lai sat up, scratching his head. "it’s too early."

"Actually, the visiting hours for pearl hospital start at six am. We are late." Eric added with a grin. He had already polished off the plate by the time Lai had completely come about. "Shall we get going?"

Lai looked at the clean plate and then at Haolei. "Where is my pancakes??"

"oh, sorry I don’t have time to make any more batches." Haolei grinned and hit the top of his head. "Go get some porridge in the stalls nearby."

"Fuck! this is partiality! I have known you for so long yet you don’t even make me pancakes." He dramatically rolled around on the ground.

Eric watched this comical progression with a small grin. "You might have been friends for so long, but Haolei is my dear darling brother. Noting can beat that,"

Lai glared up qt him with slight resentment. Then all of a sudden, his face bloomed into a smile. "Hmm, I’m your brother too. Brother from another mother. Why don’t you go and make me a few pancakes? I might feel energized only with a bit of breakfast in my tummy. Or else I might sleep off even more. Who knows, maybe we might miss the visiting hours."

Eric did not falter at his comeback. he simply shrugged. "Then you don’t want to check if your girlfriend is possessed or not. she is bound to visit Bai Yuri today. Sigh looks like you don’t want to see her for a while."

Lai shot up. "I’ll be out in fifteen." On the way, he nudged Haolei. "Who taught this kid to be so good at threatening people."

"Who asked you to be a douchbag early in the morning? You asked a young fifteen years old child to cook for you. this is child abuse and child labor. I would have arrested you if Jung had agreed to do it."

"You! You hooligan!" shouted Lai ran into the bathroom to get ready.

Eric and Haolei shared a small glance and let out a small chuckle/

"he is so eccentric," Eric whispered with a smile. In his past life, he had never met anyone like brother Lai before. That could only mean that he was a person or a soul that was completely new to him. The first impression he had of him was not that great.

Lai was tall and had a brutish look on his face. The way he glanced down at him made his impression of him even worse. But when he sobbed about his girlfriend Eric realized that his guy was not a brute or a macho kind of guy. He was a sensitive loving person.

He was thankful a person like that was close to Haolei when he was not here for him.

In his past life, Gwyn had always been alone. He had neither friends nor anyone he was close to until he met up with Altren.

In this life, Haolei had a loving family, friends, and loved ones. Seeing him completely surrounded by love was such a wonderful thing. He was glad that Haolei had a happy childhood and a happy life in this world.

A hand suddenly pinched his nose.

Glancing up, he saw Haolei smiling at softy. "You got all dolled up. let me guess, to meet that brat, Yuri?"

"it’s Bai Yuri. Not brat Yuri" he pulled his brother onto the sofa and hugged his arm. "I like him so much. He is the best in the entire world."

"How old is he?’

"Nineteen."

"Four years difference... it’s too much. You must date people your own age." Haolei said with a slight trace of disapproval in his eyes.

Eri laid his head on his sturdy shoulders. "Nah... even if Bai Yuri was an old man or a young boy, I would have still fallen in love with him and dated him. That’s how much I love him."

He felt Haolei stiffen up. "How old are we talking about?"

Eric glanced up. "Even if he was eighty and I was a young boy I would have dated him. I don’t care what the world calls us... but our love will always be pure and everlasting."

Haolei groaned. "What kind of magic did that kid cast on you? Fuck... I hate him already."

Just like last life, Haolei started to hate Bai Yuri because he and Eric were dating/

Watching history repeat itself Eric desperately tried to correct his mistake, but it was beyond repair.

Haolei just gave a cold smile. "I’ll see if that guy is worth it. I only found my baby brother after so long... I won’t give him up to any douchbags...."

"brother~" Eric hugged him tightly. "But he is not a douchbag..."

"I’m not convinced. I can only come to a conclusion after meeting him...."

Right then Lai ran out forth the bathroom dressed in fresh clothes. his hair was slightly wet from the shower. "Ready? I’m ready. let’s go."

Eric shot up excitedly. "Let’s go~ bye brother, we’ll be back home soon."

"Message me when you reach there," Haolei said reluctantly.

Eric took out the new phone and shook it in the air. "yep~" after reaching the city, Haolei brought him a new phone. Haole insisted that he chose a costly apple iPhone but Eric was against it. he chose his own phone. It was not a popular brand nor a costly one. Eric found that the operation of the phone was simple and much to his liking.

"be careful," Haolei said softly as they closed the door.

Lai and Eric dove over to the hospital in about an hour or so. The visiting hours had begun, but since it was quite early not many people were hanging around in the hallway.

They reached the VIP wards quickly without anyone’s notice.

Lai pulled him over to a corner and poked his head out secretly. in front a particular door stood two guards. "That is your Bai Yuri’s room. How are we doing to get in? wait I can show them my badge and say that we are investigating a new case... it might work"

"Leave that to me." Eric came planned for everything. he had already purchased a bit of something just for this situation.

he first led Lai into the cafeteria and brought two cups of coffee. And into it he dropped a drop of something.

"What is that?"

"a bit of something that will make their tummy go wrom wrom. They will likely never leave the toilet for an hour or so." Eric grinned up at him.

Lai Tsu gulped. "Are you sure you are not the serial killer yourself?"

"Do you think I’m sadistic enough to break my own rib and my shin?"

"No, but it’s hard not to suspect you."
