"Go get me a few more coffees. No, just one is enough, and ask for a tray." He ushered Lai away.

Lai skeptically glanced at the enema-laced coffee. "This is totally not legal."

"Yeah and no one will suspect otherwise. Just go get the coffee please brother Lai~" he smiled up at him.

Lai pinched his cheeks hard. "You only call me brother when it’s convenient to you," saying this the man walked up to the coffee stand and got one more coffee cup and tray. "so, what is your plan? How are you going to make them drink it."

Eric was still rubbing his aching cheeks. "it’s very simple. Just watch and learn." he squatted down and subtly untied one of his shoelaces

They reached the corridor her the VIP wards were all lined up. Eric gestured for Lai to hide behind the walls while he walked up to the guards with a huge grin on his face. "Hi, today my grandma was finally able to beat cancer, so I’m giving everyone coffee. It’s not much... please have one." He held it up to them with an innocent smile.

The guards each took one. "Congratulations kid. Hope your grandma is all well and good."

Eric shed a few crocodile tears and thanked them. in order for them not to suspect him he had added another cup of coffee that was also laced with enema. Along the way, he spotted a nurse.

"Miss," he ran up to her and held up the tray. "Today my granny beat cancer. I’m giving everyone coffee to celebrate it."

The young nurse smiled widely. "Congratulations young man. its sweet of you," she picked it up and brought it to her mouth.

Eric subtly stepped up and intentionally stepped on his undone lace. he stumbled forward hitting her hand slightly, letting the warm coffee spill all over his scrubs. "Oh my god... I’m so sorry... I’m so sorry I dropped it..."

"it’s okay kid. It’s just coffee. I have another scrub with me. Now go along. Be with your grandmother," she gently smiled and walked away.

Eric awkwardly cleaned up the coffee spill on the floor with a tissue he had prepared. While doing so he subtly glanced at the two guards they both had accepted his coffee but didn’t drink it until he actually offered it to the nurse.

This lowered their vigilance.

Now they both had already gulped the small cup of coffee down and had placed the empty cup in their pockets.

Eric walked up to them. "You can give the empty cups. I can throw them in the trash for you."

The men gladly handed it to him.

Eric grinned subtly and walked away.

He had drugged them and collected the evidence. Even though they might suspect anything both the men would not be able to confirm it. there is a high chance that they might think it was food poisoning.

Lai held him aside with his eyes wide open. "Tell me, are you a con man?"

"No, why do you add new identity every time I do something? The next time I sneak into his room, you might call me a spy.’

Lai rolled his eyes. "cuz I don’t trust you like Haolei does. I don’t know what you said to him or did to him, but you can’t fool me. You are no simple young teenager., you are trained. That enema you got in hand can only be found in hospitals. I can easily arrest you for drugging them both." He pranced around, frustratingly pulling his hair. "Hell, you could have been sent by the Feng family to kill me or frame me...."

Eric peered into his eyes. The man was bluffing. Lai himself was not sure if he trusted what he just said was the truth or not. The cop wanted to fall for his trick and admitted his identity.

But who will do such a stupid thing?

Who will believe that he was actually a reborn soul who was a forty-year-old man?

Lai will definitely end him off to the loony bin.

So, Eric simply smiled and shook his head. "If that is what you are worried about... I can assure you I’m not going to hurt you or your friend."

"That’s the matter. How can I trust you drug-lacing young rat... child...."

Eric raised a brow. "Rat child. I’m texting Haolei."

"Don’t!" Lai plucked his phone. "God, I’m sorry I called you rat child. Please don’t tell him. He would kick my ass."

"Looks like authority scares you. Good to know," Eric plucked the phone back from his hand and waited silently.

After ten minutes, both the guards dashed away to the bathroom hurriedly, leaving the door unguarded.

Eric grinned and pulled Lai long to the room. Standing in front of the door, he felt a weird sense of anxiety. He a going to see his lover again. "How do I look?" he hurriedly set his fly away hairs.

"You look like a kid," Lai placed a hand on his head, making a mess of his hairstyle. "why do you want to look like those old cronies."

Eri gaped at him. "oh, my god, you evil man. you ruined my perfect image."

"Just go in before they come back." Lai pulled open the door and pushed Eric in.

The VIP ward hard two rooms. One was for the guards and waiting room, and another was for the patient.

"Quick, take a look at him from right here. Those two might return anytime." He nudged Eric.

But the kid seemed frozen.

"What is it?"

Eric peered at his lover through the glass wall. What he was seeing was completely unbelievable. His beloved was surrounded by a layer of golden light. He was like the sun emitting such a warm and bright light. But surrounding that light was a layer of black energy. It looked like it was suppressing that golden glow.

’yin energy... why is Yuri affected by yin energy?’ he hurriedly pushed the door opened and walked into his lover’s ward.

Yuri was connected to at least ten devices, each beeping in intervals. The doctor had inserted a breathing tube.

Eric held his breath looking at the state he was in. Suddenly his memory of his own hospital time came to his mind. he had been unconscious and sick for so long... all those days his Aaron had been beside him. Looking down at him just like he was.

His heart was aching so badly.

He gently held Yuri’s hand that was on the quilt. "I’m here now. You don’t have to stay asleep... my love, its time to wake up." he took out the vial of life-saving potion from his pocket.

"whoa whoa what is that? Are you planning on giving him an enema?! He will die if you do so." Lai rushed to him and held his hand holding the vial.

"it’s something that will help him," Eric tugged at his hand gently in fear he might drop the life-saving potion.

"I don’t believe I healing oils and voodoo shit. you can’t feed him that," Lai glared at him. "you’ve seen him now lest go before those guards return." he started to drag him away.

Eric set his leg firmly on the ground, refusing to move. Surprisingly, he was able to stay put even a though grown-up man was dragging him around.

Lai looked at him in complete shock. "Who are you... never mind you have to leave!"

"no! I have to feed him this!" Eric tugged at him.

Kai came flying towards him without any restraint.

Eric hurriedly dragged, letting Lai fall face-first to the ground.

"You didn’t just do that...." Lai got up, cracking his neck. "Come on, you’ve got some fight I you."

Eric sighed loudly. "I don’t have time for this." he reached out to his lover but Lai grabbed him and pulled him forcefully. He glared up at him. "stop that!"

He pushed Lai away, but accidentally Lai’s hand hit the vial in his and it dropped to the ground shattering to pieces.

Eric blankly gazed at it.

Lai too looked at it in shock. "I... I didn’t mean to do that..."

"it was the only way I could save him... it would take a day for him to put an order again and now... you’ve spoiled it... you’ve ruined it all..." the tears he had been holding back poured out uncontrollably down his face.

Lai panicked. "umm its just a golden liquid yean. Maybe we can soak it up with a cloth and fed him. It will work like that right,’

"Hospital floors are nastyyy...." Eric sobbed, going down to his knees. "You... you have to bring them here tomorrow as well. I will get another one of those."

"okay okay. Stop crying. I hear someone’s footsteps. we have got to go," he pulled him up and dragged him out.

Eric blankly glanced back. he did not know if it was his imagination or not. He saw that the black layer around bai Yuri had disappeared. Only the speckless, pure golden light surrounded his lover.

He looked ethereal and in peace.

"I’ll be back Yuri. Promise."

Lai hurriedly pulled him into the elevator and just as the doors closed, they saw the guards return hurriedly. "That was a close call..." he awkwardly wiped Eric’s face. "Stop crying. Are you a kid?"

"I’m fifteen..." Eric whimpered. Last night he had been devastated and had shed a few tears and now he full-on sobbing, leaving his eyes swollen red and inflamed.

"I’ll take you with me tomorrow. Just... just don’t feed him anything weird."
