Eric spent a bit more time with Bai planning his escape. The kid was able to guide him with good input but Eric had a feeling that Bai still didn’t understand the full scope of the problems. He still didn’t believe anything related to magic.

He sighed loudly. "Bai I’m not lying when I’m telling you this. That monk has magic powers. Like in fantasy dramas you watch. Yeah, like that. He is making me cultivate that as well. I bet I have powers too but he is not teaching me everything since he is going to kill me in three days." He grabbed a hold of his hand. "You have to trust me on this one."

Bai sighed as well. "it’s hard to believe. I’ve personally not seen magic or cultivators in my life,"

"Well, I have. And it’s real. Very much real. Everything I’m telling you is not a fiction of my imagination for sure." Eric leaned again his shoulders. "In fact in our last life, we had powers too. You were a superhero." he poked his biceps.

Bai looked at him skeptically. "And you were?"

"A villain. We fell in love. Its enemies to lover’s genre, Hehe." he giggled hugging his waist.

Bai didn’t push him away nor did he ask him anything about his previous life. He simply stared at the map he had drawn on the white ground. "What if you don’t find help outside the wall on time? what then?"

"I don’t know. Till now I have no clue what is outside the house. But there is bound to be a police precinct somewhere in that place. I can find it,"

Eric had planned on using some of the system marketplace items to find a way out of this mess. he knew that using too many coins will be a waste but this escape plan is related to his survival. He was not stingy in his spending.

"Yeah, I forget, the system has not given me a daily task or target task at all, I wonder why? I guess I should ask him about it,"

"Him? this system is a boy?" Bai raised a brow.

"yeah, my system. I bet he is a boy. He is using his system voice but with the way he talks he is for sure a boy. I bet he is in a trapped system space like me. Maybe if I can find a way to escape those men in black, I can find my system too. I will whack his ass a few times, but I will rescue him. He has been there when I was in deep trouble before. I am quite thankful for him for that," he whispered, laying with Bai’s sleeves.

"Think about yourself first. You need to get out of that house as fast as you can... if I was awake, I would have...." Bai held his head, frowning.

Hearing this Eric froze. "Bai... are you in a coma?"

Bai Yuri looked up at him with a small frown.

"What happened? Was it an accident? Were you hurt anywhere?"

Ba refused to answer him.

"You have to tell me only then would I be able to find a better solution to help you," he anxiously looked at his lover.

If Bai was in the same situation as him then the healing potion would not work.

Eric grabbed his hand tightly. "you don’t have cancer right? Please tell me you don’t. healing potion can’t heal it.... Please.."

"I don’t have cancer..."

"Then what do you have?"

"I don’t know. I just fell asleep one a and never woke up. I’ve been stuck here all the time. I’m not even sure if I’m alive..." Bai whispered and suddenly hugged him tightly. He nuzzled his head against his shoulders with a soft sigh. "that’s why I’m urging you to leave this place soon. I don’t know if you would get stuck in here too.... I don’t want that,"

Eric gently patted his back. "I assure you I can’t get stuck in here."

Even so, Bai wouldn’t stop shaking. He hugged him tightly, refusing to let go.

"Are you crying? Bai. Hey, are you seriously crying?"

He pulled away from him a bit to look at his face.

Bai was not crying but h was frowning deeply. His handsome face looked quite sad like this.

Eric smoothed out the wrinkles in between his brows. "don’t be scared. If you are just in a coma, I can easily help you. The only thing I can’t heal is cancer. That thing is very ferocious."

"First think about escaping that murderous place. We’ll talk about saving me later. Who knows, I could very well be dead for all I know..."

Pouting Eric leaned again I’m. "don’t say that! I’m escaping that place just for you. Bai... you might not know this but after I lost you I kind of lost myself. I didn’t want to live... it felt empty here," he touched his chest where his heart was beating loudly. "I didn’t know what to do.. I didn’t want to live after you. But that system said that I could meet you again. You give me hope." He looked up at his deep black eyes. "I live for you. So don’t talk of dying so easily...."

Bai cupped his face all of a sudden and squeezed his cheeks. "you should not live for others, you should learn to live for yourself."

"I don’t know think I can do that." When Bai wasn’t paying much attention, he leaned forward and pecked his lips. "You put a love spell on me.... So, take responsibility."

Bai all of a sudden started to blush. He pushed him away and hid his face. "annoying perverted guy..... who put a spell on you huh.... You are the one who...." He looked away, blushing deeply.

Eric playfully tugged at his ears. "Who are you calling a pervert huh? Look at me."

Bai surprisingly, let out a small laugh. "you’re the pervert....."

Eric playfully pinched his hands. "Come here. you deserve an ass whoop for calling me a pervert."

"If you can find catch me, that is," Bai shot up and ran away.

"Where are you running away? Bai better stop!" he ran after him.

They both played around until daybreak when he had to leave.

Bai anxiously peered at him. "You... you must be careful. That monk is a murderer. You mustn’t trigger him to muck. Got it? Your life is what matters the most. You must not play around with it. Promise me you will be safe,"

Eric just smiled up at him and hugged him.

He couldn’t promise him that.

Because he himself was unsure what was going to happen in the future.

A least in his last world he had a clue what the world was like and who the people he should be cautious about. but this world was completely new to him.

He did not have any spoilers that could give him a better understanding of what to do.

’I hope I live....’ He looked up at his lover who looked sick by the day. ’no I have to live. I have to save Bai.. I have to live through this and save him.....’

Their plan came through. Tomorrow was the day he was going to escape.

The next day when Eric woke up he was quite energized. He went through the same routine. Eating breakfast and going to cultivate with the monk.

All day he observed the man.

He didn’t look like he was suspicious of his intentions.

He only asked him to concentrate on his cultivation.

By the end of the day, he checked his cultivation level and grinned.

"you’re going to break through to their level.... This is good... very good," the monk grinned cheerfully and left the room.

Eric pretended to go to sleep while he waited for the right time.

In the middle of the night, he woke up with his dagger in hand. He slowly went forth to the door. Without a second of hesitation, he opened the latch that a locked outside. To his surprise, when he tried to walk out, he felt that invisible barrier there too.

’Fuck that monk is being careful. After all, I am getting ripe for eating. Eh wants to protect his food source very carefully.’

He slashed the barrier with his dagger and hurriedly went to the moon gate.

The ghost boy was waiting for him there. He walked through the gate and beckoned him to come out.

Eric hurriedly cut through the barrier and ran to the apple tree.

But before climbing, he glanced at the hand poking out. "Ghost boy, I’ll bring justice to your death. When I inform the police, they will deal with that man. So, hang in there. Hide in my room if you have to. Don’t get caught, okay?"

The ghost boy nodded.

Eric hurriedly climbed over to the top tree top and glanced out the walls.

For the first time, he was able to see the outside world.

This place is a small village without even access to street lights. But he could make out a road there.

’If there is a road there is bound to be a village. And in a village, I will find a police officer.’ He climbed over the wall ready to jump out.

Eric froze.

{Your first task has been issued.’}

"We’ll talk about that later."

{’no, this task will be difficult to complete once you leave here.’}

"Is this an appropriate time to give me a task?!! Fuck this, I’m leaving"

Eric gritted his teeth. "you fucker, I know you will fuck me up one day! Give me the fucking task!"
