Chapter 172: Chapter 172 - Operation done

The doctor who was brought to the country were all taken out by Zhu Kang when he went out for his mysterious outing. But thanks to that they all woke up sane and were able to diagnose his condition much faster.

To help with his operation Aaron went and created an actual surgery room and imprinted other MRI and Ct scan machined back home. This way they don’t have to leave the safety of their home.

Once again Kang was put through a lot of testing and scans.

By the end of it, he saw the ugly expression on the doctors and knew that his condition had worsened.

The team of doctors whispered to themselves and went to inform Aaron about the situation.

Zhu Kang tagged along behind them.

"you guys can take it loud. All this whispering behind my back is making me anxious,"

Aaron immediately ran to him and hugged him. "don’t be. It’s all good. This is doctor Spencer, he is especially specialized in neurosurgery and has completed a successful surgery on a patient who was in the same state as you."

The doctor Aaron introduced was a middle-aged man was a kind smile on his face. "Mister Zain jests. I’m not that great,"

Aaron suddenly glared at him. "so you’re lying? Was the report false?"

Spenser who was just trying to be modest was stunned silent. "I have experience in surgery like this, but mister Zain even I can’t assure you how successful this one is going to be. The tumor has grown exponentially compared to the report from two days ago. its impossible for such a thing to even happen. My past patient did not have a situation like this......" the man, Spencer’s confidence slowly went down.

Zhu Kang bit his lips in secret.

The doctor kept arguing what was the best time to get the surgery. One suggested that they would schedule the surgery five days later.

"I want to get this done fast. Can you guys do the surgery right now?"

The team of fifteen doctors was all stunned. "w-we will prepare for the surgery in ten minutes."

They all scrambled over to the secret room which was changed into a surgery room.

Zu Kang was administered some injections and was made to lay on the operation.

He was wheeled to the room.

On the way, he glanced at Aaron, Gwyn, and Altren who looked at him worriedly.

"Guys I will survive this. just stay strong, okay? eat... and sleep well. I will be back soon," he whispered kissing the back of Aaron’s hand.

Aaron leaned down and delicately kisses his lips. "I’ll be waiting. Come back to me, okay?’

"hmm..."

The doors of the secret room closed.

Kang’s eyes started to droop from the anesthesia he was administered with. Through dazed eyes, he saw blue and haze staying in the room.

This was so that they can protect him when he was mid-surgery. There was no assurance that the doctors won’t turn crazy again.

Zhu Kang closed his eyes. ’Is the task over? Will I... survive this?"

Right then, a beeping sound was heard.

Kang felt his heart lurch in fear.

{’Final task: save the world has been completed. The character named jake has been obliterated. Congratulations host, you have done a great job.

As a reward, you get to choose one out of two opinions.

1} reward of Five hundred coins~

2} remain in this world until the end of your life.}

Kang was stuck in a dazed state. ’Can I choose later?’

{’option has to be made in twenty seconds. Or else the host’s soul will be reaped.’

’fuck you...... Kang took in a deep breath. The second option sounds promising but there was something wrong with that sentence. it only said he could stay in this world for the end of his life.

’What if the end of my life is today? I would have chosen the losing deal... five hundred coins sound so promising...’

But the thought of Aaron and Gwyn’s anxious faces flashed in his mind.

Without a thought, he chose the second option. "I’ll stay back."

"What?" the doctor leaned close. "Did you say something?"

Kang just smiled and held his hand tremblingly. "You better help me live doctor.... Let me be the winner in life..."

Chuckling the doctor patted his hand. "I will make sure you live. But... as for your legs... you know, right?"

"I don’t care, I just want to live. Help me,"

"I will..."

Kang’s eyes closed in peace after that.

He was shrouded in darkness. and in that darkness, he spotted a tall figure with shiny black hair. The man looked back and opened his arm wide open.

Zhu Kang took off running to him in a hurry. Even he didn’t know why he was running towards an unknown man.

But when he was about to get close to him, the man pushed him away. "You have to wake up eric. Everyone is waiting for you. I’ll see you soon."

Kang opened his eyes. the bright overhead lighting from the ceiling hit his eyes, making him flinch slightly.

"Dim down the lights!" someone whispered in a hurry.

"It doesn’t work that way!" another person answered.

Then a short of electric spark happened and the light above his face went out.

Kang opened his eyes fully to see Altren and Aaron sitting by his bedside arguing. Gwyn was beside his legs silently cutting an apple into cute rabbit shapes.

’so, I didn’t die... for a second there I thought I had gone to heaven... thank god I came back.’ He groaned slightly.

His throat was dry as a Savana.

"Zhu!" Aaron came close, holding his hand gently. "How are you feeling? Any pain?"

He shook his head but a slight pain at the back of his head stopped him.

"You mustn’t move your head like that. do you need anything? Water? Ice?"

"Water," he said in a hoarse tone.

"I’ll get some." Aaron ran to the metal door but paused. "Hot or cold? Or lukewarm. How should the patient drink water? Hey doctor! Tell me now! hot or cold or lukewarm!!!"

Poor Spencer was lifted up like a rag doll and shaken up like a salt shaker.

Seeing this hilarious scene Kang let out a small chuckle. "Just bring me normal tap water..." he whispered touching his throat. "Was the surgery successful?"

"it was, but your leg..." Gwyn touched his legs which were covered in a thick blanket. "Do you feel anything?"

Regretfully he did not feel anything from that leg.

He sighed. ’anyway, I am alive. That’s all that matters. If I can’t walk, I’ll just fly,’

Flying doesn’t require using his legs. it’s like ejecting power from his whole body. It’s easy to fly rather than walk.

He made a resolve in his heart to fly from now on instead of sitting in a wheelchair.

"its okay," he reached out and touched his brother’s hand. "I lived. That’s all that matters,"

Aaron came running back with three glasses of water. One with ice shards, one lukewarm and one hot.

Chuckling Kang picked out the lukewarm One and drank out of it.

As he lifted his head slightly, he felt a slight numbing feeling pass through his body. His head felt lighter than before.

"Did they scrape off my brain along with that tumor?" he jokingly whispered. "I feel so light,"

Aaron leaned down and hurriedly kissed his lips. "Nothing like that. they took it out."

"Can I see it?"

Altren shook his head with a look of horror. "I don’t think you should see that,"

"Why not?"

"it was disgusting."

"Come on, it’s just flesh." Kang sat up with the help of Aaron.

"But it didn’t look good,"

Gwyn hit the back of Altren’s head. "shut up. Zhuzhu, are you feeling hungry? I will get you some sandwich,"

"he can’t eat anything solid right now. you can drink the soup I made," Aaron offered with a kind smile.

Kang shook his head slightly. "I just feel sleepy. I’ll eat later. You guys must rest. You all look like zombies," he touched Aaron’s black circles.

Aaron just smiled dazzlingly. "it’s okay. we will be fine. you should rest..." he placed a hand on his eyes.

Kang smilingly closed his eyes and fell asleep

The next few times he woke up was all a blur. He couldn’t keep his eyes open for along. he would chat with Aaron and the others for a while.

After ten days he was finally able to get up and do his pee and potty duty with dignity.

For a few days, he had been wearing a catheter and a wire attached to his body. It was so embarrassing and annoying!

But now he was free.

Not that free. He was not able to walk around.

All he could do was fly about.

Aaron had brought a fancy wheelchair that he could control with a remote but Kang hated it at sight.

That abhorrent thing was abandoned the first day it was seen.
