Zhu Kang held tightly onto his consciousness. He gripped Aaron’s neck. "I can’t just leave. we have to kill him. he can’t live..."

"shh, we need to get you to the doctor immediately! you are bleeding out Zhu......" Aaron whispered with tears in his eyes.

"I won’t die that easily," Kang whispered, nuzzling into his body.

The searing pain in his head returned once again.

Everything in front of his eyes was blurry.

His legs were tingly.

Zhu Kang tried to move his toes, but it wasn’t moving. his legs.... They were not responding well

Eyes wide open, he glanced down at his legs.

Seeing his weird state, Aaron gently cupped his face. "What is it?"

"I... can’t move my legs well...." He looked up at him in shock.

"Shit the doctors said this will happen." He rushed back home, but at the gate he paused.

A black-cloaked man stood there like he was waiting for them.

He had heard from Altren that this man was a mysterious being.

Seeing him arrive home, the mysterious black-cloaked man threw open the gate and walked in.

Kai seems very familiar with their home as well. he walked over to his and Kang’s room directly.

"Place him on the bed," he gestured to Kang.

Zhu Kang peered at the black-cloaked figure vigilantly. ’Who is this? another snakehead member?’

"He is a healer. He healed your wounds in the past," Aaron assured him and placed him on the bed.

Even so, he had his guard up. if in case this man ended up being like those crazy people outside, he needed to deal with him instantly.

the black-cloaked man gently touched Zhu Kang’s cheeks.

Aaron visibly saw his finger trembling. ’Who is this person? Why does he care so much about Zhu? Is he like that ruth as well?’ his vigilance went up a notch. His lover was being coveted by so many men. It kind of made him insecure.

"Can you cure him?"

The black-cloaked man without a word walked over to the bedside cabinet and took out the golden liquid Zhu had given him,

"Wait that is...." Zhu gave it to him.

"This can heal his wounds." The mysterious man named Kai assured him.

Zhu Kang curiously looked at this man. "Kai, right? How do you know about that?"

"I just know," the man whispered and held out his hand. "Where is the pink quartz crystal?"

Zhu Kang took it out of his pocket and handed it over to him. "’how do you know so much? Are you like me? or are you like jake?" he vigilantly peered at him.

The black-cloaked man’s pixelated face looked at him silently. "I have no intention to harm you. I’m... I’m here to heal you." he broke the crystal into a fine powder with just a fist and poured it into the small vial.

The golden liquid mixed in with the pink crystal created a beautiful sword.

Kang watched all this with his eyes wide open. ’this man knows that the quartz crystal can negate the side effects of the life-saving potion. Who the fuck is he?’

The man held the vial to his mouth/

Kang garbed his muscular wrist. "Was it you who healed me in that car accident?"

System had mentioned that someone had interfered and healed him. He couldn’t think of anyone else suspicious other than this man.

Kai nodded. "I did. And I’m sorry that it caused you so much trouble. I was impulsive and intervened,"

Zhu Kang drank the vial of liquid and peered at the man. ’System... hey?’

He only then realized that the stupid system was sleeping again,

Sighing, he peered up at him. "You caused the tumor?"

"The world did. But I indirectly caused it" the man did not refute at all.

Aaron marched up to him and grabbed his cloak. "You made him sick?"

"I was only trying to help."

"Well, he is sick because of you!"

Zhu waited until his bullet wounds were healed before he intervened. He grabbed a hold of Aaron’s hand. "He was only trying to heal me... nothing else. Don’t direct your anger at him."

"But this man could have intentionally hurt you."

Zhu Kang looked at Kai. He did not get that malicious feeling from him. instead, his kind gestures and his trembling hand only showed that this man cared for him very much.

"ii don’t think he will harm me,"

Aaron gritted his teeth and let go of him. "You better heal him,"

Kai looked at Zhu Kang with a deep sigh. "His tumor is not something I can heal. Only operation can deal with it. in fact, I fear that his tumor could have become much more dangerous after having that potion,"

Zhu Kang tightly clenched the bed sheet around him. the system had given the same warning. "Can I survive the surgery?"

He looked at him intently. "Aaron, can you bring me a glass of water, please,"

Aaron took the jug from the bedside and poured him some.

Smiling, Zhu Kang took it from him. "oh... can I have some warm water, please. And I feel hungry too..." he sheepishly grinned.

"I’ll make you something." Aaron hesitantly looked at the man.

"don’t worry, he won’t hurt me. I am very safe with him,"

Kai nodded as well.

Only after that did Aaron leave the room.

"Zhu Kang," he whispered softly and lovingly.

"My real name."

Kai paused.

"we are friends, aren’t we?"

"Eric," Kai stepped-up close again and hugged him tightly.

The moment Zhu Kang heard that name he felt his whole-body freeze. his heart started to pound loudly on his chest.

’That name... its making me react like that...’ he grabbed his shoulders and pushed him away. "Who are you, Kai? Where are you from?"

Kai simply did not reply.

"Tell me, where am I from? Is my real name... ... are you lying to me... did I die? I... I don’t know how I came about living like this. tell me... do you know?" he desperately gripped his shoulders.

Kai sighed. "I’m not allowed to tell you. the world doesn’t allow me to. Eric, you will know in the future. Just be patient. I will be there with you,"

Zhu Kang shook his head. "Why not! What is the world crap you go on and on about! tell me. who am I!!"

"My one true love," Kai slowly started to disappear from right in front of his eyes.

It was like he never existed in the first place.

Aaron came rushing inside and lifted him up. "Zhu..."

"Aaron, can we call him back! I need to ask him something. He knows me Aaron! He knows me...." he touched his pounding chest. "my name is Eric.... Its Eric... not Zhu Kang.... its Eric..." tears started to drip down his cheeks.

Aaron gently hugged him to his body. "Eric. Yes, you are Eric."

Zhu Kang looked at his face. Weirdly so the tone in which Aaron called his name sounded so similar to Kai. It gave him a weird feeling of familiarity. "aren’t you going to ask me about it...."

Aaron kissed his lips gently. "Whoever you are, I don’t care. You are my Zhu, my Eric..."

Kang let out a small sob. "yes... I’m your Eric... I’m Eric... it’s a weird name. it’s short though. Wonder if I have a sur name."

"it’s a very sweet name." Aaron embraced him.

Inside, he had so many questions. But he did not say them out loud. From the first moment, he met Zhu Kang he knew he was the one for him. but when he did background research on him, he found out the Zhu Kang he fell for and the Zhu Kang before meeting him had totally different personalities.

It gave him a weird feeling.

He tightly hugged him.

’what if one day... the real Zhu Kang comes back... what then. What I’ll I do...’

Zhu Kang wiped his tears away and looked up at his face. "don’t tell Gwyn about it please."

"I won’t, I won’t tell anyone"

Zhu Kang nodded sniffling. "In this world, I am just Zhu Kang.... but my real name is Eric. Nice to meet you, Aaron,"
