A hand gently cupped his chin and raised his face up, making him gaze at his handsome face.

"Look at my eyes, admire me. Not your hand. I’m slightly jealous of your scales now," Aaron pouted like a cute little child.

Chuckling Kang kissed his plump lips. "you’re starting to get petty as days pass my darling,"

"of course, I’m very possessive of my dear fiancé," Aaron grabbed his waist tightly and pulled him flush onto his body. "every day I wake up next to you seems like a miracle. I love and cherish it so much my Zhu... no Eric."

Zhu Kang felt his whole-body tremble with lust just hearing him call his name he rolled over and supported himself on his waist with a hand on his shoulders. "God, you make so so horny with just a word."

Right then the creaking sound of the door echoed in the dark space. Aaron instantly covered Zhu Kang in the bed sheet and glanced back.

A little figure stood by the door.

"what is it?" Zhu Kang pulled his bed sheet down and glanced at the door. "Lia dear. What is it?"

The little dark-haired boy ran to him and jumped into the bed clinging to Zhu Kang.

"whoa there. You can’t hug your dad like that. He is still healing from his wounds,"

"father hugged him like that. I can too," Lia bravely refuted him and hugged Zhu Kang’s waist. "dad... I had a nightmare."

Zhu Kang looked at him in pity. The poor child has been tortured so much at such a delicate age. Even though he was rescued he still had residual trauma/. Like the original Zhu Kang too had nightmares day in and day out.

He couldn’t continue the story after that. He slightly regretted even suggesting to tell a story for him. In his mind, he reminded himself to buy a few more storybooks just for little kids.

Lia looked up at him through his shimmering black eyes. "I love it~ I want to be such a hero~" he hugged him tightly.

Zu Kang glanced at Lia. He was surprisingly very easy to satisfy. With a proud look on his face, he nudged Aaron. "our boy is so sweet."

"he is." Aaron reached out and picked him up. "your dad has to get dressed now. Why don’t you come with me to the kitchen? we’ll make some sweet pancakes you like,"

Lia hesitantly looked at Zhu Kang.

The young child agreed with Aaron and left with him.

Zhu Kang got the chance to change out of his clothes and came out. It was the middle of the night and the father and child were making pancakes in eth kitchen. It was such a sight to behold.

He loved every moment of it.

"come sit down," Aaron hurriedly pulled out a chair for him.

Signing Zhu Kang sat down. "I’m not delicate. I can fly for a very long time. You know that right?" he moved around shaking his limp legs. "its not so bad at all, really. I don’t feel tired at all,"

He said with a small smile.

Aaron did not say anything else. he knew that his fiancé was lying. Using powers constantly will be taxing on one’s body. Especially since Zhu Kang had gone through a surgery. He didn’t want him to strain himself so he had even brought a mechanically controlled wheelchair.

But it was rudely tossed it out of the house.

He placed the hot pancakes in two places and handed one to each. "maple syrup of chocolate syrup?"

As for Lia he shyly whispered for chocolate to be drizzled on.

They ate mid night breakfast and next to bed as a family.

The next morning, they followed the same schedule. Aaron woke up and massaged his legs and then went to make food. Lia had his own physiatrist visits scheduled every day. He was reluctant at first but Zhu Kang had been stern at it.

As for Altren and Gwyn.. they were off to the office.
