"hold the wheel," he gestured for his brother to take the wheel and glanced back.

Altren was flying behind them. Upon keen look, he noticed that the hero’s eyes were starting to lose their clarity. "I don’t think he is completely back to normal."

"What?" Gwyn glanced back in shock. "He responds well to my voice. What happened now?"

"Responds?"

"Day before yesterday I found out something interesting. I heard from your boyfriend that Altren was slightly crazy. But when I talked to him, he started to talk to me normally. But right after I left his side, he started to go crazy again. The only conclusion is that Altren is somehow responding to my voice subconsciously. Even now when I got close to, he could have easily zapped me with his mega voltage electric power but he didn’t. he was quite complacent,"

Zhu Kang looked at his brother worriedly. "Even if that was true, you mustn’t act recklessly. Altren is still a very powerful hero. We shouldn’t just act on impulse."

A huge lightning bolt hit the back of this car.

Altren had already gone back to his unresponsive state. His blank blue eyes looked expressionlessly at their car.

Gwyn grinned slightly. "Maybe I should kiss him again. One kiss gave us at least two minutes of down time, right? What if I kiss him for ten?" he mumbled to himself.

"You are doing no such thing." He held the pink crystal from the system market place tightly. "This thing, did you feed it to him correctly?’

"Yeah, it melted in my mouth."

"Wait you didn’t pass it on to him?"

Gwyn grinned sheepishly. "I ate a bit of it, I’m pretty sure Altren had his share when I licked his tongue. I’m pretty sure I made him drink it.,"’

Kang froze. the bizarre image of Altren kissing Gwyn came to his mind. He shook his head, shaking away that disgusting image that came to mind. "I don’t want to imagine that!"

He gripped the steering wheel as he drove along a busy road.

’System Why didn’t the rose quartz thing work?’

{’it can only deal with physiological issues. Altren is being controlled by a love potion and a hypnosis powder. The crystal has dissolved the love potion’s effects but the effect of the hypnosis still remains."}

"Darn it," Kang slammed the steering wheel. ’What else can I do?’

Saying this, the system disappeared from his mind with a small beep.

Zhu Kang gritted his teeth. ’When I need him, he disappears. This fucking system..’

Gwyn curiously looked at the crystal. He tapped on it. "Where did you get this rock candy? It tastes pretty good," he licked his lips.

"It cost a fortune, my dear brother. you can’t eat it now. it has its purpose."

Gwyn looked at him with an unknown look in his eyes. "What about that watch? Where did you get it?’

"a kind friend lent me this. it can work for another ten seconds."

Altren flew over to the side of the car. A huge electric bolt fell on their way.

Kang did not have the time to dodge it. it landed on Gwyn’s side of the car. He didn’t even have the time to reach for the hand watch.

"Gwyn!" he pulled him over to his side.

But the force of the attack flipped their car onto its side. The car uncontrollably rolled around.

Kang, who did not wear his seat belt, rolled around uncontrollably.

He was left completely disoriented. Red covered his vision.

The cracked windshield came into his sight.

Kang hurriedly wiped his eyes. "G-Gwyn..." he desperately held out his hands to search for his more familiar figure.

"I’m here. Kang... Kang... you’re bleeding!" his brother’s desperate voice called out to him.

"I... I’m fine... its just a skin.. wound," he touched the back of his head.

The sharp pain almost rendered him unconscious.

Shaking his head, he blinked his eyes rapidly.

"we... we have to leave..."

A huge bang was heard in front of the car.

Through the broken windshield glass, he saw the familiar figure walking up to them.

"no...no Gwyn.. run. Get out." he desperately tried his best to push Gwyn out.

Gwyn held his hand. "I’ll deal with this. just.. just hang on. I’ll get you help...."

A loud sound was heard.

After that, Kang couldn’t hear much. He was quickly losing blood. Along with it, his consciousness was slipping.

’this can’t go on... Gwyn.. he is at risk. I have to get up.. I have to get up....’ he clenched his loose fist. ’I have to live. I have to save him!’

Suddenly, he felt a burning sensation on the back of his head. the weak feeling slowly disappeared from his body.

He was regaining a bit of his strength.

The first thing he did was crawl out of the shattered door on the passenger side. He did not recklessly call out to his brother in case it might disturb him.

Instead, he sat by the side of the broken car and adjusted his body first.

He wiped the blood from his eyes with his shirt. Then he tore it and tied it to his head, but to his surprise, he couldn’t find any wound there.

For a second, it made him wonder if he was hallucinating.

’I was definitely bleeding...?’

the bleeding wound was not there any longer.

It had disappeared.

’I don’t have time to care about this!’ he flexed his fists.

Shiny blue-green scales started to cover his whole body. He also felt that familiar heated feeling on his forehead. Reaching out, he touched a large horn there.

Kang froze. ’I have a horn... wow...’

A sudden sound of battle distributed his thoughts.

the whole sky sparkled with lightning and thunder flashing across the dark clouds.

Without a second’s delay, he crawled out of his hiding spot.

Gwyn’s battle with Altren was much too intense. he could barely keep up with their movement with his bare eyes.

Zhu Kang held out his hand. but nothing happened. his flames did not react to his call. his powers were not reacting at all.

he froze.

Aaron had warned him once that when a superhero is distressed physically or mentally, they can sometimes lose control of their power. some would explode and some would simply lose their powers for a short while.

Kang, for a second, did not know what to do. He simply looked up at them like a child looking at their parents fighting. He felt helpless. ’What should I do....’

He stood there and observed their fight.

Altren’s moves were robotic. his muscles were stiff every time he launched an attack on Gwyn. It was as if his body was fighting for control.

Everything his brother said ran through his mind. ’I can use this.’

Just as Altren was about to launch another attack at his brother, He rushed close to their earshot and shouted, "Gwyn loves another guy!"

He visibly noticed Altren’s hand pause for a second. His blond lashes trembled.

’I got a reaction! If I can successfully pull out the real Altren’s consciousness he can break the control!’

Zhu Kang glanced at his brother and winked. "Gwyn, you have another guy, right? Of course, that stupid Altren did not satisfy you. I told you to move on long back."

Altren clenched his jaw.

"ZhuZhu, what are you doing up? go lay down. head injury patient must not move! You have to rest! Wait!"

Zhu Kang winked at him rapidly. ’Come on, play along, brother. I know you understand my cue. Just play along. Let’s get this done with,’

"Yes, I liked Altren, but that guy turned into a lunatic and almost killed my brother! ZhuZhu, we shall leave soon, Even.. even if I have to kill him." Gwyn gritted his teeth.

This time as well, Altren had a reaction. His stiff muscles relaxed for a second. The man’s pupils widened ever so slightly.

’oh shit brother, you are using this tactic badly,’

But that worked to their benefit. The fight came to a standstill.

Altren was not in a fighting posture. he was simply blankly glancing at the ground, unmoving. He looked was internally struggling. The man’s pinky finger twitched slightly. Slowly, he loosened his clenched fist.

’Now is the time to give out the final blow,’

"Altren is not that bad. you love Altren, don’t your brother?" Kang tightly clenched the life-saving potion in hand. if anything went wrong, he can easily save his brother.

But he hoped that it won’t come to that level.

Gwyn smiled at Altren. "I love him." he took a step close to him. "I like his goofy grin.. I love it when he follows me around like a lost puppy..." his brother’s expression softened. The corners of his eyes turned red. "I love you Altren... you.. you can break out of this,"

He walked impossibly close to Altren.

Gwyn stepped close to him and cupped his face. "don’t you want to know the answer to your question? I love you. I love you so much that it hurts to see you like this. you are the Altren! Snap out of their control. Come back to me."

Altren’s trembling hand reached out to him.

Gwyn let out a small chuckle and wiped his eyes. "I know you can do this." he held his hand and kissed his palm softly.

The next second, his eyes widened slightly. a searing pain came from his stomach.

In disbelief, he looked down.

A sharp, jagged piece of a metal pole was poking out of his body.

"alt..." he held his shoulder, trying to steady himself.

He right then saw it

Altren’s face was covered in tears.

"Gwyn!!!!!!" a loud scream was the last thing he heard before he lost consciousness.
