The past events had been clearly displayed to Zhu Kang. The kang twins had never always been a villain. They chose this way to quickly get out of debt and live freely. But that plan backfired. They did not make that much money out of villainy, but they were happy.

He actually saw the young Zhu crack a smile now and then. It was such a relieving thing to see.

The flashbacks become much more disorganized. It started to move faster in time.

Now both young Zhu and his brother had grown up to be the man he knew. They both had matured yet still had that boyish look on their faces.

They would shop together, do everything together,

He even unfortunately witnessed one of their ruts. It was... intense.

Zhu Kang blushed red. ’really a flame thrower... can’t believe I would have to experience that,’ he sat on the floor on the main hall watching tv. The sofa he loved had not been brought into the house yet. He simply laid on the ground watching the cracked ceiling.

Suddenly, he heard a small sound to his right. He got up and walked into the kitchen. From that window, he could directly watch the street. Right under a street light, he noticed a young man dressed in a flashy white outfit.

Of course, he recognized him. it was Altren in his superhero outfit dressed as alta.

’What is this guy doing here?’

He watched the young Altren prance in front of the door anxiously.

"Wait a minute. Is this stalker Altren’s origin story?" giggling he watched the young hero prance around nervously.

Altren even went ahead and tried to press the calling bell but chickened out at the last moment.

"hehehe why are you acting like a creep huh Altren? Just come in and introduce yourself if you have the guts. watch how my brother will smack the bad habits out of you," he shouted his way.

Altren, of course, could not hear him at all. he just blushingly watched the door and left.

This was not a one-time thing. It kept repeated so many days. The whole flashback was filled with this stupid guy hovering on the front porch. To be honest, by this point, he only felt pity for this cowardly fellow.

If he really liked his brother, he would has just approached him one way or another but this lovesick puppy resigned to just watching his brother from the shadows.

In this interval, young Zhu got into the college. he opted to stay in the dorms so that he can secretly work part time. The parts about the leveling debt were still unknown to his brother. It was discussed with ruth though.

Ruth offered to pay him. but young Zhu refused him coldly. He said it was his responsibility to fulfill. only he would send money to snakehead to pay off his debt. He was very punctual in his payments.

Zhu Kang was slightly happy seeing the young Zhu grow up to be a responsible man.

Of course, they did steal now and then. Like that jewelry shop robbery that Zhu Kang frost attempted when he arrived in this world. it was not a huge success but young Zhu and Gwyn managed to snag a few jewels.

After that, they didn’t d any villainous acts anymore.

Gwyn had cleaned up his act too, while doing the villainous acts he started to work in a nearby café. He was paid quite well.

Altren being the crepey pervert, approached him in the café and wooed him. his naive brother fell for his charm and they started dating.

But an accident happened. One of the patrons in the café accused his brother of stealing his wallet and Gwyn was arrested at the spot.

Zhu Kang frowned watching these new scenes. This had not happened in his lifetime.

Young Zhu paid to get his brother out of jail. Because of that, he was not able to pay the snakeheads on time.

The group that came to collect money blackmailed young Zhu into joining their bank robbery.

The three snakehead members used young Zhu as a meat shield and escaped the place.

Watching this Zhu Kang felt his whole soul chill down. he felt sick again.

Young Zhu managed to escape Aaron’s pursuit and ended up crawling back to their empty house. He laid on the ground, panting.

Blood gushed out of the gaping hole in his stomach.

"oh god.... No no... this is not happening. You can’t die. You weren’t meant to die. You weren’t meant to do, young Zhu. Get up. Get to a hospital!!" he anxiously tried to lift him up. "why can’t I touch you! system! Do something, let me help him.. please.. I can’t watch this..."

No amount of crying and wailing helped.

The young Zhu.. bled out and died in front of his eyes.

"He died... he actually died..." Zhu Kang broke down mentally. The things that were happening were out of his control. the young child he watched grow... became a lifeless corpse in a matter of ten minutes.

"This can’t be happening. This is not happening...." He mumbled hugging his knees.

He felt dazed... and dizzy. Squatting down in the corner he simply peered at young Zhu’s lifeless eyes.

The sound of doors creaking woke him up.

"Zhuzhu I got you your favorite wontons. Its all yours I won’t steal like last time," Gwyn’s cheerful voice came from the doorway.

Zhu Kang hurriedly shot up and ran to him. he stood in his way. "don’t go in... don’t go in brother. Please.. go back. Leve... don’t look at him like this."

No amount of begging helped.

He watched helplessly as Gwyn walked into the house. The man froze. "Zhuzhu!!" he hurriedly picked up the cold dead body in his arms. "why are you.. what.. what happened...." He put pressure on his wounds. "It will be fine. brother is here. I will take you to the hospital."

like a crazy person, he ran out with the corpse in his arms.

The doctors confirmed the facts.

Young Zhu Kang was dead.

"its not true! He is not dead. Do something! Save him! save my brother!" Gwyn lifted the young doctor by his collar.

the others rushed to restrain him to prevent any Havok.

"no!!!! he is not dead!! He.... He can’t be dead... my brother/.. he is alive... he is alive...." He whimpered.

Zhu Kang could not watch this any longer. he closed his eyes and closed his ears. "this is not real. it’s not real. It’s just a dream. It’s just a dream... I can’t... I can’t watch this. I can’t watch anymore...."

He refused to open his eyes even when he heard the sound of fighting. He could smell the distinct smell of blood around him.

"no... this is not real. It’s all an illusion. It’s all an illusion..." he mumbled, shaking to and fro.

"you bastard! You killed him! you killed my brother!!!!!" Gwyn’s raging scream echoed in his ears..

Slowly, Zhu Kang opened his eyes. in front of him was a scene of complete chaos. His brother was in his beast form. His skin was covered in red scales. A long horn grew on top of his head. He was flying around attacking Aaron with his flames.

"You killed him!!! I will kill you, you bastard!!!"

Zhu Kang gasped. "No way... brother you can’t kill him... it was an accident. Don’t hurt him..."

He watched as his brother pin down Aaron

That moment froze. everything seemed like it was on slow-mo. Zhu Kang could not look away.

Gwyn tore his horn off his forehead and stabbed Aaron in the chest.

"NOOOO!!!! Noo... Aaron!! No..." Zhu Kang hugged his chilling body on the ground. "wake up.. Aaron, wake up. you can’t just die like that. you are strong. You can wake up. You can survive this," he tenderly touched his pale face with his trembling hand. "please....."

But it was all useless.

Aaron’s vibrant blue eyes went dull.

His lover died.

Zhu Kang just hugged him tightly. He laid on the ground next to him. "This is not real at all. My Aaron won’t be killed so easily. He will fight back. He is strong.. he is strong..." a small sob escaped his mouth. He burrowed his face in his hands and sobbed loudly. "why is this dream so cruel.. why... I didn’t ask for this.."

Soon, the scene changed. The sunlight sky changed into gloomy winter clouds. Snow fluttered down. right above him, he spotted heros fighting ferociously.

He could definitely spot his brother’s familiar red-scaled body shimmering in the blunt light. As for who he as fighting.....

He was fighting Altren.
