Zhu Kang froze, feeling his heated breath on his face. it made him shiver with disgust. He so wanted to punch his face right now. But that bomb threat stopped his trembling hands.

’I have to deal with this guy another way... maybe ii should play along,’ he reached out and held his hand delicately. "Ruth..."

He watched the man’s expression shift drastically. He looked elated. "Kang. do you remember me? did you remember something?" he cheerfully garbed both his hand.

Kang also held his hand. "I don’t remember but I get the feeling I really like you... but you were not like this before. Why did you become so.. scary,"

Ruth gently kissed his hand. "were you scared of me? don’t be Kang I love you so much. Don’t be scared."

Zhu Kang gritted his teeth. He had to hold back the feeling to wipe his hands clean. "I’m not scared but that bomb..." he took his hand and placed it on his chest. "do you feel? it my heart is racing.. I don’t like that feeling. I... I don’t want to hurt people Ruth. You know that. It’s why I leave snakehead. I thought you knew that,"

"I know! I know you are a kind person." Ruth hugged his waist and pulled him up like a teddy bear. "that’s why you got cheated by that man so easily. Don’t worry, with me, you will be safe and sound. We will live happily ever after.

Kang froze.

’God, this psycho keeps repeating the same thing. he is completely obsessed!’

He looked down at him with a sorrowful face. "The bomb?"

"It will be automatically deactivated as soon as we reach our destination." He smiled so kindly that Kang was stunned for a second.

’This man relay planned it out. He set the bomb and made sure that I would come with him.’

He did not let go of the topic, though. He tugged at his collar. "But the timer said that there were only ten minutes left."

Ruth grinned. "yeah, we have to reach our new home by then. That’s why you must cooperate my dear~"

It was an invisible threat. If they got delayed the bomb will blow the college off.

Kang wanted to simply punch this man and run. He too was a superhero and his training with Aaron was all imprinted in his mind. but if he acted now, he could end up hurting a lot of people.

’Wait I’m a superhero too. why am I being complacent? I have ten minutes I can easily find someone to destroy the bomb by that time! Am I fucking brainless? Why did I waste so much time!’

His smiling eyes changed instantly.

Ruth noticed this. "You look good even when you glare at me,"

Kang lifted his arm to punch his face to a pulp. But all of a sudden, his arms went weak. his limbs felt like frozen ice cubes. ’oh fuck, this familiar feeling. it’s my rut!! why did I get my rut at this time...’

He felt limp on his body.

Ruth chuckled happily. "I knew you will choose me. I knew it," he lifted him and carried him away.

All the while Kang was struggling to control his body. ’Gwyn! You never mentioned that I would go limp, you ass! Why did you ignore such an important detail!!’

Ruth dug through his pocket and pulled out his phone. "we won’t be needing this anymore," he tossed it to the side.

In just a second they both disappeared into the smoke without leaving a trace.

At the same time, Blue had noticed a weird thing going on in the classroom. After everyone left the class, He entered to check on it. the gift-wrapped box was still on the table.

He made a swift call to Aaron as he unwrapped it.

Inside was a huge pink heart with a countdown. He checked the wiring. They were all connected to nothing. "it’s not a real bomb."

The call didn’t connect at all. That itself was a very weird thing. Aaron might be a busy man but he would always pick up his phone. Always.

He checked the nearby cell reception. On his phone, a small pop-up message appeared that all the nearby signal has been blocked.

"Shit," he tossed the fake bomb out and rushed out. Aaron’s lover was being dragged by another guy.

He subtly moved through the shadows and looked around. he couldn’t even find a trace of Kang anywhere near him.

"oh, I fucked up," he hurriedly teleported back to Aaron’s place.

The two superheroes were still trying to figure out who the mind controller was, busily.

"guys....."

Aaron looked at him with a frown. "What are you doing here? you were supposed to be protecting Kang,"

"About that.... he is missing."

"WHAT! What do you mean missing?" He grabbed him by his collar and lifted him up like a straw doll.

Haze hurriedly rushed out and patted his arm. "Calm down. Blue, what was Kang’s last location? I can see if I can track him through any of the cameras,"

Taking a deep breath Aaron let go of Blue.

"In his classroom. Everything was normal until he got a gift. Kang opened it, panicked and ran with another guy,"

"What was in it!" Aaron hurriedly shouted.

"a fake bomb," Blue sighed. "I went out to search for them but they were no where to be seen,"

"Did you check the classrooms?" Haze mumbled as he hurriedly typed in his computer.

"I did. I checked every nook and cranny. he was not there," Blue peered at Aaron. "I’m so sorry. It was my negligence..."

Aaron started to prance around like a caged beast. "Haze did you find anything?"

"Just a second,"

"Hurry up!"

"Mister zain my superpower is just altering memories and reading minds. Hacking is my hobby. I can only do it as fast as a human can," he hacked into the college’s surveillance systems and started to watch through the feed.

Aaron lost his patience. "I’ll go check his classes,"

"wait I see him here," Haze pulled Aaron’s pants. In the video Kang was seen running with a guy. "looks like your guy eloped."

"that’s Ruth!" Aaron clenched his fist and gritted his teeth so loudly. "I told you to keep him away from him!" he glared back at Blue,

Blue held out his hand in defeat. "You only mentioned his name. I don’t know what he looks like,"

"that’s a shitty reason Blue!"

Haze kind of shrugged. "its kind of reasonably. How will he know who this Ruth is? look, your lover is just probably in the bathroom or somewhere around the campus..."

The videos started to glitch and boom. It was gone.

Haze typed rapidly but he couldn’t restore the feed.

The room went silent.

"He might be in the toilet taking the biggest dump of his life..." Haze hopefully looked up at his friend.

"He is gone!! Kang is missing you...." Aaron let out a loud growl and dashed out the door.

"don’t do anything reckless! Hey wear your super suit!!’ Haze hurriedly picked up the suit that was on the table and ran after him.

Blue was left behind in the room looking at the monitor and looking after Altren. He rewided the video back to the feed of when Kang was in class.

He noticed that the Ruth guy was looking at Kang with a weird look on his face. he was the one who actually gave the present to another student and gestured to Kang. a hundred dollar bill was shoved that Student’s hand. the guy happily picked up the wrapped gift and walked over to Kang.

"That fake bomb was his. How did he disappear so easily...,"

the college’s emergency alarm started to wail loudly.

The students who were in the class all started to panic. That alarm could only mean one thing. Their college was infiltrated by villains.

They all clung to each other and hid under the tables, hoping that the villains will not find them.

The door was banged open. a huge glowing shadow flew into the class.

The students all tremble in fear.

"do you see him?" Haze whispered softly.

"no. he is not here," Aaron left hurriedly. "Call backup. We need to find him right now! Haze finds out what you know about Ruth. I need to know every single detail!"

"Got it," Haze landed in the ground and silently occupied the teacher’s table with his laptop.

Few of the students noticed him. some even recognized him.

"The heroes are here to save us... we are all saved." They all exclaimed in glee.

"Shh. Someone was kidnapped from this campus. we are doing a wide range search around the campus. You guys running around will be a bother. That’s why the alarm was rung. You all can sit up in your seats comfortably,"

The students all sighed and sat in their respective chairs.

One brave girl voiced her questions. "Who was it?"

"Someone very important. If he s not found I believe we will have a supernova in about ten hours,"

The students started to mumble amongst themselves.

He was not lying. Aaron was unstable as heck. his powers were leeching out of his body. It almost burned him when he got too close.

’I hope we find Kang soon or we will all be experiencing a mass extinction,"
