Zhu Kang closed his eyes and opened them. the next second they were in a completely different location. It was a small room with grey-painted walls. The décor was minimal. But there was a huge wall covered with newspaper clippings just like in his house. even eth newspaper clippings were all the same.

’I have no words..... this man is completely crazy..’

"This is our home, Kang. if you don’t like something just let me know I will change it," Ruth lowered him onto the bed.

Like a limp doll, he just plopped down. Kang desperately wanted to just sit up and punch this man.

"The bomb?"

"It’s disarmed," Ruth simply sat down next to him. "Wow I knew you will like it. I got this bed specifically altered so that so that it would feel just like your brother’s couch," saying this, the man laid down beside him.

Zhu Kang stiffed up slightly. ’what is he going to do.. shit is he going to assault me....’ his heart rate went up slightly. Right now, he was in a defenseless state. His body was limp as a cooked noodle. He could barely throw a punch. if Ruth decided to do anything to him, he would not be able to stop it.

His eyes started to tear up. ’Aaron... Aaron where are you... I don’t like this... I don’t like this at all...’ he closed his eyes hiding his tears.

He was half expecting Ruth to just jump his bones. to his surprise he did not do anything. He just laid beside him glancing at the ceiling with a bright grin.

Kang gave him a cautionary glance. "Why do you like me?"

Ruth gave him a small smile. "it’s a long story,"

"Tell me." Kang whispered ever so softly. ’If the man is talking, at least he won’t do anything inappropriate to me.’ this also will give Aaron enough time to get to him.

Ruth took a deep breath. "It was when I was five. You might not remember this but we were on the same team of trainees. We were all put in a small room made to kill each other until only a few of us survived. Back then I was a young child. I grew up in a loving home and... I.. I didn’t know the world was so cruel. My parents were killed and I was kidnapped. . I just cowered on the corner while everyone fought for their lives."

He closed his eyes, taking another deep breath. The man looked visibly distraught. "I could still remember the children’s screams and wails as they fought and killed each other. I... I covered my eyes and hoped that my death would be painless."

Ruth glanced at him. "But you saved me. You saved my life Kang." He chuckled. "You were shorter than me but way stronger. The other kids were scared of your rampage and left us alone. Five days we survived in that room... we came out victorious and I came out alive only because of you."

Zhu Kang felt a small pang in his chest. ’The snakehead gang treats children so cruelly!! shit Lia... he must have been suffering so much. I just hope he is still alive. I hope I can find him soon...’

A hand gently held his cold fist.

Kang came out of his thought, peering at Ruth’s fanatic eyes.

"After that day, I never met you. we were separated into categories. You were the strongest of us all so they made a special training program for you. I on the other hand was only just a third-rate super. for Years I have watched you train... I looked up to you. you were... my hero. you were like a war god when you went out on missions. you kill with such precision. it was astonishing."

His smile went away after that. "But you too had a weakness. And HE knew how to exploit it. you became his lap dog... do you know how much it hurt for me to see you in that state? Day to day I would secretly visit you to clean your wounds... your back was in tatters being whipped."

Kang froze. the recount of his story sounded so similar to the nightmares he had been having. So they were true. I was being abused at this place... but I don’t have any mars on my back...why so?’

"I had to smuggle another super to heal your wounds in secrets. I would only heal you a bit at a time.. if HE noticed that your scars were gone he would hurt you more. I didn’t want that..."

Kang clenched his fist tightly. ’Shit that sounds bad. Who was this mysterious person who held me hostage? what was my weakness?’

Without looking at him, Ruth continued with his story. "After a few years he got bored of you. he found a new target. An interesting target that he wanted to pursue. I took that chance to free you. but it came with a price. They wanted you to pay off an enormous amount of money for you to leave the group."

Ruth tightened his hold on his hand. "I offered to pay, but you didn’t allow me to. Day by day I watched you work your ass off trying to pay off that dept. it was heart wrenching. So secretly, I paid off your cut."

He glanced his way with a small smile. "don’t be angry with me. I know you have your many pride but I can’t watch you running around working for eighteen hours."

Kang silently took in all the information. ’This mysterious boss used me as a.... toy? And later he lost interest and Ruth got me out. Wow didn’t expect so much drama in the middle.’

He took a deep breath and glanced his way. "Ruth, can I ask you a question?"

"Yeah sure," he faced him.

"Do you feel entitled to my body just because you paid off my debt?" his tone went chilling with each word.

Ruth’s eyes went wide. He opened his mouth stuttering with his words. "I.. It’s not like that. I don’t own you... you are my beloved Kang. I would never treat you like HE did."

Kang raised a brow. "didn’t you just do that?" he kept trying to hold back his anger, but something in him sparkled an uncontrollable rage. his chilling body heated up so much. "you gave me a fucking bomb and literally threatened me to follow you back to your home and now we are in your bed. What do you expect me to think? Admit it you think you are entitled to me just because of paying off my debt!"

Rut sat up peering down at him with a betrayed look. "I would never do that! I would never touch you without consent... because I know that you hate being touched.. I respect your wishes Kang."

"Do you? I don’t wish to be here. can you respect my wishes and send me home now?" with a little strength he had remaining he sat up straight and peered into the man’s panicked eyes. "I know you won’t. Why? Because you are a fucking hypocrite. I’m your hero? you only think of me as another toy. how are you any different than HIM."

"Kang... I.. I love you.. love you so much," Ruth held his hand desperately.

Zhu Kang pushed him away. "I ... I don’t want to see your face right now." he pulled his tired body and rolled himself onto a cocoon with the grey comforter. "Leave me alone," he had his eyes wide open. ’will he leave... I hope he leaves.. god... I don’t want anything bad to happen. I shouldn’t have said so much,’

He heard the rustling of the sheet.

Kang froze.

"I will leave... please... don’t hate me. I just did that out of my feelings for you. ii will never hurt you voluntarily."

Zhu Kang rolled his eyes. ’Then why did you kidnap me huh?’ he berated the man in his mind and remained silent.

Ruth left the room after a while.

Kang finally felt like he was safe. His stiff body loosened up a bit and sleep invaded his senses.

On the other side, Aaron was in a blind panic. They couldn’t find even a small trace of Kang anywhere in the college. The CCTV were fucked.

The only lead they had was Ruth. He sat on the teacher’s chair peering at Haze with a glare. "did you find anything?"

Under his scrutinizing gaze Haze was sweating buckets. "I... I am searching the college website... wait a bit.,"

"it’s been half an hour! het me his information right now!"

The backup had arrived just at that time.

Aaron shot up from his chair. "Everyone. Form a team of two. go search all throughout the city. Haze, I need an address! Now!"

Haze trembling typed his codes. "I found it! it’s in west coastal area. Here," he held up his laptop.

Aaron hurriedly took it from him. "I’ll check this address. Haze, continue checking that guy’s information. Send me everything you find. And move your ass! I need it in five minutes!" saying this he flew out of the classroom.

Haze was left facing five super heroes. "Um you guys heard the man. search every corner of the city. We have to find him fast or that lunatic will put this whole city on lockdown."
