Chapter 132: Chapter 132 - Shiny things

Aaron’s place was much more suspicious. In fact, a single room was bigger than their entire house combined. Gwyn and Kang took a room on the first floor of the mansion. It was conveniently close to Aaron’s room, but Kang did not notify his brother about this small insignificant detail.

Gwyn glanced at Aaron who waiting out the door. "Thanks." he shut the door close.

Kang gaped at him. "That was very rude of you. That man helps us a lot."

"Yeah, so? He is also trying to get into my dear brother’s pants. I have to be tough to protect you from his schemes," his brother said so but his leg sneakily rushed over to the bathroom door. He opened the door and smirked widely. "it’s really gold!"

Kang rolled his eyes. at least this man is easily convinced by simple things...’ he walked up to him and pulled him back by his collar. "don’t steal it,"

"It will be worth a lot of dollars,"

"Yeah? So?" he raised a brow.

"We can pay off your dept,"

Zhu Kang froze. "h-how did you know of my debt...."

"I overheard you talking to Altren... Zhuzhu why didn’t you tell me this? I could have helped you out." he let out a frustrated sigh. "Is that why you took up so many part-time jobs..." he held his shoulders. "You shouldn’t have to go through that hardship by yourself,"

His brother was right. He could have told him. But at that time Gwyn was a certified villain who loved robbing jewelry stores and banks. He did not want them to earn money in such a way.

"Zhuzhu...." Gwyn gently shook his shoulders.

"I don’t want you to do villainous things. I know that I agreed to be with you through thick or thin but I hated robbing places. I hate being a villain...." He admitted openly.

His eyes focused on his brother’s dirty shoes. He really didn’t want to disappoint him but... he didn’t want to go against his morals as well. Hesitantly he glanced up. "Are you upset brother?"

Gwyn had a very troubled look on his face. "Why didn’t you tell me that earlier? I thought you liked our heists..."

"I only went along because you wanted to...." Kang peered into his brother’s amber eyes. "I never thought villainy was a bad thing... but by our actions, we hurt a lot of people,"

Gwyn shook his head with a small smile. "We never hurt anyone physically before. That was the only rule I live up to after I left... that place,"

"Not physically, mentally, remember that jewelry shop. just imagine yourself in that owner’s position. He would have been mentally devastated by the loss that had occurred... and the banks, it’s the hard-earned money of ordinary people." He let out all the thoughts he had been hiding in his heart. "Brother we never caused bloodshed but have made a lot of people depressed and devastated by our actions. I do not condone those any longer...."

His brother looked shocked and slightly saddened hearing this. "y-yes... we have committed a lot of mistakes and brought a lot of misfortune for others. But I did all those for you and I,"

"I know that’s why I regretted anything we have done in our past. I just want us to live a hard-earned life from now on,"

Gwyn nodded. "We will. We will never go back to these bad days again,"

"yes, we won’t," Kang smirked widely. "You can count on me. I will make us rich,"

His brother smilingly nodded. ’Yeah, yeah, big man. You have grown up quite a lot huh," he walked up to the huge king-size bed and plopped on it. he patted the spot next to him.

Kang jumped in. his weight sunk into the soft mattress. "Ah this is heaven."

They both settled down with the few things they had brought over from their home. Thankfully he had packed Gwyn’s night closes and his own as well. it made it very easy for them to settle down comfortably.

Even so, by the evening, Aaron knocked on their door with huge bags in his hand. "These are for you," he handed them to him,

Confusedly Kang took them from him. "What are these?"

"Clothes," Aaron said as a matter of fact.

With a brow raised Kang glanced in. they were in fact clothes, but they were all high-end brands like Gucci and Armani and stuff. His eyes went wide. "Why did you buy so many costly clothes," regretfully pulled out a white shirt from the bunch. It was a very plain white shirt but the price tag on it said it costs around 300 dollars. "You could have brought this from the local target. Why did you spend so much..."

Aaron sheepishly grinned. "I’m not sure what brand you will like. If you want, we can go to target together. You can pick up clothes you like there,"

"Yea that sounds like a good plan," he held out the bags back to him.

This time Aaron looked at him with a confused gaze. "why are you giving it back?"

"Return them. We shall buy my things at target,"

"No, I already brought them for you," Aaron held it up to his chest.

"I don’t want it though," Kang pushed it away.

With a small frown, Gwyn looked at the bags. "But... I searched through so many clothes to find the ones I thought would look good on you. It took so much effort to find matching pants and accessories. Each and every piece of these clothes are filled with my love for you..."

With each word, Kang felt his guilt rise up a tiny bit. grimacing he held his hand. "You don’t have to express your love by spending money on me. it’s kind of awkward to get things like these. Instead take me out for ice cream, or we can have a seaside dinner again. that cook of yours did a splendid job cooking the cuttlefish,"

Aaron’s eyes went behind him searching for a certain figure.

"My brother is in the bathroom,"

"oh, that’s good then," Aaron suddenly pulled him out and hugged him tightly in his arms. "I would love to go on a date with you. but will your brother agree? Can you convince him? I found out that he weak to your cute like puppy face," he squeezed his cheeks together until his lover’s lips puckered up like a fish.

"I can try," Kang mumbled through his puckered lips.

"Cute," leaning down Aaron pecked his lips. "You didn’t pick up any of your books from your place so I asked my assistant to pick them up. they will be here. just ask me if you need anything else." he let go of his cheeks.

His fingers had left behind small red fingerprints on his pale whist skin. it evoked his sudden urge to take a bite of them.

So, he did.

He chomped on his cheek and gently licked his slightly heated skin.

"hiss... did you morph into a puppy now? Why are you biting me..." Kang playfully tugged at his ear.

"you are irresistible." Leaning back, he peered into his lover’s beautiful lively eyes. "it’s not about the money Kang... I have tons of it. its just a waste paper to me. you, on the other hand, are the only treasure of my life. I wasn’t to lavish you with everything and anything you want."

Kang let out a small chuckle. "you’re awfully corny nowadays," he leaned up and kissed his cheeks as well. "If you keep showering me with pricy stuff, people are going to assume that I have a sugar daddy," he playfully pinched his ears.

"Sugar what? What is that?"

The subtle sound of the bathroom door opening came from behind him.

"haha go browse the Internet, my dear." Kang pulled away and walked back into his room. "See you at dinner,"

"hmm..." the last he saw as he closed his door was Aaron’s dazzling white smile.

The guy shone like an angel for God’s sake. It almost blinded his eyes.

Kang leaned against the door with a giddy smirk on his face.

A sudden cough was heard.

He glanced back in shock. "b-brother, its..."

"I don’t even want to ask," Gwyn changed into his slightly torn back shirt and pants and plopped into the bed. "The bags? He brought them for you?"

Zhu Kang nodded shyly.

"Toss them out. My little brother of mine can be brought by petty stuff like that."

Kang did not listen to him. in fact, he folded the clothes and arranged them neatly in the cupboard. "Says the guy who wanted to steal my boyfriend’s bathtub,"

"it’s gold! Who can resist that shine? Especially a dragon like me,"

Kang’s busy hands paused for a second. "Dragons like shiny things?’

"Yeah, we love shiny things. Don’t you?"

He thought about it. the only shiny thing that he loved and adores was his lover. He really shone like the sun. "I guess you are right about that," he mumbled with a bright smirk.
