Chapter 131: Chapter 131 - The Move

Altren hurriedly knocked on Kang’s door. Small footsteps slowly moved closer and closer to the door. "Come on, hurry up and open the door Kang,"

Kang only opened the Door halfway and peered at him vigilantly. "Why are you here again? didn’t I tell you to go home?"

"I have to talk to you and your brother right now, let me in," he tried to push his way through but a stronger force slammed on the door on the other side and held the door close.

"Go home Altren" Gwyn’s voice was heard behind the door.

"You don’t understand. there was a stalker here."

The inhabitants of the house went silent. There was a silent clicking sound and the door was thrown open. Gwyn looked at him with his eyes narrowed. "Where?"

"he left, but he might still be around her watching us."

Without a word Gwyn grabbed him by his collar and pulled him in. he closed the door and locked the latch. "How did that person look like?"

"He was wearing a black hood. I believe he is one of the snakehead gang’s cronies,"

That was more than enough to enrage the eldest Kang brother. He started to cuss out loud. "fuck... they found us... shit, shit... Kang pack your bags lest leave this city."

Zhu Kang froze. "w-why are you running?"

"Just do as I say. We can’t stay here any longer,"

"whoa, whoa, wait," Altren stood between the two brothers. "you guys don’t have to leave. Kang here is a member of our mighty lights’ academy. He is fully protected by us. In fact, I am one of his guardians. You guys don’t have to leave anywhere," he added anxiously looking up at his face.

Gwyn did not relent though. "Go pack up," he warned Kang.

Zhu Kang did not deal any further. He hurried back to his room and packed whatever valuables and clothes he found in a small duffel bag. "Where are we going?"

"Somewhere," Gwyn refused to divulge that.

"Why are the snakehead after us?" Kang whispered to himself. Then the realization came to him. his face paled.

Initially, the gang only focused on extorting money from him. after the bank robbery stunt, by all so powerful mister Altren, they might have been thoroughly pissed. He did not pay his monthly dues...

’Fuck they are after us for money...’ he grabbed Altren am and pulled him to a corner. "lend me some cash,"

"No, I’m not funding your run away act! You are safe right here! Two heroes are right here to protect you both. why do you need to leave in a rush?"

"You don’t understand. those men are after me because of cash..." Kang mumbled softly.

Altren’s skeptical eyes fell on him. "What do you mean? Do you owe them something? When did this happen? Why..."

"I can’t explain right now. all you need to do is that the snakehead gang is after me because I owe them money... an exorbitant amount of money. If I pay them back, I won’t have to worry about running and hiding," he hurriedly explained it to him.

Altren suddenly glanced at the tv. "Throwing cask really works." He then peered down at him with a weird look in his eyes. "Can I tell my uncle about this dept of yours,"

Kang thought about it. "No, don’t tell him." He frowned deeply. He really didn’t want to ask for cash from these two but... the situation was getting worse. If the debt went on, the gang might lose patience and would come knocking on their door.

When he was thinking of this issue all of a sudden Aaron walked into their place. "um... sorry to intrude but this is an emergency,"

Gwyn glared at him. "Why is he in my house? Get out of here,"

"Sorry brother, let me reveal my real identity. my name is Aaron zain also known as superhero zain, I am your legal protector of Zhu knag. You can’t stop me from following protocol," he walked past him and reached Kang. "You can’t stay in this house any longer. It’s not safe,"

Gwyn rushed to him and stood in between his brother and him. "No, I won’t allow that,"

"You can’t stop me,"

Kang sighed loudly. ’The gunpowder here is sparkling between these two again... gosh, how am I going to stop this? Not another fainting spell....’ instead of going through with his usual routine he decided to face the problem head on.

He stood in between them and cleared his throat.

Both his brother and Aaron glanced his way.

"Gwyn, Aaron is right. We are no longer safe here. Snakehead might attack us at any moment and we won’t even see that coming."

Gwyn frowned deeply and held his hand. "that’s why I suggested we leave.... we have to make haste,"

"And Aaron I’m not so sure about moving to your place. You guys stay here with us."

Aaron shook his head. He refused to compromise. "it’s not possible. This building here is not well protected. A single laser beam can disintegrate this place. Instead in my place, we have a lot of protective equipment. Kang I’m not compromising on your safety at any cost,"

Zhu Kang nodded. "He has a point. If this place came crashing down on us, we won’t be able to survive the crashing rubble,"

Gwyn shook his head. "I’ll take you to a safe place."

"No," Aaron once again glanced at him, eyes narrowed.

Gwyn glared at him again.

Kang held both their hands tightly. "Guys, don’t you both realize the danger we are in? The snakehead gang might be on the way to bomb this place as we speak. Why don’t we get going first?"

"Yes, my place," Aaron unilaterally decided and rushed out the door.

Gwyn gave him a betrayed look.

"Come on, don’t look at me like a stray puppy. We have to do something to live." He pulled his arm and gestured for him to lower his head.

Sighing he complied.

"His place is completely awesome. Even the bathtub is made of gold,"

Somehow, he noticed a weird spark on Gwyn’s eyes.

Kang pinched his hand. "We can’t steal anything,"

"Why not? It’s a gold tub!"

"it’s my boyfriend’s tub. Don’t steal," he warned him again and dragged Gwyn out the door.

Altren followed after him silently.

They all boarded Aaron’s car. Kang in the passenger and the other two on the back.

Gwyn glanced around touching the leather seat.

"it’s neat right, my uncle got this a few years ago. he never even let me ride in it." Altren explained with a bright smile.

"I see," Gwyn glanced away, peering at the dark alleyways. He could definitely spot a dark figure still standing and watching them. "Get going!"

Their car sped up through the roads. Gwyn’s eyes still concentrated on that alleyway. That dark figure was gone.

He clenched his fist tightly.

A warm hand suddenly enveloped his hand and gently rubbed him with his thumb. He glanced up at the silly hero.

"Don’t worry about anything. I will do anything to protect you and Kang,"

Somehow, he felt his tension ease from his muscles. Gwyn nodded and settled into the comfortable seat.

Zhu Kang watched their exchange through the rear-view mirror. ’Is this Altren really going to be my brother-in-law... reluctant... I’m so reluctant to part with Gwyn to him....’ as he looked away he noticed Aaron.

His boyfriend was gritting his teeth visibly.

"Hey, its okay," he gently patted his back.

"That guy... he was looking in through your window. You were right out in the open.... Fuck I didn’t even notice that." Aaron bit his bottom lips. "I feel like I failed as a hero..."

The car was silent as they drove through the busy roads.

Soon they drove to a very familiar building. This was Aaron’s mansion.

Gwyn glanced at the place with his mouth wide open.

"Neat right?" Altren proudly patted his arm. "This is my uncle’s private house. He stays here most of the time. But after Kang joined the academy, he has been staying in the academy more."

Without anything common to talk about, Altren started to spew information about his uncle and Kang.

Knowing this Zhu Kang, gave him a dull look.

Altren guiltily smiled at him but kept continuing the embarrassing stories. He even mentioned the fact that Kang was in a children’s class and how the chair stuck to his ass.

"Stop it!" Kang got down and smacked his back. "It never happened, brother. This guy is exaggerating,"

Gwyn nodded and followed them into the house.

Aaron disarmed all the weapons and led them in. "there are rooms in the first floor. Please feel free to use any. As for Kang’s college, I will drive forth to drop him off and pick him up, after class. I will be with him 24/7 to protect him,"

Gwyn looked at him distrustfully.

"I will to!" Altren jumped in excitedly. "Uncle I might have to take a break from college and accompany Gwyn here. He is also at risk because of the snakehead gang. He needs my 24/7 protection too,"

The uncle and nephew pair came to a unilateral agreement to protect the Kang brothers.
