Baibai grimaced dismissively at Situ Xin’s words, finding them too bloodthirsty. Was she supposed to be gentle for sticking these people with Silver Needles laced with a certain toxicity? That would make their suffering even worse.

The powder Situ Xin brought out was very potent, a concoction of her own making during her spare time in her space. The powder was highly toxic, but it wouldn’t kill anyone as long as they took the antidote once a month; then, they would be fine. If the time came and they didn’t take the antidote, however, they would suffer excruciating pain, from their bones to the surface of their skin. Aside from this effect, the powder also ensured that if someone was poisoned and not doused with water, they would remain asleep and not wake up.

With Divine Sense from Situ Xin, Baibai quickly found all the hiding spots of the opposition. Before they could react, Baibai knocked them out with a swipe of her paw. Then, Situ Xin added a little something extra.

Gradually, the gunfire in the deep forest ceased.

Situ Che and Loo Jie’s group were all puzzled; they wondered what was happening. After their confusion, they speculated whether it was the enemy’s strategy to make them lower their guard to lure them out and annihilate them in one fell swoop or if something had happened to the enemy and they had truly retreated.

In contrast to the pondering of Situ Che and Loo Jie’s group, the drug lord became restless. When he used binoculars to survey the battlefield, he saw his own men falling one by one.

He didn’t understand how such a reversal could have happened in such a short amount of time.

Since the drug lord had started observing from Hei Er’s hiding spot, he only saw the scenes where Baibai and Situ Xin had just finished and were heading to the next location each time he checked his men’s hiding spots. Thus, he had no idea about Baibai and Situ Xin.

Leaping to his feet from his chair, he addressed Hei Yi, "Take some men and go see what’s happening. Why have all of our people fallen?" As the drug lord spoke, suspicion flickered in his eyes: "How could this government’s special forces be so formidable? However, the information from the last report suggested nothing special about these special forces. Could that person be unreliable? Did he conceal something?" His eyes flashed with a deadly glint.

"Yes, Boss, I’ll go check it out right away," Hei Yi replied, acknowledging the order.

As Hei Yi reached the door, he heard their boss’s voice, "These people are no simple matter; pay extra attention. I do not wish to see the outcome I do not want to see. You know what I mean."

"Yes, I understand. I will definitely accomplish the mission," Hei Yi said, straightening his expression before addressing the drug lord.

After watching Hei Yi leave with his orders, the drug lord picked up the binoculars and began to scrutinize the battlefield carefully. He dared not overlook any detail, eager to discover what made this special forces team so capable of annihilating all his men.

Having finished with the last hidden spot, Situ Xin wiped her forehead and said to Baibai, "Ah, Baibai, we’ve finally dealt with the enemy. I’m really tired."

After hearing Situ Xin’s words, Baibai rolled her eyes, "Master, it seems it was always me putting in the effort while you sat comfortably on my back, just mouthing off."

"Not at all, using Divine Sense is really tiring, and I have to keep adding ’seasoning’ to these people’s bodies. It’s exhausting, you know?" Situ Xin teased Baibai.

Baibai knew it always lost these verbal spars with its master, so this time, it prudently shut its mouth.

Situ Xin thought they had cleaned up all the hidden enemies and was about to call for Situ Che and the rest to come out. However, before she could speak, she suddenly felt a group of people approaching through her still extended Divine Sense.

"Baibai, head in the direction we just came from," Situ Xin instructed as she took out a gun from her bag. There was a large number of people appearing now, and relying solely on Baibai to knock them out seemed unrealistic.

Hei Yi led his team with caution, "Everyone, focus fully, and be careful of everything around you," Hei Yi warned, unwilling to take any chances. Although he hadn’t witnessed what had occurred on the battlefield, the shocked and surprised expression on his boss’s face was not lost on him.

To cause such a reaction in his boss, the opposition’s capabilities were not to be underestimated.

While Hei Yi led his team carefully into the forest, Situ Xin and Baibai had already silently moved to their right flank and then snuck to the back of their formation. Initially, Situ Xin had planned to shoot them down.

"You," Hei Yi blurted out in shock, pointing at Situ Xin and opening his mouth to speak, but before the words came out, Baibai’s paw struck, knocking him unconscious.

"Good job, Baibai. I’ll reward you when we get back," Situ Xin said, pleased she hadn’t had to fire a single shot to deal with these men. Her thoughts then turned to the drug lord, her eyes gleaming dangerously. She vividly remembered the perilous scene she witnessed upon her arrival.

If she had been even a little later, wouldn’t she be facing a gravely injured brother?

After Hei Yi left with his team, the drug lord’s attention never strayed from them. He was curious to see who from the opposition had the capability to swiftly take out his subordinates so effortlessly.
