Chapter 120: Chapter 120: Space Upgraded Again (4)_1

"What is that?" Situ Xin exclaimed in surprise upon seeing a fruit that resembled a little doll.

Unconsciously, Situ Xin walked under the tree bearing the doll-like fruits and reached out her hand instinctively. When her hand touched the tree, knowledge about it suddenly surfaced in her mind.

It turned out that the fruits looking like little dolls were Ginseng Fruits, something Situ Xin had heard of before. Various fruit stalls sold them, but the Ginseng Fruits from her space were different. Not to mention anything else, their shapes alone were completely different. The ones sold outside were oval-shaped, while the Ginseng Fruits in her space looked exactly like little dolls.

"Could these really be the legendary Ginseng Fruits said to exist only in the Heavenly Realm?" Situ Xin knew from the knowledge that had surfaced in her mind that these must be the legendary Ginseng Fruits, but she was still astonished as she spoke.

The effects of the Ginseng Fruit that appeared in her mind were such that when ordinary people ate them, they would extend their lifespan and alleviate aging. If martial artists consumed them, they would increase their Inner Strength, with small increases of three to four years, and significant ones ranging up to decades. For cultivators like Situ Xin, the effects were not significant. Nevertheless, there were still benefits to eating them.

Knowing that the Ginseng Fruit would not harm her, Situ Xin decided to taste it to discover its flavor. She tried to pluck a fruit from the tree using her thoughts, but after many attempts, the Ginseng Fruit remained motionless. Deflated, Situ Xin said, "What’s going on? Why doesn’t teleportation work, and even mental commands are useless?"

As Situ Xin ascended from the base to the peak of the mountain, she felt that the higher she went, the denser the Spiritual Energy became. She could now sense the Spiritual Energy permeating through her skin’s tiny pores. Situ Xin had a premonition that the white mist swirling around halfway up the mountain might be Spiritual Energy. If it really was condensed Spiritual Energy, she did not know what that entailed. Moreover, the Jade Token in her mind, which contained knowledge about Cultivation from the space, made no mention of condensed Spiritual Energy.

Nevertheless, it was precisely this that made Situ Xin think it strange; the mountain interior possessed such abundant Spiritual Energy, yet since she had reached its base, she had been able to absorb only the Spiritual Energy from her surroundings and was unable to utilize the Spiritual Energy inside her body. Moreover, all the spells she had learned had become ineffective here.

"Could there be some strange mystery to this mountain?" The first thing Situ Xin thought of was possible dangers on the mountain, but she reconsidered, as she was the owner of this space, there should be no unstable elements here. "Forget it, I just need to be more careful."

Since she could not use mental commands to pick the Ginseng Fruit, Situ Xin resorted to Qinggong and leapt onto a branch of the Ginseng Fruit tree. After picking a fruit, she jumped down safely to the ground.

With the doll-like Ginseng Fruit in hand, Situ Xin took a gentle bite and instantly, its delicate fragrance filled her mouth. "Mmm, it really is a divine fruit. It melts right upon entering the mouth, so delicious." Situ Xin devoured the Ginseng Fruit in a few bites, but after finishing it, she was left craving more, though her stomach could hold no more. One Ginseng Fruit was her limit.

"I’ll eat more another time," Situ Xin said, having just looked around and noticed that there was more than one Ginseng Fruit tree on the mountain. She thought that occasionally having a few more would be possible. "I’ll bring one back for Grandfather and the others when I return," Situ Xin decided, not forgetting her family even as she enjoyed the fruit herself.

Knowing that touching any tree would bring its information to her mind, Situ Xin, having finished the Ginseng Fruit in her hand, began to approach the trees bearing unknown fruits.

After making a round, Situ Xin learned that the trees on the mountain were extraordinary. Some leaves could be used in medicine, some were even needed for Alchemy, and all the fruits had beneficial properties for the body, with some even capable of enhancing one’s cultivation level. The pink fruits, for instance, were rare treasures in the Cultivation World, highly sought after by cultivators. For someone at Situ Xin’s cultivation level, eating a Dragon Fruit would increase her cultivation level.

After this encirclement, Situ Xin had gained much insight. These trees and fruits were truly rare treasures—one normally wouldn’t even hear of them, let alone see or eat them, but here Situ Xin found them in abundance, as common as market stall goods.

Having rested enough, Situ Xin continued to ascend the mountain using Qinggong. The climb became steeper, and she had to periodically use the mountain’s rocky cliffs to pull herself up.

Suddenly, Situ Xin spotted a cave on the mountainside and, exerting herself, she stopped at the entrance.

"Phew, I didn’t realize until now how much Qinggong drains one’s strength," Situ Xin said after stopping, taking a deep breath. This was the most physically demanding task she had faced since her rebirth.

Standing outside the cave, Situ Xin peered inside but could not see anything. She found it odd; with her current cultivation level, daylight and darkness were the same to her. She could see clearly in the dark, but now, she could only make out pitch darkness within. "Could it be that the cave is so deep that I can’t see anything?"

While still pondering the visibility issue, Situ Xin suddenly felt something calling her, causing her to furrow her brow. She had already found the mountain strange, and now it seemed even more suspicious.

Despite this, Situ Xin did not shrink back. She wanted to see what was inside the cave and, saying so, strode boldly into it.

As Situ Xin stepped into the cave, what was pitch darkness suddenly lit up. The abrupt brightness made it difficult for her to open her eyes.

Once she grew accustomed to the light, Situ Xin opened her eyes and looked around. What she saw was astonishing. "Wasn’t I just at the entrance? Where am I now?" She was definitely not at the entrance but rather deep inside the cave. Situ Xin was certain she had not moved since entering. "Could there be a teleportation array at the cave entrance?" She speculated, combining her previous knowledge.
