Chapter 28: Chapter 28 None of Your Business

"So, you’re determined not to help me?" he said in a deep voice.

"No." Mu Yiliang suddenly smiled, "I will help you get the information."

Ye Moran’s brows slightly furrowed.

"But, I need you to agree to one thing." Mu Yiliang continued.

"What?" he asked with a gentle smile.

"After I help you with this, please never appear in front of me again." Mu Yiliang curled her lips.

The man’s smile slowly faded.

Then he reached out to hold her chin: "Your fear of seeing me means you still love me."

Mu Yiliang let out a cold snort: "Don’t misunderstand. It’s not that seeing you makes me lovesick, but every time I see you, I’m reminded of how foolish I was to have loved a man like you."

He looked at her intently, but his amber-colored eyes revealed no emotion.

After a long time, he softly said, "Fine, I promise you. I need the information by the end of the month."

Mu Yiliang’s smile was full of mockery: "Don’t worry, it won’t affect your strategy for next year."

"Yiliang..." he suddenly called her name gently, his hoarse voice almost creating the illusion that he deeply loved her.

"Is there anything else?" Mu Yiliang looked at him coldly.

"You’re truly heartless..." he chuckled softly, his voice filled with seduction, as his hot palm slid down from her cheek to her chest.

Mu Yiliang watched him calmly, her heart unperturbed.

Ye Moran stared into her eyes, trying to find any trace of emotion, but he failed.

He seemed unwilling to give up and pulled open her collar, attempting further probing when his hand suddenly stopped, his gaze fixed on her chest.

"What’s the matter, Mr. Ye?" Mu Yiliang smiled faintly.

"What is this?" he raised his head, madness lurking in his eyes.

Mu Yiliang was slightly taken aback and lowered her head to find a clear mark on her collarbone.

Clear and ambiguous.

She suddenly realized it was a mark Yan Sijue had left on her just now.

"It’s exactly what you think." Mu Yiliang languidly smiled, "It’s obviously a love mark."

"Mu Yiliang..." he shouted her name, his voice filled with a bone-deep hatred, "How dare you..."

"Don’t forget, I’m a married woman now." Mu Yiliang felt a sense of revenge, thinking, does this man really believe she would love him forever? She’d been foolish for three years, she wouldn’t stay foolish forever.

"Impossible!" he clutched her body tightly, saying hatefully, "You deliberately made yourself unattractive, Yan Sijue would never touch you!"

"What’s it to you?" Mu Yiliang smiled innocently, "Do I owe you an explanation for my chastity?"

"Who is it then? You came out like this at night just to meet that man, didn’t you?" His eyes turned a deep, angry black.

Mu Yiliang was a little startled.

She didn’t expect such a strong reaction from this man.

Did he truly believe she would inevitably belong to him? Even if he didn’t love her, he considered her his possession. Thus, upon learning she had been with another man, he was this furious.

Mu Yiliang laughed mockingly, her heart growing even colder.

"I’ll say it again, this has nothing to do with you, please let go of me, Mr. Ye." Mu Yiliang said softly.

Ye Moran seemed as if he had been scalded, and with a slight shudder, he finally let her go, his face returning to a calm and indifferent expression.

It was the same coldness that Mu Yiliang had once hated intensely.
