Rex finally realized that he seemed to have messed up things.

Looking at the confused Evelyn, he had to ask in detail.

"Did you give any letter to anyone today?"

Evelyn still looked confused for a moment until she remembered the morning incident and nodded her head.

"Yes, I did give a letter to soldier Henry."

Rex’s mind again went blank as he remembered whatever he had said to Regan.

Now all of it made sense!

He suddenly wanted to bang his head against the wall.

Just how huge a mess he has created! Taking a deep breath he looked at Evelyn and asked her another question.

"Why did you give a blank letter to Henry?"

Please let it not be what he was thinking! Rex wished inside his heart.

If Evelyn liked Henry then what will his brother do? No, if she liked Henry then he needs to do something to make her dislike him and then make her like his brother.

He needed to do this for Regan.

When Rex was thinking all this, Evelyn was also looking at him in shock. It took her a few moments to finally ask him

"Your Highness, how did you know that the letter was blank?"

Rex was silent for a moment. He didn’t know if he should tell Evelyn that his brother had come to him with the letter. However, since he didn’t know the whole matter and he had already messed up without knowing all the things so he decided to be honest.

"Regan came to me with the letter. He asked me what a blank letter could mean."

Evelyn was shocked on hearing this.

She had given the letter in front of the prince but she didn’t expect that he would take the letter from Henry and would try to see what was written inside it.

And he even asked the prince regarding it.

Evelyn was silent for a few moments. However, during these few moments, her mind’s wheels turned faster.

Rex was silently looking at her wondering what she was thinking so deeply. He saw how Evelyn’s face was first serious then suddenly went pale.

He was about to ask her if she was alright when Evelyn suddenly spoke up.

"Your Highness, Thanks. I think I now know why His Highness is unhappy. It is because of me."

Evelyn’s looked very upset when she said these words but at the same time she had a look of understanding.

Of Course, Rex already had understood why Regan was unhappy. It was simply because he saw Evelyn giving a letter to a man...a blank letter precisely and he explained the meaning behind that letter in a very wrong manner.

But now hearing from Evelyn that even she had realized it, he was surprised.

He seemed to be angry and upset.

At the thought that it was she who made him like this, Evelyn blamed herself.

She immediately stepped forward.

"Your Highness, is it the letter that made Your Highness unhappy?"

"It was not prepared by you? Then who prepared it and why did you give it to Henry?"

She told Regan about how Hannah liked Henry and how her friends had wanted to tease her.
