The Masked prince
Chapter 205: The Mystery

Chapter 205: The Mystery

"Your Highness...this ...was it a good decision?"

Elias asked suddenly.

Though he asked a question, it could be seen from his face that he didn’t think that it was a good decision.

He was only finished when Rex followed him and said

"Regan, what if she wished to walk out of your life later...when everything is solved?"

Regan did stiffen at the question slightly. Of course, the thought of Evelyn leaving him was hurtful.

However, he said calmly

"She can do what she wishes. I would never force my will on her. This connection binds me to her...not her to me, Rex."

Rex had an expression of realization on his face as he realized that what Regan said was true but Elias was still frowning.

But he didn’t say anything.

Even Rex looked worried but stayed silent.

Evelyn didn’t know but today Regan bound himself to her for all his life. Till his last breath, he could never give his heart to someone else except for her but she...she has all the freedom to leave his life whenever she wanted.

Amidst the dense trees, Arthur walked straight without any lamp in his hand. In the darkness, he seemed to know where he was supposed to place his next step.

The whole night he had walked but there was no trace of exhaustion on his face. Finally, he stopped outside a hut and went to open it.

There was an old man inside the hut who was lying on the wooden bed. Another man was making him drink some water.

When the young man saw Arthur, he stopped immediately and walked to him leaving the old man.

Arthur’s eyes were towards the bed as he said

"Did you find him?"

"Yes, Sir."

The young man said firmly and Arthur signed him to leave.

Then he walked towards the bed and looked at the old man. A sneer formed on his lips when he saw no trace of recognition flashing in the old man’s eyes.

How could he recognize him when he couldn’t even see!

Hence, Arthur had to speak

"Wondering why you are here, master?"

The expression on the old man’s face changed within a second as if he had recognized the voice. Rage seemed to fill his heart as his forehead wrinkled all over and he shouted

"You! It is you!"

As he spoke, he tried to get up from the bed but the condition of his body didn’t allow him to do so.

"Tsk!"

Arthur’s voice sounded full of pity but the expression on his face said otherwise. The old man was aware of this even though he didn’t even have the ability to see.

His chest heaved up and down because of the anger he was feeling.

Five years ago, he broke his leg because of his inability to see.

Arthur chuckled when he saw that he was all worked up and said

"Calm down Master. Anger is not good for your health."

"Don’t call me master!"

The old man said angrily. His expression was one of disgust as he said

"A disgusting man like you doesn’t deserve to call me master. It is you who made me blind ...I despise you. How I wish that I have killed you the first time I saw you...instead of accepting you as my disciple!"

Arthur’s eyes shone with a cold glint of light but he didn’t show his anger and said calmly.

"Well...I am sure that I am less disgusting than master. At least I have never sneaked inside someone’s house and taken the virginity of girls who are of your daughter’s age."

The old man glared in Arthur’s direction when he heard him. His body was trembling with anger but he didn’t have anywhere he could vent to.

If Dan was here and had heard Arthur’s words, then he would have surely had some sense of familiarity with the old man lying on the bed.

Arthur smiled as he looked at his so-called master and then finally talked about what he wanted to do.

"I want you to answer me something."

The old man still glared at Arthur and looked firm not to help him. But Arthur seems to know that this was to happen so he said calmly

"If you help me, I can hire a good physician to heal your leg."

The old man’s eyes suddenly flickered with hope when he heard this but the next moment he said coldly

"I don’t trust you."

Arthur chuckled when he heard this and said

"So Master had finally become intelligent."

The old man gritted his teeth in anger and Arthur continued

"You don’t have any other way. If you don’t help me, then I will have you killed by my people...in ways that you can’t even imagine."

The old man’s already pale face went paler when he heard this and he said hurriedly

"I agree. I will help you."

Arthur flashed a victorious smile and asked him

"Are there people who can be immune from the power of your skills? People on whom this power doesn’t work?"

The old man’s eyes flickered when he heard the question and he asked another question in return.

"Did you encounter such a person?"

Arthur’s eyes flashed with coldness as he remembered the day when he was caught inside Evelyn’s room in Mazic castle.

Regan didn’t know but when he was looking into Regan’s eyes, he was trying to control his mind.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t do so which left him shocked for the first time.

After that, Arthur tried to control Regan’s mind many times. However, every time he was left unsuccessful in his attempts.

Therefore he had to find his so-called master and ask him about him.

The old man was still lost in his thoughts as he whispered

"Could he be her son?"

"Whose son?"

Arthur asked with a deep frown.

The old man was silent for a moment as if he was remembering something before he said

"Princess Regina...The princess of City of Mazic."
