Chapter 105: Flustered Evelyn
Chapter 105: Flustered Evelyn
"Your Highness, there is a high chance that the person is among the newly hired maids and servants."
Elias said and Regan frowned as he shook his head
"It is not necessary."
Rex and Elias looked at him and Regan continued
"It is possible that Rafael had his people installed inside the castle even before we came to Mazic. Now that we are here, he is finally using them."
Elias and Rex didn’t have anything to counter that so they agreed.
"We need to investigate everyone, whether new or old. No one can be trusted."
Rex said and Elias nodded his head.
Indeed, no one could be trusted.

The sun shone brightly in the sky and Evelyn entered the chambers with the tray in her hands.
Regan who was seated on the bed immediately raised his head and looked at her. His red eyes were immediately soft and gentle as he stood up from the bed and looked at her without moving his eyes away.
Seeing him like this, Rex who was reading some documents by his side shook his head and sighed and then he resumed his work for a few moments before moving towards the dining table.
When Evelyn approached Regan, he took the tray from her hands surprising her with his actions especially when her hand touched his.
She immediately withdrew her hands and looked away from the prince’s face. How could a mere touch of someone make her mind so chaotic?
As Evelyn scolded herself silently, she didn’t notice Regan looking at her lowered head with amusement-filled eyes.
Was she flustered? He wondered.
He had noticed that she didn’t feel uncomfortable with his touch. Otherwise, he would have never touched her in any way until she would feel comfortable with him.
Since she had decided to stay by his side, he wanted to make her aware of his feelings slowly and slowly. Regan knew that Evelyn would never accept his feelings immediately. He had an intuition that she would perhaps run away in fear.
So he was trying his best to go slow. He first wanted her to get used to of his attention, care, and presence so much that she would be unable to leave him even when he would confess his feelings to her.
He didn’t know if he was being manipulative but to win Evelyn’s heart, he was ready to cross any limits. In return, he would cherish her and would never let any harm come to her till his last breath.
"Do you still feel any pain in your shoulder?"
Regan’s voice brought Evelyn out of her trance and she raised her head to look at him. She was confused for a moment before she remembered her lies from yesterday and immediately shook her head.
"No...No, Your Highness"
The guilt from yesterday returned and Evelyn lowered her head.
When they were standing in front of each other like that, Rex sighed again who was now seated at the dining table with Elias and said
"If both of you are done chatting like old aunties then give us the tray, please. After that, you can continue to chat as much as you wish. You can do even more. We won’t bother you."
Rex said the last few words in a very suggestive way which made Evelyn wonder if he meant what she was feeling. She didn’t even raise her head as she was not sure but she could feel her cheeks going hot. Evelyn suddenly felt worried for herself as she was sure that Prince Rex would never say something like that.
What should she do? Her mind was too dirty!
Regan looked at Rex with a strict gaze while Elias didn’t look as if he even understood what was going on.
A few moments later, the four of them were seated at the dining table and having breakfast.
Amidst the meal, Rex suddenly looked at Evelyn and asked
"Evelyn, would you be joining us in the ground to practice with other men?"
It was actually Rex’s way of telling Evelyn that there was no ill-will between the two of them. He knew that he had been slightly rude to her after he had come to know that she was from Zamorin.
He didn’t know if she understood it last night so he decided to initiate the talk to let her know.
Evelyn was actually surprised that the prince talked to her. But hearing his question, she opened her mouth to answer.
Of Course she was going to join them. She had already missed so many days of training. Evelyn felt despair filling her heart when she thought this.
However, before she could answer Rex, Regan spoke up
"No, she won’t."
Evelyn frowned as she looked at the prince and called out in confusion
"Your Highness..."
Regan looked at her with a deeper frown than her hearing her surprised and confused voice and said
"Did you forget that you just felt the pain in your shoulder yesterday?"
Indeed, she felt.
Evelyn suddenly felt like banging her head against the wall. It was her doing. Now she would have to face it.
She smiled as she hid her guilt and tried to convince the prince.
"But Your Highness, I am alright now. I can..."
How could Regan agree? Regardless of what she said, he didn’t listen to her and asked her to concentrate on her meal.
Evelyn was disappointed. Seeing her like this, Regan’s eyes softened and he sighed.
"Wait for today to pass. If you didn’t feel any pain then I won’t stop you. Alright?"
Evelyn nodded her head and continued her meal.
It was good actually. Since she didn’t have any work today she could go to market and see if she could buy something for the prince.
Evelyn thought that it was a good idea. However, she faced the same serious problem again.
What should she buy for the prince? What if the things she bought was not liked by the prince?
She didn’t even know what he likes and what he dislikes.
