Chapter 304: 303. Back Home (1)
The place we had teleported to was the Mage’s Tower of Sestia. It had been a hassle and only a one time thing that’s why I had brought along the teleportation device which could connect me with the Mage’s Tower in case that I wouldn’t have time for travel.
Kai and the Dwarves looked around the hall with wonder while Lyall bowed to Silas placing down our luggage.
Silas walked towards us and eyed the child who at the sudden attention hid behind me.
"Is that the child?" Silas asked and I nodded placing my hand over Kai’s head.
"No need to be afraid, Kai. He’s my Uncle." I said and Kai peeked out from my side looking at Silas.
Silas observed him for a moment before he looked at Asher who was also busy looking around.
"And who’s that?" Silas asked pointing at Asher.
"That is Sir Asher Lewinstein. He decided to tag along since he doesn’t have a home." I said and Asher looked at us.
Silas sighed, "I can’t believe you..."
His eyes then fell on the Dwarves, "They are going to Eldarf, I presume."
"Yes," I announced with a smile.
He nodded before he looked at Lyall and then back at me.
"I believe we have a lot to talk." He said and I cleared my throat.
"I’m a bit tired and hungry after the entire ordeal of you know..." I said making gestures with my hands before I looked at Lyall.
"And I also have to bring them to their respective places-"
"Re-Ocean." He spoke sternly, correcting himself at the last moment.
"Tomorrow," I said, "I’ll explain everything to you tomorrow."
Silas eyed me with his arms crossed at his chest before he sighed.
"Fine," he gave in, "get some good rest."
"Thanks, Uncle." I beamed at him making him avert his eyes as the light pink hue dusted his cheeks.
After that, I got two carriages from Silas which took us to Ryujin mansion but we got down half way. Lyall took the carriages ahead till the mansion with our luggage while I and the rest stayed back.
Asher looked around at the forest and then asked, "Why did we get down in the middle of nowhere?"
"Come along." I said as I gestured the Dwarves to come.
They started walking behind me, Kai looked around as he walked beside me holding my fingers with his tiny hand.
We walked for a couple of minutes before we crossed the barrier which made everyone flinch, Kai clutched my fingers tightly while the Dwarves looked around and Asher gripped the hilt of his sword.
"It is the barrier that protects the forest and this area." I explained giving a light squeeze to Kai’s hand before we continued walking.
After a couple of more minutes, I spotted the Eldarf manor and the clearing which surrounded it.
The presences seemed to sense me before I could even properly enter the clearing.
"You all might want to step back a little." I said as I let go of Kai’s hand and took a couple of steps ahead.
The kids from inside were out in a flash running towards me before they all threw themselves at me. I laughed a little as they clung to me shouting with glee.
"Master!"
"Master is back!"
"Master, we missed you!"
"Please tell me, you will fight us this time!"
They all shouted at once like always and Kent stepped out letting out a deep sigh.
"Get back here!" He shouted and the kids got down and stood in a line.
"Welcome back, Master!" They all greeted me with the perfectly synchronised bow.
I nodded and then turned to look at the party that had come with me, the Dwarves were watching in wonder while Kai seemed anxious, Asher had his jaw on the ground.
"Come here," I said reaching out to Kai and the Dwarves.
They all stepped ahead and stood a step behind me, I felt Kai clutching a piece of my coat as he peeked at the kids.
"Welcome the new guests, kids." I said gesturing at the Dwarves.
The kids eyed the new members curiously and I looked at the Dwarves.
"Don’t be worried about them. They all are good kids, they do have a bite though." I said with a smile.
The Dwarves hesitantly stepped ahead and the kids grinned before they hovered around the Dwarves and I held Kai’s hand bringing him forth as well.
"Oh, who’s that Master?" Sylvia asked looking at Kai.
"He seems like Master." Cyrus observed.
"Don’t tell me... Is that your kid, Master?" Rowan shouted.
"Master has a kid!"
"Master’s kid!"
The kids suddenly were looking at Kai who gasped and hid behind me. The kids craned their heads to have a look at him and I laughed.
"He’s not my kid, but he is my successor." I said before I pulled Kai ahead making him whimper.
"Don’t be scared, child. These are also kids like you, a bit older than you so, they’re like your big brothers and sisters." I told Kai.
"Wow... He even looks a lot like Master."
"Master, tell us the truth, is he really not your kid?"
"He’s not my biological child." I corrected.
"Will he stay with us too? Like these Uncles?" Rowan asked pointing at the four Dwarves.
"Not now, he’s a bit scared of being with people so, in a couple of years when he’s adjusted to this place, I’ll bring him here."
Kai looked at me as if telling me that he didn’t want to go there.
I left the Dwarves at the Eldarf with a promise to the kids that I’ll go visit them again soon and I, Kai and Asher started walking towards Ryujin mansion.
Asher walked a step behind me as he kept looking back at Eldarf manor again and again.
"Where did you even get that many Elves and Dwarves?" He asked.
"From the slave market."
"Are they your slaves?" He asked.
"No, they’re my kids." I said and he snorted.
"I hope you won’t let your hostility towards me show before my people, Asher." I warned.
"Why?" He asked.
"I might owe you one but they don’t and," I looked at him.
"All of my people are fighters, you’ll be an idiot if you underestimated them."
"You really think just because one of your attendant is stronger than me I won’t be able to beat the others."
"I bet you can’t even beat one of those kids whom we just saw."
Asher cocked his brow and I smirked.
"You are in a completely different world, Asher."
We reached in front of Ryujin in no time where my entire household personnel was waiting to welcome me.
The whole lot of assassins were at the entrance with Mrs Enora Jones standing at the end of the like with a warm, welcoming smile along with Lyall.
"Welcome back, Master." Everyone bowed and greeted me in perfect unison which made me smile.
Kai watched in awe as we passed by them and Asher walked behind me.
I stopped once I reached in front of Mrs Jones and faced all the mansion personnel.
"This is Kai, the new Young Master of the Ryujin family." I said and placed my hand over Kai’s head.
The servants bowed their heads and spoke in unison, "Welcome home, Young Master Kai."
"I hope you all will treat him with the respect he deserves and watch out for him." I spoke.
"Yes, Master!"
The response came in unison embued with such power and conviction that Kai flinched and stuck to my side making me smile.
"Welcome home, Young Master Kai." Mrs Jones crouched at Kai’s side making him look at her.
"This is Mrs Jones, she will be taking care of your needs." I said.
She smiled warmly at him and reached out to him, he hesitantly placed his hand in hers before he looked at me. I gave him an assuring nod watching her lead him away. I looked at the servants who started dispersing before I faced Roan who seemed like he would crumble.
"How are you doing?" I asked.
"Are you asking this because you can’t see?" He asked making me laugh.
Remi, meanwhile took my cloak from my shoulders.
"Thanks Remi." I smiled at him and he bowed before he stood beside me.
"Please look at the paperwork now, I’m taking a vacation." Roan said.
"Oh, sure. But first you got to explain me a few things." I said making him avert his gaze.
"And what might they be?"
"My Vassals, if that rings a bell." I crossed my arms at my chest.
"Erm... That... They are coming tomorrow to see you themselves." He said and I cocked a brow.
"Well, you can’t blame me, they were adamant saying they wanted to be at your side and support you." He quickly defended himself.
I nodded, "Fine, I’ll see them tomorrow."
Roan sighed deeply and I looked at Remi who was eyeing Asher.
"That’s Sir Asher, he’s a knight who came along. He’ll stay here as well, Remi, make preparations." I said and Remi nodded and handed my cloak to Lyall before he walked over to Asher.
Asher gave me a brief glance before he walked away and I sighed.
"I’m hungry, and I miss my family. I’ll be there tonight so, you guys can party if you want." I told Lyall and then looked at Asher.
"Keep an eye on him," I spoke in a low voice.
Lyall bowed and I walked out of the mansion feeling Asher’s gaze on my back.
