Chapter 203: 202. Foundation Of Loyalty (3)
"I’m Baron Ocean Ryujin, at your service." I announced making her eyes go wide for a moment.
Brielle also stared at me as she must have recognized me from back when we ran into each other at the the Royal Palace.
Countess Yvaine started to get up but I brought my hands up, "Please relax yourself, Countess."
"I didn’t expect you to come here yourself to heal me." She said and I smiled.
"I had to," I said, "Your husband and I are acquaintances."
I felt Wallace’s stare on the side of my face before I looked down at Brielle whose face had gone red from crying along with her sister Liana’s who was only three years older than her.
"We meet again, Miss Nash." I said making her eyes grow wide for a second before she stole a glance at her father.
"Yo-You have met before?"
"Yes, briefly at the Royal Palace." I answered.
"I-I had gotten lost and," Brielle spoke up while looking in between me and her father, "Baron Ocean helped me."
Wallace seemed relieved for some reason and he faced me.
"Thank you for helping out my daughter and..." He looked at his daughter and then at his wife before smiling.
"My family..."
I tilted my head to one side as I said, "Consider this as my way of bribing you to be on my side."
He chuckled wiping his tears, "Consider me to be taken then, Lord Dragon, no- Master Ocean."
I smiled as I put my hand in the pockets of my trousers before pulling out my crest that would help him get access to my Oasis Foundation facilities.
"Welcome to the Oasis Family, Count Wallace Nash." I said as I reached my hand out and he grasped it before noticing that I was handing him something.
He held the crest in his palm before looking at me.
"Use this to get facilities from Oasis Foundation. You will be given free health treatment in the hospital, the kids will have free education, and protection if you end up in any trouble. But there is one rule."
"What?"
"You are not allowed to tell anyone about us, any leakage of information or about me will lead to consequences."
His expression stayed the same and he nodded, "I will take it to my grave."
"Then, we will take our leave. You should enjoy your time with your family." I said patting his arm.
"Please stay for dinner, Master Ocean." He insisted and I shook my head.
"My work here is done. So, I’ll have to take my leave for now. I’ll come by if you ever need help. Besides, I’m sure you all need some family time." I said gesturing towards his wife and daughters who were hugging and crying.
We returned back to the Ryujin mansion and I walked up to my study before removing my earstud making Lyall flinch and Roan to stare at me. He knew I had shown my real form to some close attendants of Ryujin mansion but he himself wasn’t used to it.
I stretched my arms above my head stretching my body a little as I heard the satisfying pops. I released a deep breath and looked at Roan.
"Nash family is a part of us now, extend the facilities to them as well." I said.
"Yes, Master."
I then turned to Lyall who was staring at me, "Let’s go."
"Master... are you going somewhere?" Roan asked looking in between me and Lyall.
"Yes, I’m taking him to my house." I said making him tilt his head.
"Um... Isn’t this your house?"
"Ah, let me correct. My father’s house." I said making his eyes go wide before he looked at Lyall.
"Are you only taking him?" He asked in a hesitant tone.
"Would you like to come along?" I asked him and his cheeks went pink for a moment.
"Ca-Can I really?!"
I smiled, "Sure."
His eyes went wide for a moment before his face flushed.
I pulled out the teleportation device from the drawer in my desk and I looked at the two men who were waiting for me.
I did tell my father that, I would be bringing my one most trusted attendant with me and he would serve me all the time from now on but I didn’t know how he would react when he actually sees my attendant.
I walked up to them and reached up to Lyall, he looked down at me as I was smaller than my Ocean’s form.
"Hold my hand, Roan hold Lyall’s hand." I instructed and Roan gripped his hand before I activated the teleportation device.
The light emerged from the device before it enveloped us and after being suspended in the space for a moment we landed on the solid ground.
I blinked and looked around my room and even the men looked at their surroundings.
"This is my room," I said making the two look at me.
"Come," I said as I walked towards the door.
The two wordlessly followed me out of the room and we walked past the servants who greeted me with smiles but then gave strange looks to the two men who walked behind me.
"This place is grander than Ryujin..." I heard Roan muttered.
"Because it’s a Duke’s house." I replied.
I glanced back once looking at the two of them gazing at the portraits on the walls, Lyall and Roan stopped at once as a particular one came up.
I stopped too and looked at the portrait which had my parents, Rune and myself.
I was a baby in my mother’s arms while she sat in a chair with father and Rune standing at her sides.
"Is that ..." Lyall whispered staring up.
"That’s the portrait from the time when I was born." I said and then gestured at the white haired woman who was carrying me.
"And that’s my mother."
"No wonder you’re so beautiful..." I heard Roan mutter.
"That’s my father," I pointed at my father and then at my brother, "And that’s my brother, Rune."
"He’s on the battlefield, isn’t he?" Roan asked and I nodded.
"Let’s go," I said and the two after giving one final glance at the painting they followed me.
We stopped in front of my father’s study and I knocked twice waiting patiently as I heard the footsteps approach the doors from the other side.
Viscount Ainsworth poked his head out and a smile appeared on his face as he saw me.
"My Lady, you’re back!" He grinned.
"I need to see father, Viscount. Is he busy?" I asked.
"Please give me a moment," he said before he hollered inside about my arrival.
I was instantly called inside and I gestured for Lyall and Roan to come along.
They stepped inside and I stopped in front of the desk looking at my father who stood up from his chair and walked towards me.
"My dear!" He came over and stood in front of me with a soft smile.
He had been working a lot these days because of the Magic Gate project and also the business projects that I had started for father and Rune.
"Did you have dinner?" I asked.
"Yes, I did."
"Good,"
I saw Viscount eyeing the two men who were with me but he wasn’t asking anything until I brought up the subject.
"Father," I spoke up.
"Yes?"
"I told you about the ones who assist me back at Ryujin, didn’t I?" I said making him nod.
I gestured at the two and said, "These are two of them."
"Weren’t you only going to bring one of them?" Dad asked.
"I was but then, I thought my aide should also know of this place."
I walked over to Lyall and gestured at him, "This is Lyall Cross, he’s my personal attendant."
Lyall executed a perfect bow in front of my father and then I gestured at Roan.
"And this is Roan, he looks after my administrative tasks and Oasis Foundation. He’s my aide." I said and Roan also bowed.
"It’s a pleasure to meet the people who are helping my daughter." Dad said and the two straightened up.
"It’s our pleasure to be working for Master." Lyall said.
"Yes," Roan added.
"I heard things about you from my daughter a lot, Lyall." Dad said making Lyall flinch.
"She tells me that you have a lot of potential in terms of strength and how you always obey her without any hesitation." Dad said.
"And I’m glad there is someone to help her efficiently with the administrative work," Dad said and then looked at Viscount, "we know how much time and efforts it takes to finish it all."
My father was good enough to make them both feel welcomed and I could see the genuine relief on his face.
"Lyall would be staying here whenever you would be here, right?" Dad asked me.
"Yes, at nights he would go to his family but he would return whenever I want him to." I said.
"I would like to stay by your side all the time, Master." Lyall spoke up.
"Your family needs you around too, Lyall. Especially, your daughter, she’s too young." I reminded him.
"Why not bring his family here?" Dad suggested.
"No, they’re good there."
"Master, I-"
"I am strong enough to protect myself, Lyall. Besides, I won’t hesitate in calling you over so, don’t worry and enjoy your time with your family."
He seemed like he would argue but Dad spoke up, "Take her word, Lyall."
Lyall looked at him, "You will need to make some happy memories with your family, you might not know how much they miss you when you are not around."
I looked up at father who had a sad smile on his face and I felt the pang of guilt in my chest for always running around without thinking about him.
"I understand, Your Grace." Lyall finally said and I smiled.
