Chapter 202: 201. Foundation Of Loyalty (2)

Lyall licked his lips before he spoke up, "You... I mean, your real form is that of a child, Master..."

I nodded and he continued, "So... You were able to do all those impossible things and even are doing those... How?"

I smiled, "Because I’m a Dragon’s scion."

His jaw dropped at that and I chuckled before explaining, "My intelligence and physical attributes advanced thanks to the Dragon’s bloodline that I have inherited. I hadn’t inherited water mana from my biological parents, it’s the blessing of the Dragon who gave me his Mana Heart."

It was so easy to tell him about it, maybe because I knew he wouldn’t ever betray me.

"I thought I knew the most about you... I guess, I was too presumptuous."

I sighed, "It’s fine, you can continue to stay by my side and find out more."

He looked at me once before I smiled at him. I put on the mask over my face as we reached at the Nash household. There was a tall, wiry old man waiting for us at the entrance. The Head Butler of the Nash household Benson.

The carriage stopped and I stepped out followed by Lyall.

"Lord Dragon?" The old butler asked and I nodded.

His actions and his tone of speaking seemed urgent and I could sense why.

"My Lord has been waiting for you, please come this way." He said as he gestured for me to go with him.

I walked behind him wordlessly and he led me inside the large mansion but apart from the grandeur, the air in that place was thick and sombre.

He led me up the stairs towards the reception room and after a few seconds, Lord Nash rushed inside the room.

"Lord Dragon?!" He huffed.

He wasn’t wearing a mask this time so, I was clearly able to see the tension knotting his eyebrows and how pallid his face had become.

"Wh-Where is the cure?" He asked.

"Take me to the patient," I said.

He shook his head, his hair coming undone over his forehead.

"I don’t have time, please!"

"That’s exactly why you should lead me to them." I insisted.

His lips grew in a thin line before he turned, "Please come this way."

He led me through another set of stairs before we went down the corridor and I saw two girls waiting outside a particular room. One of them was a familiar face and another a bit older than her shared the same features as the man who was walking ahead of me.

"You two, go back to your rooms!" He thundered at the girls making them cower.

The two girls then looked at me as they held each other.

"It’s all right, they should see their mother as she wakes up." I said making him whirl around and look at me.

He didn’t say anything as his face pinched into the expression of annoyance and exasperation.

"Please come this way," he said gesturing towards the door.

He pushed the door open and I could hear the moans of pain emerging from the bed that lay in the center of the large room. There was another middle-aged man in the room who looked like a doctor.

"My Lord, where is the medicine? We should hurry!" He rushed towards Wallace Nash.

I walked up to the person lying on the bed and looked at her ashen face and her bony body. She was so pale that the sheets under her faded in comparison. Her strawberry blonde hair was dry and lifelessly strewn around over the pillow while her eyelids were closed.

I activated my Mana Eyes and had a look at her internal composition, her body had been internally damaged her spine was the worst case. It didn’t seem like something foreign was the cause of this, maybe it was something hereditary.

"Lord Dragon, please give me the medicine, now!" Wallace shouted and the woman groaned again.

"It’s me." I said making him stare at me.

"What?"

"I’m the medicine." His arms trembled at his sides.

"Th-This is no time to joke, My Lord. My Lady is-"

"What kind of nonsense are you saying?! We need the medicine now!" Wallace shouted as he grabbed my collar.

I looked at Lyall who stepped ahead and pulled out his sword making the two flinch. But instead of pointing it at Wallace, he gripped the sharp blade and swiped his hand making the blood to drop from the wound.

The scent of his blood filled the air and he stepped towards me presenting his bleeding hand to me.

I sighed as I reached out and placed my hand over his activating the healing spell.

After a second, Lyall wiped the blood from his hand and showed it to Wallace and the doctor making their eyes grow as large as saucers.

"You... How..."

"How is that... possible?"

"We don’t have time." I reminded.

The two didn’t say anything else as I turned to the woman, Countess Yvaine Nash. I placed my hand over her head gently brushing my fingers over her hair.

[Activate Supreme Healing.]

The purification mana rushed out of me flowing over her frail body like waves. I could feel the mana gush through her body touching each and every corner of her internal composition healing it in process.

Slowly, I could see her shrunk and stiffened muscles slowly relaxing, her groans faded into low breaths and I could see color slowly returning to her body. Her cheeks grew flushed and her blue eyelids slowly fluttered before opening up revealing the pink orbs which made me smile.

"I... can see..." She breathed, "... It... doesn’t hurt... anymore."

Her eyes fixed on me and she asked, "Are you... death?"

I chuckled, "For some, yes. But for you, no."

She blinked before her eyes scanned the space, I felt Wallace and the doctor slowly creep closer behind me.

"Yvaine?" Wallace called.

"Wallace?" She spoke up, I saw her lower lip quivering as her eyes glistened before I stepped to the side letting the couple have the full view of each other.

"Darling!"

I saw Wallace rush over to Yvaine and hold her hand gingerly as he stared at her with tears rushing down his face. I smiled a little and then looked at the girls who stood at the doorway rooted in their spots.

"Why don’t you join as well? She’s all right now." I told them.

The girls hesitantly moved and then ran up to their parents.

I watched their warm reunion with a smile on my face before I saw the doctor who looked at the Countess and then at me.

"H-How did you do it? N-None of the herbs or medicines worked on her..."

I smirked, "I told you, I’m the cure."

"C-Can you treat any disease?" He asked.

"This should remain a secret," I told him, "if it gets out anywhere then that person as well as you,"

I pointed my forefinger at him before swiping my finger over my throat horizontally making him flinch before he went pale.

"I am not only capable of healing, understand?"

He nodded vehemently before he bowed to me.

"P-Please pardon me, My Lord!"

I turned my head and looked at Lyall who stood silently on a side. I walked up to him and gently nudged at his arm.

"You didn’t have to injure yourself." I said.

"I am ready to lay my life for you, Master. I know you don’t like explaining yourself, but if a few drops of my blood could save that then, I’m happy to do it again."

I sighed as I kicked him lightly in his shin making him grunt.

"I don’t keep you around to see you shed your blood, don’t do it again."

"I’m sorry, Master."

I shook my head before I looked at the four happily, smiling faces with tears streaming down their faces.

"I kind of miss my father." I mumbled.

Lyall opened his mouth but shut it again and I said, "I’ll take you there tonight and introduce you to my father. You will be at my house when I’m there."

"I’ll be happy to work anywhere you are, Master."

I patted his shoulder before I turned to look at the family again, Lord Hawke aka Count Nash was walking towards us.

"Lord Dragon..." He breathed before he looked down at his feet.

"Her ailment is gone now, but it seems like whatever it was, it was hereditary so, it might appear on your daughters or son. If anyone of them ever show those symptoms then contact me immediately." I instructed and he sniffled before he stepped closer and held my hand in both of his.

I could feel him trembling as he placed his forehead over my hand.

"How could I..."

He slumped and fell over his knees holding my hand to his forehead.

"How could I ever thank you enough..." He cried.

"Thank you... Thank you so much..."

I patted his shoulder before I helped him get back to his feet.

"For me only your alliance is fine," I said and he looked at me.

His eyes were bloodshot and tired but there was a glint in his eyes as if the life had returned to them.

"I shall always stay as your servant, Lord Dragon!"

I chuckled, "Being my ally is fine, Count Nash. Please don’t degrade yourself."

I patted his shoulder and then turned him before we walked up to Countess.

"Please eat your meals properly from now on, something soft and easier to digest will be good for some time. But you should try to walk around to regain your health." I instructed her and a smile graced her features making me have a glimpse of the beautiful woman she used to be.

"Thank you...?" She looked at her husband as if asking who I was.

"Lord Dragon." He answered and I smiled shaking my head.

"Let me introduce myself, My Lady." I said as I swept a perfect bow in front of her.

"I’m Baron Ocean Ryujin, at your service."
