Chapter 193: 192. Outcasts (3)

The massive pressure that burst out of my body caused an explosion which sent the tend flying just before the knights could barge into it.

The water mana engulfed around my body taking the shape of a Dragon as I shot up in the air along with it while Lady Dahlia stayed down in her invisible form.

"What the hell is that?!"

"Dragon!"

"A Dragon!"

"Hurry and shoot!"

"Marquis is dead!"

"That Dragon killed the Marquis!"

I could see the arrows coming straight for me as I circled in the sky watching my assassins and Lady Dahlia taking advantage of the distraction and escaping towards the woods.

The arrows passed by the water dragon and the sudden magic explosion made the water around me tremble. It didn’t harm my Dragon but it made me zero in on the man who was capable of such a thing.

It was a mage who stood among the knights looking up at me, I didn’t care of him as my objective was done here.

"There’s a man in that Dragon!"

"That man is controlling the Dragon!"

"Hurry and aim for that man!"

The arrows started coming towards me but never managed to pierce their way through me as I manipulated the water.

Once I was sure that my teammates were at a safe distance, I controlled the Dragon, it’s mouth opened and it roared loudly shooting huge water slicers that cut through the bodies of the knights.

A lot of them tried to run away but no kind of rock or tree was safe enough as the speed and strength of it was enough to slice through the hindrances and get the targets.

The mage managed to get away but the rest weren’t as lucky, I managed to at least impale if not kill around forty or so knights within a few minutes.

I checked the surroundings and after concluding that it was all done I dissolved the Water Dragon and flew back towards the forest. It might create a ripple effect in future but I guess I had no choice but to do all that.

I flew back cloaked by the deep darkness that shrouded the sky as the dawn crept closer and closer. I flew past the thick forest foliage watching the retreating figures of my team members.

"You’re here!" Nora shouted.

"Did you kill them all?" Roan asked.

"Yes!" I replied.

"I didn’t expect them all to show up like that," Sir Adler piped in.

"The mage who made that magic contract must have sensed the death of Marquis." I said.

"Let’s hurry back, it’s almost daybreak." Lady Dahlia said and I noticed the shades of sky slowly growing lighter.

"It’s fine, we’ve crossed the border." I said.

Before long we were at the base where the assassins and the Dark Elves were waiting.

"Master and others are back!" The assassin who was on a lookout hollered back inside the cave.

I entered the cave and instantly was hit by the scent of blood. The Dark Elves who were gathered at one spot turned and looked at me with wide and teary eyes.

Was I too late in breaking those shackles? Did Anore not make it?

I walked closer to them and noticed the cot where Anore was lying still. His chest was still moving making me feel relieved and then look at the elves.

"Marquis Rolais and a portion of his army is dead." I announced making them gasp.

"Ie-Is he really dead?"

"The-Then we are no longer his slaves?"

"We’re free?"

"Anore won’t have to suffer anymore then?"

They all mumbled looking at each other and then finally at Anore with hope slowly finding its way back to their faces and eyes.

"The Great Dragon saved us..."

"Great Dragon Lord," I turned my head and looked at Cynthia who clasped her hands at her chest looking hesitant.

"W-Will... We have to sign another magic contract if we go with you?" She asked and I frowned slightly.

"I-If that’s the case then," she looked once at Anore before saying, "Please let me sign it this time. I’ll take the responsibility."

I could see the will in her eyes, she wanted to protect Anore and her companions in any way possible.

"There’s no contract," I said making her stare at me.

"Yes?"

"Yes, there’s no contract." I repeated, "If you come with me you will live freely and you will have the respect that you deserve. If you want to move to another place, you’re free to go." I said before I reached out and gently patted her shoulder.

I walked towards Drac who had dozed off in the corner and gently brushed his red hair inspecting the mana flow in his body. It was normal, there was a subtle upgrade but I guess that was a good sign since my blood was also flowing in his veins now. He was officially my kin now.

I turned to face the assassins who were out here for the past few months to keep my word.

"Everyone!" I called making everyone look at me.

"Yes, Master?"

"I sent you here a couple of months ago to," my eyes drifted over to the Dark Elves.

"To get rid of the Monster battalion of Denril before they could harm my boys out here and the work is now done." I announced making the assassins exchange a look a long themselves before looking at the Dark Elves who were still alive and there with them.

"The Monster battalion is out of commission since their Master is dead so, there’s no need to kill them," I announced, "unless they still want to be a part of this war as our enemies."

The Dark Elves flinched as all eyes turned on them including mine.

"We-We don’t want to fight anymore!"

"Yes, we were forced to fight because Marquis Rolais had Anore sign a contract."

"We don’t want to kill anymore!"

The Elves and my eyes drifted over to Anore whom they were trying to cover. I could feel the tension and anxiety oozing out of them as they stared back at us.

"That’s good then, once your leader wakes up your future will be decided." I said and then turned my eyes on my own team.

"Now, that your mission is complete, you all may return to Oasis and go back to your usual work after a break." I said.

"Yes, Master!" They replied in unison making me release a sigh.

I could have them stay back to look after my brother and others but that might only hinder the growth that I want from all of them. The real danger would help them evolve and discover their new limits. I didn’t want to hold my brother back from discovering his strength, that would be cruel.

"Start the preparations for returning," I declared.

The assassins looked visibly relaxed as they chatted freely about what they would do once they returned and what all they missed while being there.

I let them be at their stuff before I walked up to Lady Dahlia, Sir Adler and Roan. I had to talk to them now about what happened at the other day.

Roan was talking to one of the female assassins, while Lady Dahlia and Sir Adler were observing and discussing something.

I cleared my throat making Lady Dahlia and Sir Adler look at me, and I grabbed the back of Roan’s shirt.

"Oi, what?!" Roan gasped and I tugged at him.

"I’ll be taking him for some time," I told Carol the assassin whom he was talking to.

I gestured for the other two to follow me as I dragged Roan with me out of the cave. I let go of him as I walked further away from the cave so that they wouldn’t see me.

Once we were at a good distance and covered by the trees and vegetation, I stopped and turned to face the three. I sighed as I brought my hand up and removed my sapphire earstud reverting back to my original self.

Roan gasped, the other two held blank expressions but an inquistive glint twinkled in Sir Adler’s eyes and Lady Dahlia seemed like she was ready for any explanation.

"I had warned you the other day and I will repeat that warning again this time," I said.

"If this gets out to anyone, even your family members, I won’t hesitate before erasing your existences." I threatened letting my Dragon’s Presence wash over them and they stepped back by one foot.

"Wait, who am I going to tell?! Stop threatening while you’re in that adorable child’s body."

"Is this you real identity?" Lady Dahlia asked.

"I... formally greet you, Grand Duchess." I said as I curtsied.

"It’s quite unexpected to see you here, Lady Aurelius."

Sir Adler and Roan’s jaws dropped as Lady Dahlia greeted me back and they stared in between me and her.

"Wait... Is this your real form, Master... Mistress?" Roan gasped.

"Yes," I answered.

"You’re the daughter of Aurelius household... As in, you are Duke Aurelius’s daughter?" Sir Adler asked.

"Yes, I’m Reina Aurelius."
