Chapter 92: Chapter 92- Showing His Ability (2)

Zhang Wen or the third elder pointed his hands towards Yang Chen and introduced him.

"Hohh?! An alchemist you say?" the moment they heard his introduction, they made amused faces. There was no surprise in their eyes, it was as if they had already predicted this.

"This young friend.. can I ask you why you are hiding your face like that?" one of the elders reclined on his seat and casually asked him a question. Of course, no interest could be seen on his face, he was just initiating small talks.

"I have my own reasons, that is none of your concern".

However, he didn’t expect to receive a short cold reply making him a little surprised. He had heard that the alchemists were very arrogant and haughty but the man in front of him wasn’t ascertained to be an alchemist yet he was already acting the part.

The elder snorted before a strange smile appeared on his face. After the fourth elder became silent, the second elder took it upon himself to verify the fact.

"Haha... young friend my Zhang clan is indeed in a little trouble. As you know from that notice, the first elder of our clan got hurt while fighting a demonic beast. To cure him, we need an alchemist or a specific tier 2 pill that is very hard to find around this region".

"Our clan has searched numerous auction houses but as you know wounds tend to get worse the longer they are left unattended hence this matter is of utmost importance to our clan".

The way the second elder was putting the whole situation, he made it sound like the first elder didn’t receive that mortal of a wound. When in truth Yang Chen who had confirmed with his [Nature’s Boundless Eyes], could tell that the situation of the elder was quite grim and nowhere as simple as the second elder mentioned it.

Though that being said, he understood why the elder was putting it like that after all, they did not want the news of their first elder being gravely hurt to leak out. That would be like announcing to their enemies that their strength had fallen.

"This friend claims that you are an alchemist? If you do not mind, can you show us a little bit of your skills?" the second elder asked.

Counting Yang Chen, this would be the fourth time that a person walked into their doorstep blinded by the reward promised in the notice and claiming that they were alchemists.

As such this wasn’t his first time asking this question. Although he put it like he wanted to see the other party’s skill he did not hold much expectations.

How could Yang Chen not notice their thoughts? At some unknown point in time, a crowd had gathered around him. They were all bustling with hubbub, waiting for him to make a fool out of himself.

They had all seen the clowns who came before him flounder around and try to make excuses when the second elder asked them to show their skills. Each and every one of them failed miserably at this point and it was confirmed that they were all quacks.

They thought that Yang Chen was a quack too. However, he was going to disappoint them all. He had the Divine skill, the Great Sage Emperor’s Pill Vision. Therefore, his skills in alchemy were real.

He extended his right hand and pale blue flame blazed out of it. [Great Napalm Command], after an entire day of refining pills, the progress bar of the skill was more than half filled.

Which is to say, he was very close to reaching the intermediate completion rate. The level of proficiency that Yang chen showed with his flames, astonished everyone in the hall and made them shut their mouths.

He sometimes made a whip out of the flames, other times he would simply rotate it around his body or control it from a distance.

"How’s this?" Yang Chen asked. The four elders including the third elder who brought him in, blinked their eyes and straightened their gait. Surprise was evident in their face.

It was a widely known fact that alchemists needs to have a strong grasp on flame attribute battle skills to refine pills. The degree of their control over flames also reflects their skills in alchemy.

Although they did not know much intrinsic details on alchemists or on the subject matter, but what they did know was that alchemists usually prefer to use a high grade flame attribute battle skills.

The grade becomes higher the greater the rank of that alchemist is. As such, they could see from the green flames on Yang Chen’s hands that they were no ordinary battle skills but a high grade one.

Probably a sky grade.

The moment this realisation struck the elders, they all involuntarily gasped. Not to mention that a Sky Grade battle skill was incredibly rare, even their Zhang Clan only had a couple of battle skills in their possession.

And even then, the tiers of those Sky Grade battle skills were around low and middle tiers. But from the battle skill that the young man displayed, they could instinctively tell that it was a high tier one.

It can be said that the young man in front of them already possessed a treasure greater than whatever their clan can offer him as such, he shouldn’t be after the rewards.

The elders were forced to reassess yang Chen. Could he really be an alchemist?

Truth be told, they were in urgent need of an alchemist. The injuries on the first elder had festered and if they didn’t secure an alchemist or the profound soothing pill which was a rare tier 2 pill, the first elder might lose his powers and become a cripple.

If that happened, the Zhang clan would lose a considerable amount of their strength. And who knows how the other two clans who were eyeing them with the eyes of the predator would react then.

At this moment, the entire hall became silent. Seeing that the person this time had considerable skill, the fourth elder who was shut up by Yang Chen’s blunt remark, spoke once again.
