Chapter 633: 9.18.1 The perverted old man.
The ferocity of the attack left Rosso hapless, unable to move and seeing that death would soon come to him. Such a pity, although my memories lacked the details of who this man was, or why he showed such aggression, the flames on his body were sign enough. A radiant knight, the perfect suppressant for Rosso, who carried multiple curses inside his body.
Death would be a luxury to my boy.
"*sniff... the spunk of a rat. He is here." Then the man turned and looked at me, who stared at him without fear. "You are him, aren’t you?" There was a sense of familiarity in his voice, sadly, my memories at the moment were limited, even with the help that Malidi gave me to stabilize my current existence, it would be a far cry for me to say that the memories that didn’t even exist before are back.
While for this gentleman, those burning eyes were proof that he was far from a stranger, he knows me, my habits, and my nature. For it’s bizarre for one to be so adept at smelling that he notices my smell.
"I so want to talk to you, but a coward like you would never dare to leave that rat’s body." There was a sense of anger in this man’s mouth, he looked at me with hatred and obsession, but he never let go of Rosso, nor tried to capture me. Well not like he needed to do any of those manually considering a will of a Legend was enough to crush us.
"But let’s see if you remain quiet after I kill this puppet of yours." With those words, the flames on Rosso’s body increase, burning his hair, skin, and then the flesh. It was an excruciating scene, I can only imagine the pain, but Rosso experienced it all.
How it felt like to get your eyes melted off, your blood boil over, and then your skin smelling a bit delectable. Such an odd experience.
But it was at this time, a shout came from the other Knight who overlooked the girl named Remira. "Master, killing him will only leave us with more questions... spare him for now." At those words, this man finally paused his torture.
And it was torture, slowly killing one of my men in front of me. Although I lacked the information on when and how this boy was created by me, he was still my pupil, making me wish to rush over and kill this Knight.
Sadly, I was a mere rat and nothing more.
"As you say my dear disciple." the man threw Rosso’s body to the side, while he looked at me who ran to Rosso with mockery in his eyes. "Leave him alive for now... there is barely any competition on our end."
As Alabasta spoke such words, the place he came from suddenly divided, and another figure dropped down. It was none other than the Priestess of the Red Sun. It took her a minute to arrive here, which the duo found odd, but considering they were only in a temporary relationship, Vance didn’t bother to pry any deeper.
"It would seem you have caused some chaos in my absence." She spoke, overlooking Rosso’s body with some interest. With her rank and knowledge, it was easy to see who it was from the smell of blood alone. ’What they say is true... he is of Royal blood.’ The majority might know the truth as the Royal family has done their best to hide the fact that the Blood Flower Fiend belonged to their family.
But the Church of Red Sun was long aware of the truth and hence knew of the rogue Bloodcrow, as in this specific case, a Bloodheart that caused all that mayhem. ’A puppet of his potential would be enough to hold them back. Sadly, he is not fated with me.’ She did find it a bit wasteful, but what can she say? The situation was not right at the moment, and from the actions of the master and disciple alone, it can be seen that they intended to take this broken boy as their bounty.
"You are here Priestess Cold," Alabasta spoke, before pointing toward the rat. "I wonder if the demon you were speaking of was him." He said he did not show much emotion toward Jester’s clone.
Who appeared harmless on the surface and even nothing more than a critter at the moment, but in the eyes of the priestess who can see the soul of individuals, what appeared in front of her was... nothing.
"A false being? You should be Jester Knight Alabasta, all I see in front of me is another one of those fake creations like before, how can it be a real threat." The worlds before recreated the soul’s body and everything in between heaven and earth, which, if the Cold Corpses wanted, could be used in her creations. But at the end of the day, they were false, the moment they leave these places, these things would return to dust.
"A false one, well I had suspicions, but it would seem to be the case..." Alabasta looked at the rat again, which was slowly rubbing on Rosso’s burned body. "A clone like always... even faker than before... hah, then he is not your target I believe." With those words, Alabasta’s fist crushed, causing the rat to explode all over and exposing a soul that few could see. "I will end your true body soon enough." With those words, the soul that appeared was burned at that very moment.
While Rosso, even with the state he was in, he still struggled to see this happen so casually in front of him. "Still some fight left." Which Alabasta didn’t appreciate, intending to bring greater harm to Rosso? But he was held back by Cold corpses. "It would be better to hold back for now... this boy seemed to be the Blood Flower Fiend that caused all the chaos in Rudrain not too long ago... various parties are interested in getting hold of him." Well one of those parties was herself and the church or Red Sun, but she can’t say that yet, nor the reason of her interest.
"Don’t worry, I believe he is not alone... many came here following that wraith’s request, and this might be just one of them." At this point, Alabasta looked to the library. "Others might be there... I already sense some movements."
’And not just from that Library." At those words, Alabasta stabbed his arm directly into the ground below him and then yanked out what appeared to be a monster. "What is this?" Alabasta wondered, along with the Cold Corpses.
However, there was no need to wait for answers, as the flames from Alabasta’s body touched the beast, intending to burn him like Rosso.
But before they could cause harm, a dark flame with a reddish hue appeared all over the monster’s body, devouring Alabasta’s flames in an instant. Which surprised him before he smiled. "Clifford spoke the truth, you are a danger." The one that appeared in front of him was none other than Farhad, whose body instantly mutated into a larger being with tentacles flying around the area.
"Farhad, what are you doing... do you wish for death?" Farhad’s new body Vance, its the first time he had seen such an amalgamation of organs or body parts, it appeared far from natural. And for some reason, for the first time, Vance even felt a level of threat from this giant being.
A rarity in his experience.
"You think this thing is capable of speech?’ While Alabasta, if it looks like a monster, walks like a monster and refuses to talk, or is unable to, then the chances are that it is a monster.
And Alabasta is not the kind to show mercy to these kinds of beings.
"It’s good the girl is sleeping." He spoke, as his arm turned into a flying sickle, ready to annihilate Farhad from the face of the earth and recover the flames of Samadhi in his body.
But before he could do such a thing, the body of Farhad suddenly stopped wrritting, as its tentacles fell down on their own. "Don’t besmirch the sanctity of this blessed place." Came the voice as Farhad’s body suddenly compressed out of nowhere and returned to that of a normal human.
With a face that Farhad had even forgotten himself. Which was his real one. "What?" And this whole thing felt dirty to him. It’s the first time in years since he felt what disgust is like.
All his cells cried in disgust and fear as he puked what appeared to be rotten blood out of his body.
While Alabasta was ready to kill Farhad? Well, he backed off as a figure slowly walked out of the library.
A figure with a weak body and even weaker existence, followed by what appeared to be two dwarves.
And yes, it was two dwarves and no armor.
"You.... you must be Malidi. Your face still looks the same as back then." Alabasta spoke, showing a hint of frustration toward this bastard.
This man had turned even more perverted than last time.
